  • "Ochenta was very comfortable and clean."

Abi was very helpful and keen to ensure our stay was a pleasant one.

  • "The accommodation was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for our stay."

The weather was lovely and the position of the mobile home gave us a feeling of being surrounded by nature. It was a short 15 min walk to the lovely beach of Combe Martin. I was with my elderly Mum who also enjoyed the holiday. The site is hilly so I drove my Mum to the local beach where there was carpark and Cafe. I would definitely stay again as it gave us a good position to explore the Devon area.

  • "Very comfortable caravan on a quiet site with stunning views from club house - useful for meals."

Caravan was well fitted out and exceptionally clean with a good degree of privacy. Parking is quite tight next to the van itself but adequate parking close by. A very enjoyable week despite the unsettled weather.

  • "Mobile home lived up to all expectations."

We have stayed on this site previously so was good to know exactly the position of this mobile on the site as parking is often a problem but not here. Van is in lovely condition and kept well and clean by Abi, the owner, who also left a very nice welcome pack and fresh flowers. We know the area well and it is always good to be able to walk out into the local village and beach without having to use the car all the time even if it is a steep walk back.

  • "Lovely place to stay."

Owners are were easy to reach and helpful. Combe Martin is a lovely cove with good food shopping at the local shop and bars, especially The Dolphin. Only drawbacks are that the caravan site is on a steep hill but is fine if you are healthy and the mobile reception and internet on the site is virtually unusable, but down in the town it is fine and The Dolphin has excellent wifi. We had a lovely time.

  • "Ochenta is in a quiet nook of the John Fowler site."

The site is hilly so beware! The grounds are well kept and there are good facilities and a Bar/Restaurant with stunning views. Ochenta was a perfect base for us to explore the South West Coast Path which was virtually on the doorstep. Combe Martin (the longest village England) has a wee Co-op and a great butcher/farm shop which stocked local produce. The caravan was spotless, had everything we needed and more. It was nice to have a good size fridge and freezer. At the end of the day, no dishes either as there’s a full size dishwasher. The bed was comfortable with a walk in wardrobe so plenty of room for clothes. The shower had good pressure which is always nice after a day hiking. The wrap around decking was a great area to sit out on an enjoy the sun and surrounding trees. Communication with the owners was 100%. During our stay the cafetière broke, we managed to buy a new one from Tesco (6 miles away in Ilfracombe) and were paid via BACS immediately. Overall we cannot fault this accommodation and would not hesitate to recommend.

Tucked away in a little corner was just perfect, on arrival there was a most appreciated welcome pack waiting for us ..thank you just what we needed after a 4.5 hr drive. The village is just a short walk away too.

The caravan was immaculate and had everything we needed together with a lovely welcome pack! It was tucked away from the rest of the site so very quiet and relaxing. I would highly recommend!

  • "The caravan was great, it was so well equipped and had everything we needed."

We especially loved the spacious wardrobe. The site we were on is quiet but the facilities are good. The swimming pool was warm. The local village of Combe Martin is a short walk away with places to eat and places to get grocery shopping. We visited the sister site which is a short hilly walk, that was OK but did get very busy and had to wait an hour for food, luckily they had entertainment so my 3 and 5 year old were amused. Need to head up their about 5pm to get a table. Overall, fab caravan, great location for a young family as lots to do around. We visited the Dinosaur and wildlife park and Watermouth Castle/theme park. Both excellent and within 10 min drives. Abi, the owner, was really friendly and made sure we had all we needed.

  • "We had a lovely holiday."

This was a very last minute booking. I was somewhat surprised to find anywhere in North Devon so late in the day. I was actually surprised and a bit anxious when I found this lovely caravan. I couldn’t understand why it was the only holiday apartment still available. What could be wrong with it I thought. Actually there was nothing wrong with it. It turns out we were the first paying guests for the new owner (Abi) and this was a new listing. How lucky were we to find this absolute gem. There were three of us. Two adults and a 14 year old. The caravan had everything that you would need and more. It’s the first van I’ve been in with a dishwasher! It was in a peaceful setting at the top of the hill. Set aside with only one other van and a house as your immediate neighbours. When you walk down the hill you will find a small clubhouse which is worth using if only for the stunning sea views. There is a beach only five minutes walk away. We used the caravan as a base as we had quite an activity filled week but honestly you won’t go far wrong if you rent this van. Also on site is a small outdoor pool. Abi left us a lovely card and some fudge and some basic essentials on arrival which was a very nice thought. (Gutted we left behind the card) Abi is a lovely host and she can not do enough for you. The only issue I would raise is this is not a suitable site for people with no car snd mobility issues as the hills up and down are very steep. Otherwise book with confidence. Sykes were very good taking the booking. It was very easy and the chap I dealt with was very helpful. Good luck and have a wonderful holiday. Stuart, Millie & Mason Budd
