This is a lovely cottage made very special by having two sitting areas with great views.

Very welcoming owners. Fabulous location on the edge of the moor. Close to Chagford where there's great shopping. Would recommend feeding time at the otter sanctuary in Buckfastleigh as a trip out.

We had a wonderful week at this delightful cottage.

Brilliant setting right on the edge of Dartmoor with views and walks at hand. Thoughtfully provided milk and chocolates together with fresh flowers greeted us when we arrived. Our hosts Pauline and Jim were great, happy to advise on local landmarks, a great source of knowledge. They were always available but never intrusive. With the wood burner to cheer up a windy wet day and a comfortable bed we would happily spend another holiday in the future.

The holiday property provided an excellent opportunity to appreciate Dartmoor.

If walking is your priority then many walks can be taken from tne accommodation . The local village is very interesting historically , has a number of places to eat , it provides a backdrop to the culture of the area. Dartmoor it gives an opportunity to relax in a beautiful part of England , at peace with itself and a deep and rich relationship with nature .

Amazing views, total peace and the added advantage of an enclosed garden for the dog, with Dartmoor out of the gate to explore.

Absolutely beautiful location but take note about Devon banks and narrow lanes. Some are very narrow. Owners are lovely people and extremely helpful.

hosts always there but never in sight the annex was the perfect stay for me my wife and our two dogs very. Homely and cozy with a lovely enclosed garden very peace full and secluded but only a short drive to chagford where there is 3 excellent pubs we spent a lot of time sitting in the conservatory watching nature and the amazing view as we definitely will be back thank you Jim and Pauline

We had a thoroughly fantastic and relaxing stay at this lovely gem of a property.

Welcomed on arrival by our friendly hosts and provided with milk and a lovely loaf of locally baked bread. Also greeted by beautiful flowers and tasty chocolates so kindly provided. Kestorway is well equipped with everything for a comfortable and memorable stay. The history of the property is fascinating and the views from all windows amazing. Walking on Dartmoor is accessible from the front door and the small moorland towns of Chagford and Moretonhampstead worth exploring. Such a lovely place and we definitely wish to return.

You can walk straight out of the garden onto Dartmoor. The hosts are very welcoming and have ensured that everything is of a high standard for your stay.

We enjoyed staying at Kestorway Cottage.

It was very cosy, clean, and had a great view from the cottage, along with a wood burner and everything we needed. Pauline and Jim were very helpful and kind. We enjoyed the long walk around. The cottage is situated at the top, and as soon as we stepped out, we had a good view and a three-hour walking path right outside. We will consider coming back again to stay there.

Beautiful place in a lovely and quiet location.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts who couldnt do enough for us! The property was very clean and welcoming with lovely log burner with plenty of logs The most amazing views from every window which we spent a lot of time looking out of! :) Well appointed little annex - perfect for a quiet and beautiful getaway!

Kestorway is beautiful, set in an idyllic moor land with amazing views, the property owners are wonderful and could not do enough for us, unfortunately I was poorly whilst there but the owners were fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed.

The only thing I would suggest to improve is the wifi and tv, the tv is tiny and the wifi didn't allow complete streaming on my lap top/iPad, unfortunately the weather was crazy why we was there so had to stay in so a bigger tv etc would have been beneficial, but this should not put you off as everything else was perfect. thank you for having us and we will definitely return in there summer :) xx

We have just returned from a glorious week in this peaceful cottage on the very edge of Dartmoor and what a wonderful area it is to explore.

Pauline and Jim are super hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them including providing garden chairs so we could enjoy the views with a G & T at the end of a tiring day. Many thanks, David, Celia and Molly.

.....fabulous hidden gem we will be returning...dogs loved it and such a beautiful quiet place to just simply relax and unwind, such peace of mind knowing garden fully secure for our 3 dogs too. Beautiful location, beautiful place and so much on your doorstep to explore and further afield should you so wish to the coast which we enjoyed on two days of our stay. Pauline and Jim with all their wonderful animals were so incredibly kind and welcoming, we felt so at home and nothing was too much for them. We loved our little extras on arrival which was so appreciated and wished we could have enjoyed a bit longer there, perhaps next time. Cannot fault in anyway, really is a truly beautiful and idyllic place to stay - thank you xx

A beautiful place to unwind and enjoy some peace.

Wonderful rural and peaceful location, right on the edge of Dartmoor.

You step out of your gate right onto the moor. Nearby Chagford is a quintessential English village, with all you need. Pauline and Jim are delightful hosts, very knowledgeable and helpful. The television is all right but we would suggest a larger one would be better.

The feeling of being able to walk directly out onto Moor in such a tranquil location was a truly magical experience.

The weather was not kind to us, but in spite of this, the cottage was always extremely warm and cosy. The views from the rooms are lovely and even in adverse weather you can enjoy wonderful scenery whilst being comfortable in front of the logburner. It is definitely a place to recharge and there are very few places quite like it. Pauline and Jim are caring and attentive hosts and it is easy to see why many guests keep coming back.

Had a fabulous week at Kestorway, its location on Dartmoor is truly unique.

The owners, who live next door, are relaxed and friendly with great local knowledge and advice on suitable walks, pubs and places to visit. The accommodation is well designed to take in the wonderful views across the valley and is very comfortable and clean, with the bonus of a wood burning stove, logs and kindling and good sized, secure garden.

Having just returned from Kestorway I’m already wishing I could go back.

I’ve always been happy to be home after holiday but not this time! The cottage is so romantic, extremely well equipped, comfortable, clean and the perfect location right on top of the moor. A must stay for anyone looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life and be at one with nature. My dogs were also in their element being able to walk out of the door straight onto the moor with all the exciting smells of other animals around. We saw cattle, sheep, horses and many types of birds on our rambling adventures together. There are endless stunning walks exploring stone circles, wild swimming in the salmon weir, afternoon tea, and the nearby quaint town of Chagford which has everything you would need to cater in self accommodation as well as an outdoor swimming pool. The hosts Pauline and Jim are absolutely lovely, so accommodating and full of information about the local area. They were very kind to my 11 year old son who has special needs and normally too shy to talk to new people but described them as “the nicest people you could ever meet and the world is a better place with them in it.”

The property and its location were perfect.

A place where you can recharge. The property was great and had everything you need and more and the garden is perfect for our dogs. I would highly recommend Kestor Way to anyone who want to be away from it all.

This was a wonderful holiday. The property is lovely and the location right on the edge of the moor is sublime. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Can't criticise a thing.

If you need a tonic from the stresses and strains of daily life this light filled accommodation on the edge of the moor is the place for you, I couldn’t fault it.

The owners have gone that extra mile to ensure guests have a great stay,we give them top marks and praise for this holiday home.

A get away from it all holiday with all the benefits....

We were given a warm and friendly welcome by Pauline and Jim, with a bonus of fresh flowers and chocolates.

They accomplished the perfect balance of a reassuring presence should we need advice, while discreetly respecting our privacy. The cottage was very warm, comfortable and cosy, with ample fuel for the very efficient wood burner. We had superb views over the North Teign valley from our windows. It was a superb base for some great and varied walks, on the moor and in the Teign valley. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kestorway as a holiday base.

There is no category that I wouldn’t give top marks, literally have nothing but really good things to say about the cottage and especially about Pauline and Jim.

Such a lovely couple who couldn’t do any more for their guests , so welcoming and nice from beginning of holiday to the end.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kestorway - a real little gem.

We and our dog were made so welcome. Jim and Pauline were there to help us whenever we needed it but otherwise we had total privacy. Walks literally out of the garden gate straight onto the moor. The cottage has everything we needed and the addition of the conservatory was a bonus we took great advantage of, sitting late into the night listening to the owl in the valley. Thank you for a great stay - we will definitely be returning to Kestorway!

Area is stunning, the owners are respectful of privacy and helpful in any needs and information, going that extra mile.

I would come back in an instant. My service dog was welcomed with open arms, literally.

This cottage is in a lovely setting right on the edge of the moor and above the Upper Teign valley with spectacular views.

We appreciated the use of the very spacious garden from which you can walk straight out on to Chagford Common and further on to the high moor. Owners Pauline and Jim were very helpful hosts providing local detail. We would definitely go again to explore more of this beautiful area.

Location of Kestorway is beautiful with access to Dartmoor on your doorstep.

The lanes leading to the property are very narrow and challenging.

The location, accommodation and hosts were superb.

A very lovely quiet place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Two downsides from my point of view which has nothing really to do with the venue and hosts, 1. very narrow roads which could do with regular trimming as my car sustained minor scratches either side from the hedges 2. Advertised as dog friendly. The accommodation is, but once out on the moors, they must be kept on a lead at all times, which is no break for our Labrador who loves his exercise to be vigorous. I do understand why though, but this must be stated for dog owners wishing to stay on Dartmoor. All in all, a very enjoyable stay with Pauline and Jim Thankyou

The views from the cottage are far better than the pictures on the website suggest, it was stunning.

The kitchen is tiny, but surprisingly well equipped and the accommodation comfortable and cosy, the hosts welcoming and helpful but also left us to our own devices. A great location (whatever the weather!) for exploring Dartmoor. Looking forward to returning in the future.

We had the most pleasant and relaxing week at Kestorway, the finishing touches made all the difference, Bone China, lovely soft towels, lovely bedding and very comfortable bed, The added extras left were a lovely treat, eggs, flowers, chocolates, milk etc.

.. We went out walking every day and the walks and views were just stunning, also lovely sunsets out of the lounge window were stunning, I would highly recommend Kestorway for a quiet relaxing stay, but if you want a corner shop and all local facilities on your doorstep this may not be for you as the nearest shop is 3 miles away

.. and I will come a third time, that's for sure ... Jim and Pauline are so friendly, the cottage is wonderful equipped in a wonderful area, I love it!

If you want or need to get away from it all, this is the place for you!

Right on the edge of the moors with fantastic views. The twisting lane up from Chagford is a bit of a challenge but taken with care its not a problem. The accomadation is spotless clean nicely laid out and perfect for two. Large windows give a lot of light and great views. Great walks right on your doorstep. Do try the fantastic pubs in town!

Everything was wonderful - the light, airy, beautifully equipped accommodation, the setting, the birdsong, the peace and tranquility, and the VIEWS!

Jim and Pauline are lovely people, along with their dog, cats, and rescued chickens (which lay gorgeous eggs). The locality is awash with neolithic stone circles, stone rows, hut circles, etc which we found fascinating. Chagford's marvellous, a place of real character, with probably the finest church we've ever seen. Anyone wanting to 'get away from it all', and not fazed by very narrow winding lanes, will surely love it here! Roger Wyld.

The owners were exceptionally helpful and made me feel extremely comfortable! Will definitely be going back, as it was extremely safe for my anxious dog, we both had a blast!

An absolutely idyllic location, peace, birdsong, starry skies.

A wonderful variety of walks starting outside the garden gate which opens out onto the moor. Shops, pubs and cafes in Chagford very dog friendly. Friendly helpful owners placed chocolates, fresh flowers and fresh eggs in the property for our arrival. We will definitely return.

I love this location due to the fact that you can walk onto the moor from the garden gate.

It's ideal for anyone wanting quiet, walking and relaxing and to be able to take the dogs . It's not for anyone who wants a fish and chip shop or ice cream van on their doorstep, or a large TV. Chagford is lovely but expensive. I am returning next year.

Kestorway is by far the best property on your books for walking on Dartmoor straight from the garden gate.

It is like a home from home with an exceedingly warm welcome from the owners who share my love of dogs and Dartmoor. The accommodation is well equipped and very comfortable. The perfect retreat to recharge your batteries.
