  • "We spent a lovely few days at The Hideaway, the only thing against us was the weather."

We couldn't have wished for more from our host Vicky, and the recommendations were excellent. A very well presented and furnished cottage, we will definitely return in the future.

  • "On arrival we were not disappointed lovely setting and peaceful."

Accommodation is bright fresh and with everything we would need for our stay. Vicky and Michael are the prefect hosts with nothing too much trouble, they took time out of their busy days to explain various things around the farm which we appreciated. The beds are very comfortable and the views are great. The property is within easy reach of many beaches, we had a relaxing time and an enjoyable rest. We are yet to open our honey but are looking forward to a taste of Devon.

  • "A real gem!"

A lot of thought has obviously gone into setting up the very well equipped Hide Away which is stylishly and comfortably furnished. The peace and quiet hit us within minutes of arriving when, with our first cuppa, we sat at the patio table and took in views of the valley beyond listening to birdsong and clucking hens. To our amusement, the cows in the adjoining field came to the fence to check us out. Relaxing sleep was achieved in the extremely comfortable bed. The accommodation is spacious, clean, light and bright. Location is perfect for visiting local beaches, country towns and villages details of which can be found in the Guest folder. Vicky is an excellent, friendly, smiley Host who bakes a delicious Lemon Drizzle cake. Thank you. We will definitely be back but Sykes - Why only 4 ticks?

It was a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed and more. The bed was very comfortable, shower was great, all the furnishings and equipment were of a very good standard. Location of the house was perfect for beaches and local towns.

  • "Recently converted, spotlessly clean and very comfortable."

The master bedroom extends through to the Ground Floor of the main house so light sleepers may hear movement above. Good views. Our nice small garden was lovely to sit in for breakfast in the sunshine whilst watching the cows in the field, and in our case, a bottle-fed calf. The master bedroom looks out over the owner's garden and the valley beyond. Devon lanes are narrow but, in late May, quiet, so not much reversing required. Vicky is an excellent host.
