Warren Cottage

Our third weekend stay at the cottage.

Everything provided by the owner - just need to take a tea towel. Clear instructions in advance and in notes on arrival. Convenient for local shop and pub, and ideally located for countryside and coastal walks with our dog. Buses run regularly to all local towns for those who don't wish to drive. Very quiet location, allowing a good night's sleep.

We spent a lovely few days at Warren Cottage.

All the facilities were good, car parking was good, comfortable rooms and everything in working order. Private enclosed garden which was good for dogs and a lovely shared courtyard with benches and seating for family gatherings.

Comfy beds and adequate kitchen facilities.

Chairs and sofa low down and hard to get up from. Very bland and boring. A few pictures would help. Disappointed to have no milk provided as wanted a cuppa on arrival, just a few wrapped tea bags and 3 small packs of biscuits. No folder of instructions just a few loose sheets of necessary local facilities. Had to hunt for instructions for the heating and wi-fi password. Wi- fi ok but no phone signal unless out in the car park. Shower drain was full of sludge. Duvet covers had lost all the buttons. Passive-aggressive note through the door about ‘rules’ for occupants as we were the ‘only’ holiday rental (although next door was also occupied by holiday makers). The full time residents were aloof and snooty. We were definitely not made to feel welcome. The patio only gets sun in the morning as it is sunken and the steps up to the car park are steep. This could be a lovely property in a beautiful setting with a bit more effort, although that won’t change the negative attitude of the permanent residents.

Comfortable beds with quality bedding and towels makes a huge difference - greatly appreciated. Overall an excellent property - highly recommended !

Great property in a really tranquil spot.

The accommodation was very clean, well furnished with comfortable chairs and well equipped. We experienced no problems at all during our stay and would certainly stay here again when we are in the area.

Had difficulty in operating the gas heating system.

The radiators would only warm half way up, despite the thermostats being turned up. This suggested that the whole system needed a full service. Also it would be a good Idea to have a hand rail installed on the steps in the back garden to assist the elderly and the gate post is very loose.

Thoughtful touches include apple juice in the fridge, biscuits for humans, treats for dogs, a lantern, and comprehensive instructions about every aspect. A quiet location (no road noise). 3-minute walk to the pub (via a footpath, as the road is rather narrow) and a 5-minute stroll to the shop. Lovely for dogs, fields and footpaths lead to the river walk (then to Otterton or Newton Poppleford) - all off-lead.

Lovely cottage in great location.

Bed very comfortable. Shower room good . Kitchen facilities very good. No dishwasher though. Sofa comfortable . TV works well as does WiFi. Décor rather dated and mismatched . Bed linen mismatched . Towels hard and well used . Outside area good but needs upkeeping . Overall did enjoy my stay

We had a lovely stay at Warren cottage everything we need an added bonus we had are own garden to relax in which was lovely.

Location was great to see the sights and a lovely friendly pub near by that do great meal and dog friendly. We will definitely be returning in the future. Great place.

Key collection easy. Cottage is very comfortable, quiet, and great dog walking accessible without going onto any roads. Pleasant back garden, and allocated parking. Owner was very helpful when I rang about a patio door lock problem - came out quickly to assess the issue.

We had a lovely week at Warren cottage very clean and comfortable lovely quite spot and pub only a few minutes walk that serves a great Sunday lunch.

We did have a problem with the hot water but it was sorted straight away by Ben the owner. We will definitely be back.

Warren Cottage and surrounding area was perfect for us and our dogs "Daisy " and "Lola".

Well we were not expecting Warren Cottage to be as splendid as it was.

We were only staying 3 nights as a family of 4. It was perfect. The location was ideal for what we wanted to do and the cottage itself was clean and well equipped. The beds are very comfortable. The grounds and court yard garden were lovely. Great to explore and walk your dog. The Otter pub next door was only a short walk away and served delicious food. You never heard anyone else in the other cottages it was quiet but not too remote. Car parking was easy. All instructions and contact from the owners were clear and concise. It left us feeling like we definitely would be back to explore some more. Thank you x

Comfortable apartment in a lovely, quiet location.

We were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed the local walks - the river walk to Otterton was a highlight. The local shop is only open until 2PM at the moment due to lack of staff, so don't make our mistake and assume you can get groceries after you arrive!

Really lovely little apartment, great location with easy access to lots of things to do, very comfortable beds and nice to be able to enjoy with the dog too ☺️

Outside light doesn't come on until you are standing on the lawn, which is dangerous because of the steps.

The patio doors need attention. Shower door needs attention. Garden needs tidying up.
