  • "A fantastic large house everything needed for a relaxing stay."

Warm and cosy from the moment we turned up, helpful and welcoming hosts, dog friendly, well equipped kitchen, and finished to a high standard both inside and out. Games room, hot tub and BBQ hut all added to the enjoyment. All bedrooms were impressive and each has an en-suite, which is hard to find. We would very happily stay again.

  • "Wonderful property and the best equipped kitchen."

Plenty of space for cooking and eating, and relaxing all together. Bedrooms all beautifully decorated and comfortable with plenty of storage space. Loved the hot tub and games room and BBQ hut.

  • "Beautiful house, very comfortable and well equipped."

Owner couldn’t be more helpful, We had a great time, thank you. Unfortunately Sykes Cottages failed to communicate our request for bedding change mid week to the owner which we had paid for. Luckily the owner sorted this out for us.

Sykes response - We are very sorry that your request wasn't communicated to the owner. This was an error on our part and we offer our sincere apologies. We are glad that the owner was able to accommodate your request and we are glad that you had a lovely time at the property. Property Owner

  • "We had the most wonderful stay at Lake View."

Samantha was so kind and helpful and we are truly greatful for the opportunity to stay in such beautiful accommodation. Everything inside and out was of a very high standard, beautifully decorated and furnished and spotlessly clean. The adults, teenagers, children and the dog all thoroughly enjoyed it all. The BBQ hut was excellent and the hot tub was very much enjoyed. There was so much space for everyone and the garden and games room was perfect for all of us. We all had a very special holiday and we would love to come back! Thank you for everything Samantha, we appreciate all the hard work that you and Jason put in to what you do. Lake View is a credit to you xx

  • "My family and I had the most amazing stay at Lake View!"

Thank you for making us feel so welcome and at home. The property was gorgeous and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, the hosts had thought of everything! We were even greeted with a welcome hamper and milk already in the fridge, which was greatly appreciated. We used the Games Room a lot whilst we were staying and it is definitely a fantastic addition that you don’t get with many properties like this. We have already been recommending Lake View to others and hope to return in the future. Thank you!

  • "Very welcoming from the moment we arrived."

Any issues we faced were addressed straight away no mater how late in the day. Property was self catering however majority of the necessities were provided meaning less stuff to bring with us. Very well maintained property.

  • "From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome and introduced to the accommodation and facilities on offer."

The thoughtful welcome pack was greatly enjoyed by all and the dogs too. It is the best equipped property that we have stayed in, with everything to hand that you could wish for. Whenever we had any small queries or issues they were dealt with very promptly and efficiently to make our stay practically perfect. The dogs enjoyed the secure garden and the family really enjoyed the huge hot tub and went in every day, with the grown ups really appreciating the luxurious bathrobes. The barbecue hut was magical for the children with the fairy lights and loads of cushions and throws, another well thought out addition and used twice during our stay. The games room was good fun for all and the access to the arboretum was an added bonus for the children and dogs to run around in. All in all a wonderful stay at a wonderful barn and an especially wonderful host, thank you Samantha.
