PERFECT in every way!

! We have just had the most wonderful and relaxing week at Driftwood and can’t wait to come back again…..everything is just so lovely……the decor, the very comfy beds, the beautiful views through the trees over to the rolling hills and to the sea, the peace and quiet and the best bit, having access to your very own beach and being able to wave to the trains and even getting the occasional toot!!

Great location, only a short walk into Dawlish but a bit of a hilly walk back up to the property.

The house is beautiful and had everything needed for our stay however we didn't get along with the bed. Mattress was too soft and as it was a wooden frame every movement resulted in a creak. The dishwasher had not been emptied for our arrival and it would be helpful to add some bins in the bathrooms/ toilet. Only small issues but as it costs over £200 a night I was a little disappointed.

We arrived at Driftwood, finding the house, locating keys and entering the gated community was easy with the codes supplied prior to our arrival.

On entering, the house was extremely warm which was easily rectified by the front and rear door open, there was a lovely breeze throughout. The same with the windows upstairs in the bedrooms. The house was exactly as described, clean and presented well throughout. The weather was fabulous for our 4 day stay. We found Dawlish, a short walk away, a bit run down with everything closed by 8pm in the middle of Summer which was a bit of a disappointment but we explored the areas around and ventured further afield to beautiful Dartmouth via the Steam Train and Ferry which was really enjoyable. We had a very comfortable stay in Driftwood and would book the house again if visiting the area as it was a great base with parking to explore the surrounding areas.

The accommodation is very high standard but the same cannot be said for the cleanliness dust cobwebs everywhere outside there are weeds & general debris everywhere Also the house is very warm & not all doors & windows open apparently patio doors are to be used just as windows as there are no keys according to the owner.

I must say this is unusual for Sykes

Left a note to inform that one of the vertical blinds at the front wasn’t operational and the spring loaded drain plug in the rear bathroom was closed and wouldn’t open.

Would benefit from having an outside dining/seating facility and fans got extreme hot weather.

Beautiful accommodation, very clean and well equipped with everything you might need.

It is ideally located to visit local area - 15 minute walk to Dawlish beautiful train journey to Torquay and Paignton and a bus stop right outside. Will definitely return

Overall we enjoyed our stay in Driftwood.

It was just the sort of place we were looking for, modern and stylish. It was slightly let down by the fact that, for example although there were plenty of plates - large and small - there were only four dishes. This meant that, although we were encouraged to use the dishwasher when it was full, it was necessary to wash up the dishes by hand so that we could use them for breakfast. I know it is only a small niggle, it did seem to us to be a bit of an oversight. Thank you, nevertheless, for an enjoyable stay.

Absolutely beautiful house.

Modern, well equipped, really comfortable beds, light and airy.

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

Only niggle is the hot water tap which is set at a temperature insufficient to make a good cup of tea. I would bring a kettle if I was to stay here again.

Sleek, contemporary and spotlessly clean.

Everything we needed for comfort and enjoyment. A safe gated community within easy reach of local transport and a lovely scenic coastal walk down to Dawlish centre. Would definitely return.

It said close to amenities but we had to use the car to get everywhere

Fabulous property.

Very comfortable, well equiped and elegantly appointed. Extremely clean and well decorated. Only buts and they are small is that there were no toilet roll holders, no hooks for towels which wouldn't all fit on the rails and house was very hot particuarly at night .

A lovely, well appointed, stylish and comfortable home that had everything that we needed for our holiday in Devon.

Amazing house.

Only problem was master bedroom door. We had a call on 24.05 mid afternoon… on our way there… to say don’t close it, that it was broken, and that it would be fixed on Monday 26.05. The person never came to fix it? We had no other calls about it? If closed the door wouldn’t open from the inside. I had to spend the whole week with something wedged in the door to prevent it closing. Affected my sleep.. with light coming in every morning. It also could have been a fire hazard. Apart from that we had an amazing week. We have already reserved our next stay at the same property. Only hope the door is fixed by then. David Farmer

Such a wonderful stay at Driftwood.

In such a great area with easy access to visit areas around. Perfect stay for a week away. Very relaxing, comfortable and even though close to the road could hardly hear any traffic. Easy walking distance to Dawlish. Comfortable and lovely modern decor. Hopefully will be back in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The property is lovely we would definitely will return and recommend to friends, it was home from home and very well appointed.

Lovely house well situated between Dawlish and Teignmouth.

Well presented with all amenities one might need. Easy to walk to Dawlish (1.1 mile) or along the coastal path to Teignmouth (2.2m). There is some traffic noise from the nearby main road, noticeable at night with bedroom windows open, but this does not and should not spoil a lovely place to stay.

Best holiday home we've ever stayed in!

The house is extremely modern and has everything you need. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable and furnished to high standards. Welcome pack was a treat too - yummy cookies, milk and fresh flowers. I usually pack tinfoil etc but there was no need, as it was supplied. The guest information folder was extremely handy too. Lots of necessary information listed. The house was in an excellent location. We took many trips out but you can easily walk into Dawlish. We will definitely be returning.
