  • “We just had the most wonderful holiday at Little Evanses It was a perfect countryside location with beautiful views and walks in to Dalwood village where there is a little shop and a great pub.”

Easy drive to all the lovely beaches. Owners were so friendly and helpful too. We really hope to go back there again one day.

The property

This detached timber-clad cottage is located on the owners’ four acre smallholding on a hill in Dalwood.

Converted from a barn, it is comfortable accommodation for families or adults.

The kitchen is smartly fitted in beech and stainless steel, and comes with a dining area for enjoying meals.

The sitting room is light and airy with huge glass doors leading to a balustrade for a magnificent view over the surrounding hills.

You can choose from a handy family bedroom downstairs or the pretty double which you will find in the eaves up the steep narrow stairs, together with its en suite bathroom with central romantic slipper bath.

The garden is a peaceful place to relax, with lawn, furniture and a barbecue for alfresco meals.

Steps lead you up through a gate to a deck where you can absorb those wonderful country views.

Wander down the easy footpath through fields into the village to browse in the village shop, eat at the good pub or visit the vineyard.

This is a conservation area with lots of footpaths, so it’s great walking country in the Blackdown Hills or along the coast around Lyme Regis, Seaton, Beer or Sidmouth.

With golf, riding and fishing nearby, there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activity.

Axminster and Honiton are both interesting towns to explore, Little Evanses is a splendid base for simply enjoying the views or touring Devon, Dorset and Somerset.
