2 Lee Court

Our second stay at this apartment this year.

It is very well furnished with some lovely ornaments (quite unusual in a holiday home) The view from the front windows is stunning. There is always something happening on the river to look at or across to the other side where the steam trains run. Our stay was made even better by good weather and the lift being fully functional in time to load the car. We would love to return.

This is a well equipped and comfortable flat, in a great location.

Spotlessly clean. We appreciated the thoughtful touches by the owner, hand soap in all the sinks, toilet rolls, tea towels, dish cloth, kitchen towel, large bath and hand towels in the bathrooms, including floor towels. Even books. The flat is very light, lots of windows overlooking the Dart, with beautiful views, we visited during the heatwave, and was fortunate to have brought a fan from home as despite sea breezes and drawing the curtains during the day when out the flat was warm. Marks and Spencer’s food is about 50 yards away and there are lots of good restaurants and pubs. Can recommend booking as they get very busy. We parked in the Mayors car park using the free pass as the garage is small and would have been too tight. This was very convenient. The office is close by and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Only negative was that I received an email the day before leaving outlining checkout instructions regarding the flat but I don’t check my emails every day and so missed it. Would have preferred to have been told when picking up the keys. We had a lovely holiday and would recommend Lee Court it is an excellent flat, well furnished and extremely comfortable. Can see why they have a lot of repeat visitors.

The accomodation was excellent very spacious clean and tidy.

The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need. The views from the longe and main bedroom are stunning. Excellent location for all amenities.

A lovely spacious apartment with amazing views of the river and steam train on the far bank.

The owners have provided everything needed for self catering although it is close to restaurants and an excellent corner shop M&S. The only thing to make it perfect would be having the lift operational- possibly in the next month. Walking along the riverside is easy and on the flat to shops and ferries.

This was an exceptional property and we had an amazing stay.

The property is really comfortable and spacious with amazing views. We really appreciated the range and quantity of kitchen equipment and crockery and the little touches like a tea towel, washing up liquid, dish brush, and soap in all bathrooms - which made such a difference on a short stay. The only negatives really were the fridge door which was hard to open as the front panel would not stay attached and this was a little annoying, and a light not working in one bedroom but these didn’t detract from our stay. Not the owners fault but the saddest thing for us was the out of order lift as with an elderly parent with us (90) it was one of the reasons for choosing the property and really impacted on his ability to get out and about during the week as the stairs were a challenge for him. Fortunately the amazing views from the lounge made up for this.

We had a fantastic week at 2 Lee Court.

The apartment is spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is bright and fresh (though we didn't really use it for any cooking, just making tea and coffee because there are plenty of good restaurants nearby) The views from the dual aspect windows in the living room and the windows in the main bedroom are spectacular. From wherever you sit you can look out at the beautiful river and watch the boats and all the activity. We weren't able to use the allocated garage because our car was too big but the owner provides a parking permit for the car park which is less than a minute walk. There are always plenty of spaces so parking wasn't a problem. If there was one tiny negative, they could do with a shelf or a surface to place your toiletries in the Jack & Jill bathroom. But that's just a minor point in an overall excellent property. There are lots of options on the doorstep for eating out. We can highly recommend Taylors and Rockfish. And it was lovely to have a glass on wine on the sun terrace of the Floating Bridge Inn overlooking the river and watching the comings and goings of the higher ferry. We would not hesitate to recommend 2 Lee Court to anyone looking to visit beautiful Dartmouth.

A fabulous, well equipped spacious all round property in a superb location

River view was amazing, apartment very spacious and well equipped and loved location being next to river and just a few minutes walk to town centre and ferries etc… We were told before we visited the lift was out of action, fortunately the eighty year olds in our group managed, but lift would have been appreciated.

Thank you for providing a parking permit for the nearby public car park, as well as garage space for a medium sized car at apartment. Would have found it helpful to have something about what can be recycled in the apartment. We had a wonderful stay - thank you.

Fantastic, spacious apartment with amazing views, and a oh-so convenient location

We have stayed at 2 Lee Court four times previously and each time we have been delighted with our property.

This time we were rather disappointed due to the following:- When we arrived at the apartment on Tuesday, it was VERY cold - the heating was not on. We immediately visited the agent in Dartmouth and were advised that the owner has remote control of the heating. They phoned the owner and he advised that he had released control and we should now be able to increase the heat. It would not allow us to do this, and as a result we had to sit with our coats on, and blankets around us, all evening. That evening we rang the emergency number for Sykes cottages, three times but no-one returned our call. As my sister has arthritis I do not feel this was acceptable. The next day, after a very cold night, a gentleman from Coastal Cottages attended and managed to set the heating. By the third day the heating was working correctly, however we were all very disappointed with the lack of heating and feel it spoiled our few days away to celebrate my sisters 70th birthday. I do feel that we should receive some recompense for our lack of heating.

WE BOOKED FOR AN EXTRA 2 NIGHTS AND I HAVE RECEIVED AN OVERDUE INVOICE TODAY FOR THESE TWO EXTRA NIGHTS.

WE TRIED TO PAY THE DARTMOUTH AGENT WHEN THIS EXTRA BOOKING WAS MADE AND WAS TOLD YOU WOULD TEXT US AN INVOICE.WE DID NOT RECEIVE THIS SO THIS INVOICE WAS NOT OVERDUE! I HAVE PAID IT TODAY.

The whole reason for booking this apartment was having the service of a lift as my father was awaiting a knee replacement operation.

Unfortunately the lift had broken down and other owners in the block had given their guests 6 weeks notice. As the owners were informed 8+ weeks prior to our arrival. We were informed 2 weeks prior & then Sykes customer service took another week to reply to my questions (which I had to chase for a reply) & sent the reply from a no reply email address - not very helpful Sykes!!! That left us a week before we were due to stay & no chance of finding alternative accommodation for 6 of us. Especially with a provision of a lift. The owner would not offer any compensation for this inconvenience. The dual aspect apartment had beautiful views of the river Dart & that is a feature we all enjoyed. At the time of staying the flat front door was not compliant with Fire Safety regulations as the self closers had been disconnected. This was reported to Coast and Country Cottages, Sykes and the fire safety department at Devon & Somerset fire and rescue service.

Wonderful Place.

Had a bit of problems with the baths. They Seem to leak and We therefore only uset the one in connection to the main bathroom.

Beautifully appointed flat with superb views and very handy for shops and restaurants.

Bed 1 mattress still very uncomfortable.

A welcome pack would be nice, especially for the amount we paid. Just basics really, milk, coffee, soap, few dishwasher tablets.
