  • "Great location, lovely views."

    We had a marvellous time.

  • "The apartment was very comfortable to stay in , we felt at home immediately."

The views from all windows were wonderful so despite the bad weather ,didn’t feel locked away. The beds were comfortable and the bedding of a very good quality. We were surprised that the towels included bath sheets ,these are usually bath towels, much smaller. In all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at York House ,and hope to come back again, despite the 40 stairs !

  • "We absolutely loved staying at this property."

It is in an excellent location with great views in two directions and lots to see. Almost too good to be true. The accommodation was second to none and it 'made' our holiday. Very much hope we can come back sometime.

  • "This is a lovely property in a lovely central spot."

It was beautifully clean with lovely bedding and towels. Absolutely glorious to wake up to the view of the river, from bed! The only thing we didn't find was a pizza wheel! And the only downside was the front bedroom curtains were a little thin in a room so flooded with light. Our stay was all too short and we'd love to stay again. Sykes were so helpful when we contacted them to make a change to our booking.

  • "My new happy place!"

This apartment is spectacular with the most amazing views (worth the 42 stairs every time!), and beautiful, cosy but spacious accommodation. It was immaculately clean and the furniture, beds etc were very comfortable, with nice quality bed linen. The location is fabulous, and we can't wait to return :)

  • "A stunning location with an amazing view."

If it were mine I would rearrange the living room such that the sofa looked out rather than in; similar for the front bedroom where I’d put the bed facing the view. But I’m being picky here.

The quality and great location of the apartment, and the top service levels provided by the Dartmouth office of Coast & Country, made for one of the very best UK breaks that we have ever experienced

  • "Fabulous location, right in the middle of Darmouth, and overlooking the river, with (small) terraces to stand out on."

The property was beautifully firnished, and very well equipped. Has three bedrooms, but it would be a bit of a tight fit for 6 people, and the third bedroom is pretty dark. We raised a couple of maintenance issues with the agents - a loose stair tread, unreliable light switch in the entry hall, and a shower that was too hot and we couldn't persuade it to a cooler setting.

  • "We had a lovely stay with the property being in the middle of Dartmouth and so close to everything with amazing views."

The facilities were very good with a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. A few points to note and it does say in the listing is the number of stairs going up to the apartment is quite a few but we were fine with it. There is a draught from the balcony windows in the bedroom which kept my husband awake at night and the lounge needs another comfortable chairs to make it perfect for 6 people as I of us had to sit on a hard chair. Otherwise a perfect base for a group of 6. Agent process was very smooth also.

  • "Very efficient and friendly key pick up."

Best equipped self catering I have stayed in. All kept in a very good and clean condition. The only downside is the light all night from the street - maybe some blackout blinds? This would keep the heat in better too. The third bedroom was noticeably colder than any other room. Beds are firm.

  • "The property has great views of river, is well equipped and spacious."

Central location easy reach of restaurants etc and circa 100 metres from allocated car park. Although we were here at peak summer and the car park/town was very busy during the day, we did not have a problem parking after 4. I would have rated the property as a 5 but unfortunately I have had to reduce rating due to building work going on in the flat below, which wasn't mentioned in the listing.

The property is a real home from home. The view from (almost) every window is stunning. Watch the hustle and bustle outside, the beautiful ever changing river never grows boring. The flat is very comfortable and has everything you need and more. Highly recommended

Because the location is so great, and with everything going on you felt guilty for relaxing and reading the paper. However we did rebel once or twice and just watched and appreciated the views over the Dart to Kingswear. We were lucky with the weather which always changes everything , but the sunshine made it a fantastic holiday. Publish if you want to
