  • "We had a lovely stay at the Sail Loft."

    Conveniently located to the centre of Dartmouth, no hills to climb. The accommodation was clean and really comfortable, especially the king size bed. Parking was ok, the car park was busy when returning in the middle of the day and had to drive around a few times to get a space but always successful. Would recommend staying here.

  • "Me and my husband and our dog have just returned home from our lovely break."

    We could not find any faults at all. The apartment is so well presented on the computer. The photos are exactly the same. It is very clean every thing you need there and more .We would like to return for a longer break. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE OWNERS IT IS A LOVELY AOARTMENT. Dartmoor is lovely to. You have lots of restuarants pubs M and S just a few steps away.

  • "We are just back home after a lovely stay at 6, The Sail Loft, Dartmouth."

    The apartment was spotless, comfortable, well equipped and location was ideal. We have stayed in Dartmouth many times and have never been disappointed. On reading the previous review, I understand what why the seagulls were mentioned, but it was nesting season and to be honest it was the uncommon warm weather for UK at 27 degrees that made the room stifling, which meant the windows had to be left open overnight. The owners had provided a large fan and I'm sure this would not cause any issues in future, normally, in July weather within the UK as the weather was exceptionally warm. We as always, are sorry to leave Dartmouth after a lovely week.

  • "The property is perfect EXCEPT It is surrounded by seagulls nesting ."

    If you left the windows open at night it was deafening . If you closed the windows it was boiling hot ! We went home on Friday as we couldn’t take it anymore ! I’ve never stayed anywhere where it was so noisy . I think you should warn people .

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.
