Fabulous place and very comfortable.

The view is fantastic. The only negative is the detail about the entrance should be depicted as the stairs are very steep.

The property is in a lovely part of Dartmouth but unfortunately was let down by lack of cleaning by the cleaners .

The topper on the bed in the main bedroom was stained and dirty as were all the pillows ?? Some had no pillow protectors on them and were horrible ? Putting a clean?sheet on a dirty bed isn’t acceptable. Most people would assume the clean ? sheet would mean the bed is clean??? It wasn’t ?? We slept in the other bedroom which wasn’t that comfortable , when we stripped the bed on leaving the quilt had stains on that too ?? Not what l thought the property would be like? Anyone staying with Sykes need to check the bed they are going to sleep on ?? You may be surprised !! The property feels like it needs a thorough clean . Would not stay here again.

This apartment is in a brilliant location with lovely views.

The layout is light and spacious and suited our family of four. The harbour and town centre is within a quick 5-minute walk. Co-op is straight down the steps of Horne Hill opposite. While the steps or hills up - including those up to the flat - are short and steep, they caused no problems at all for us. Parking is manageable with some thought. Because the council's permit rules changed recently, the permit is no longer valid between 10am and 3pm, but we still parked there overnight. If you need an additional hour in the morning, there are plenty of 2-hour bays right outside the car park and by the Quay (restrictions 9am–6pm, so you can park free from 4pm-11am). If you don't mind driving up the narrow Crowthers Hill next to the flat, there is free unrestricted parking at the top and on Jawbone Lane just above it. We could have used the permit for the park and ride but didn't need to. The flat itself is nicely furnished with comfy sofas and beds and a Nespresso machine. Some fresh milk in the welcome pack would have been useful on arrival (+ perhaps coffee pods as a nice touch?) but as the Coop is so easy to get to this was no problem. The back bedroom en-suite has a shower, with a separate toilet located just opposite in the hall. The main bathroom is next to the front bedroom. Both had great showers. The kitchen was relatively well equipped but take your own hand towels, oven gloves, washing-up brushes and washing powder. There is a table-top sized freezer in the hall cupboard for a few items. The info folder was generic to Coast and Country, so more detailed property-specific instructions, e.g for the bins and recycling would be helpful as this wasn't very clear. The property is a great base for exploring. We enjoyed the town, plenty of cafes and a boat trip or walk out to the castle and local coves. Our children loved crabbing at Bayard's Cove. Blackpool Sands was stunning and paddle-boarding hire for £19 for an hour seemed very good value. Dartmouth is a beautiful area, and we found plenty to do within an hour's drive. The lower ferry has reasonable prices if you need to cross the river by car. It was a great place to stay for a week - highly recommeded.
