  • "Denning Cottage was situated in the Town centre and easy access to all amenities."

    Close to Dartmouth Estuary and the Marina. Very clean and comfortable. Eight of us shared this property for the music festival and couldn't have been happier. The owner was very accommodating. Would definitely book again.

  • "Great, well thought out accommodation hidden just behind the shops so really easy access to the town and waterfront."

    Everything we needed was provided. Parking pass was provided and we had no trouble finding a parking space on the allocated car park, but suspect in the summer this may be difficult. A lovely place stay and if we need a larger place to stay again we would happily re-book.

  • "Absolutely delightful accommodation, exceeded our expectations, the quality of fittings and furnishings is just lovely."

    It’s a cottage literally in the centre of town, tucked away. So quiet and peaceful it’s hard to believe amenities are on the doorstep! Do visit the little French Crepes restaurant around the corner, booking essential! Another Gem is Andria again booking essential. We will be back!

  • "Denning Cottage has been renovated to a superb standard and has everything needed to ensure a comfortable stay."

    An addition for the uppermost bedrooms would be good quality fans to ensure a good nights sleep. The house was very clean and it was great that a stair gate and high chair were provided upon request. The addition of a cot would have been very useful as would the stair gate being fitted securely. The small courtyard was ideal y to o sit in of an evening, however sometimes it was difficult to hear each other over the cacophony of seagull cries! It was lovely to hear the church bells, a typical ‘English country town’ sound and hadn’t realised we were so close! Overall a lovely property, renovated with love and thought and ideally situated very close to Dartmouth centre and would visit again.

  • "What an amazing cottage … so clean & well equipped."

    I have been coming to Dartmouth 40+ years with my family … this year no different returned with my adult sons & their wives…. Loved this cottage , we didn’t have the views of the river but we were tucked away in a courtyard which was ideal for my furry grandson ( golden retriever) The cottage mixes modern decor with the character stone wall in front room . We will be coming back as it ticks all our boxes ..Thank you

  • "We had a fantastic stay at Denning Cottage."

    There were 6 of us using all 4 bedrooms all of which were well equipped. The beautiful dining table was a central meeting point with tons of laughs. Thanks to Sykes for being so quick in sorting out the problem with the toilet seats. As the cottage sleeps 8 having only 1 parking permit was a problem. I tried to pay for another one but couldn't. I was unable to leave my car in the P&R overnight therefore had to move it every morning and evening. Either another permit or more information on parking would be helpful. All in all I highly recommend Dennings Cottage, the location is so central and the cottage beautifully done. Oh but we couldn't find the cutlery drawer for a couple of hours. :) a hint would help.   • "Had an amazing week at Denning Cottage."

    Excellent accommodation. Lovely and clean and contains everything you need. Only minor issue was the courtyard which wasn’t as secure and private as expected, with a dog this can be an issue and could do with an extra gate.

  • "This was a lovely property."

    Very well and tastefully furnished. very well equipped with all we needed. Very good bathrooms and showers. Lots of nice touches for visitors. ( We struggled to find the access gate so my only suggestion is to improve the location description with addition of photos of entrance gate from street)

  • "Stayed in Denning Cottage for a full week, couldn't fault it in any way."

    The cottage had recently been renovated to a very high standard which matched the quality of the furnishings. Located in the centre of Dartmouth everything was easily accessible, but in a quiet location at the same time. Facilities in the cottage were more than you'd need with plenty cooking utensils and crockery. If we were to visit Dartmouth again, I'd have no hesitation in re-booking Denning Cottage.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes.
