  • "We have stayed at Upper Deck several times now and it never disappoints."

The owners clearly care fir this apartment, it always looks freshly decorated and exceptionally clean, including the outside space. This year we are scaffolding encroaching onto the decking area. This was due to essential work having to be undertaken on the property adjacent to the apartment. The workman were considerate and polite so minimised the inconvenience. Our only negative comment is that we have to bring our own towels and this is unusual, sure the owners have their reasons.

  • "Great property which has been nicely refurbished and is well maintained and clean."

Good location (apart from the hill to get to it!). Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Property perfect and the place was amazing how ever Sykes try to charge you extra after your holiday I’d book direct with the owners

We are so pleased to read you enjoyed your stay however we are confused with your comments of us trying to charge you more after your holiday. We would like to speak to you further about this as this is not something we do. We hope to see you in Dartmouth again, with kind regards Owner experience team on behalf of the Property Owner

  • "Beautifully holiday apartment, tastefully furnished & comfortable too."

Both inside and outside of the property look well maintained and cared for. Good location & the car park pass means we can leave the car and forget about it, as we enjoy walking for us this is a bonus. Only a very wee negative comment, we would have liked a hook in bathroom to hang up dressing gown etc whilst taking a shower & it seemed a little odd that towels weren't provided. It is our second stay & we are hoping to return again in 2024. Thanks to all concerned.

Thank you Kate for the fabulous feedback. Noted about the hook for bathroom door. Look forward to having you back next year. Kind regards Nicky. Property Owner

  • "Loved the property."

Very comfortable and well maintained and equipped. Will certainly stay again. The only very minor point is that we had to bring our own towels - the first time staying anywhere in at least the last 30 years!!

  • "The Upper Deck is a wonderful property located in the centre of the town, just a short walk to all the shops, tearooms & restaurants of Dartmouth."

The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Dartmouth and the surrounding area is beautiful with lots to see and do. We would highly recommend the Upper Deck, although maybe not to anyone with mobility problems as it is situated on a fairly steep hill, as is most of Dartmouth which actually just makes it even more picturesque.

Dartmouth is a beautiful town with plenty to see & do it has some wonderful restaurants & shops we would not hesitate staying again.

  • "The Upper deck was beautiful it was soo clean and well equipped, we enjoyed our stay and will be booking today again for next summer."

The only issue ever around Dartmouth is the parking but with the parking permit it makes it so much more stress free. Our daughter who is 15 thought it was amazing . 1 thing I thought was great the landlord at the cherub pub was doing take out beer and wine so we took full advantage lol The current climate which both my wife and I have had to work through without a break this place was the tonic and holiday we needed as a family Dartmouth is just the best Holiday destination.

  • "Great apartment in a fantastic location."

Facilities were good in apartment. Beds were very comfortable. Cons: toilet got blocked on a number of occasions during the stay. The floors were quite dirty when we arrived had not been hoovered. Apart from that was great.

  • "Accommodation would benefit from :- 1."

Shower grab rail to assist getting in and over bath side. 2. Bathroom has only hand towel hook, an additional hook to door for bath towel hanging would be good. 3. Door coat hooks to bedrooms would be useful for hanging/ drying bath towels etc. 4. Instructions on how to operate TV / satellite controls.

  • "There is just a small thing."

We have stayed here before and picked up keys from the coded key lock at the property. Also towels were supplied previously. I have to say though that the price we paid was less than with the other company. We will definitely return in the future. Thank you

About the location

DARTMOUTH

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.
