From the shared drive, your entrance takes you into the hall, off which is your spacious double en suite bedroom.
Upstairs, you can relax in the sitting room with dining table, or wander out on a sunny day to the balcony, shared with the owners, which has fabulous views over the town and the coast and a table and chairs for eating outside.
A neat kitchen is a well equipped space for preparing meals.
As well as the balcony, you have your own suntrap area to sit within the garden.
The cliff path leads in five minutes to the Coast Path and secluded little rock pool beaches at Boat Cove and Coryton Cove.
Dawlish Warren National Nature Reserve is within walking distance via the seafront or four minutes by train/road.
Wander the half mile footpath down into Dawlish town centre with its range of amenities and the sandy beach, or take to your bikes to cycle the easy Exe Estuary Trail to the cathedral city of Exeter.
For more adventurous cycling, the 3,500 acre Haldon Hills Forest Park is criss-crossed with trails for all abilities, as well as for walkers, perfectly completed by brunch or a luscious slice of cake in the café.
Take the pedestrian ferry from Starcross to Exmouth, with its long beach, or head to the beach and nature reserve at Dawlish Warren.
With Exeter, Torquay and Dartmoor within easy reach, Exe View is a brilliant base for touring Devon with or without a car.

A charming seaside town set on the southern coast. The town of Dawlish offers all of the facilities for day-to-day living including a pleasant variety of shops, restaurants and cafés and a small cinema. Dawlish is famous for its Black Swans that live with other wildfowl on the Dawlish Water that runs through the central town park down to the sea, at night in the summer it is beautifully lit by strings of coloured lights. Dawlish comes with a wonderful, sandy beach with a crazy golf course also nearby, it is the perfect place for a family holiday. Up the coast is Dawlish Warren that can be reached by car or train or, for those energetic types, a walk along the sea wall. Further afield, Dawlish mainline station offers access to Exeter, Exmouth, Torquay, Paignton or even Plymouth, trains are plentiful.
