  • "Short walk to the beach, trains, buses, and local shops."

A property that provides all facilities to a high standard with lots of home comforts. We had a great holiday and would book again as Dawlish is a pretty town. The short river walk as far as St Gregory’s church with a visit to the nearby Museum is very pleasant.

Thank you for the lovely feedback and glad you enjoyed the walk by the Dawlish Water to the church as well as the beaches and shops. We think Dawlish has something to please everyone so we hope you will be back soon. Property Owner

  • "Every possible thing was thought of and the house was perfect for our week away."

Getting a parking space outside the property was difficult but the car park we used was a 2 minute walk and always space there. Only downside for me was height of some of the doors was about 6ft, I'm 6ft 2 but I soon got used to it. Fantastic kitchen and bedrooms. We will return in the future

Thanks for the lovely feedback and sorry about the height of the doors, quite an old property. So glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope you will be back soon. Property Owner

  • "Well equipped house and very clean."

Beds were comfortable and the shower was fabulous, the pressure was more than enough. Back yard is a sun trap and well equipped with table and chairs, along with a parasol if needed.

Many thanks for the lovely feedback, we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay -- and the shower. Hope you will be able to come again. Property Owner

  • "Great property."

Ideally located for public transport and access to the beach and local amenities. My only suggestion for improvement would be new mattresses as the current ones are quite pitted. I would still have not hesitation in booking again or recommending to others to stay here. It is the cleanest and most well equipped property we have ever stayed in with Sykes.

Many thanks for your lovely comments we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and found the property clean and well equipped. The mattresses were new this year however we recognise that the pillow top is not to everyone's taste so we will consider alternatives when we replace these mattresses. Property Owner

  • "The Yellow House, is an amazing cottage for the family."

We stayed for 7 nights, using the cottage as our base to travel around the area and see family and friends. The kids enjoyed the house and it's closeness to the strand in Dawlish, and the beach where they spent a few mornings in the sea. The town and the general location only help raise up the experience with the Yellow House.

Thank you for the lovely comments; glad you had such a good time enjoying Dawlish and the surrounding area. Property Owner

  • "Great location."

Very clean. Travelled with baby and young child, house was great. Small improvements could be a stair gate available for top of stairs, given the layout. Also a washing machine would be useful and plenty of space in the kitchen to accommodate it. House was very well equipped. Parking is on the road but that's the price for such a central house. We generally found a spot close by. Aside from that, all good. I would recommend

Many thanks for your feedback. We will supply a stair gate in the near future and will see whether a washing machine can be fitted. Property Owner

To complete the ground floor, there is a well-equipped kitchen with a handy dishwasher, where you can prepare a picnic to take to the beach, a meal to eat in the dining room or rustle up a favourable buffet to take outside and embrace some alfresco dining in the enclosed sun trap courtyard, whilst you enjoy the last of the evening sun.

Moving upstairs, there is a bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower, so choose to take a long soak or get a quick shower to wash those sandy feet after a day at the beach, before relaxing in the armchair on the landing with a selection of books for some quiet time.
