  • "Amazing location, amazing views, amazing lodge."

Clean, well equipped. Being over picky the outside furniture is tired and needs replacing.

  • "Amazing lodge!"

Beautiful views! Beds were really comfy. The lodge had everything you would need. Loved the little welcome pack as I'm not organised and didn't think about washing up! My son even made a friend - a duck that visited us every night! Would highly recommend to all my family and friends.

It sounds like you had a fantastic holiday at 10 Faraway Fields Kirsty and your son had great fun! Thank you so much for your recommend, we hope that your family will be back to see us again before you know it! Sally, Guest Services, Charteroak Property Owner

  • "The company contacted us to let us know the hot tub in our lodge was broken, but moved us to another lodge so that we could fully enjoy our stay."

They were so helpful and wanting for the stay to be enjoyed. The lodge was beautiful. We (my partner and two small children) all loved it. Only suggestion would be to let guests know to bring plastic glasses for outside/the hot tub, a mat for the back door for when you come in from the tub and a pair of scissors in the cutlery drawer!! :-) still a 10/10 experience, just thought the above feedback could be useful!

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding after your change of lodge Hayley. I am absolutely delighted to hear that you had such a lovely time in your replacement property, thank you so much also for your suggestions, which I have passed to our housekeeping team. I hope you will come back and stay with us again very soon! Sally, Guest Services, Charteroak Property Owner

  • "The lodge was fantastic and couldn’t fault it apart from the water pressure which sounds quite minor but took its toll through the stay."

The lodge has great fittings and many kitchen utensils you would need. The water pressure from the showers was so weak, especially the en-suite, meant that the showers were cold as there wasn’t much water to cover you and my wife couldn’t rinse out conditioner from her long hair so would have to do it from the taps in the sink which wasn’t ideal. If the water pressure was sorted it would have got 5 out of 5! It was slightly annoying as we had seen previous reviews stating the same with a response saying the maintenance team will take care of it and it is clearly an ongoing issue still that needs resolving.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your thoughts after your stay at 10 Faraway Fields, Adam. I am so very sorry that you found the water pressure in the lodge to be sub-standard and to hear how much it impacted on the quality of your holiday. Our gas engineer has now visited the lodge and resolved the problem with the pressure, I can only apologise most sincerely that this was not done prior to your stay with us. I hope you will come back and visit us again to experience the difference. Sally, Guest Services, Charteroak Property Owner

  • "We loved our time at 10 Faraway Fields, the lodge was well equipped with everything we needed, the beds were also comfortable."

The only thing that I could say needed improving was the water pressure, it was so poor that couldn’t clear the soapy water from the bottom of the shower which made it extremely slippery. A minor irritation but would definitely book this lodge again.

I am delighted you loved your stay with us at 10 Faraway Fields, Lea. Thank you so much for leaving us your feedback regarding the water pressure in the lodge, I will pass your comment to our Maintenance Manager to look into. It's wonderful to learn that you would return to stay with us again in the future, hurry back! Sally, Guest Services, Charteroak Property Owner

  • "The water pressure needs to be sorted as a bit too weak for shower and bathes, but we made do."

I think a benefit would be to have charging points for cars and to charge a small cost, will be something I will be looking for when booking a place. Cornwall's charging points are sporadic and very expensive.

Thank you for your feedback Lee, we really appreciate you leaving us your thoughts. I'm sorry that you had an issue with the water pressure during your stay. Your comments have been passed to our maintenance team, so that the problem can be rectified. Thank you also for your observation with regards to electric charging points for vehicles. This is a project which we are in the process of investigating and we hope that it will be instigated in the very near future. We hope you will return to visit us again soon at Southern Halt or at our sister site Stonerush Lakes. Sally, Guest Services, Charteroak Property Owner
