  • "The listing wasn’t clear on whether there was a car charger or not."

We have an electric car and thought great there’s a charger in the photos, however on arrival it didn’t work so this would be a great thing to get fixed and make clear on the listings that there is one. Luckily the staff sent us to a lodge that was empty to use that charger. However everything else was great! The lodge is lovely and comfortable! The wifi wasn’t great on main tv but I’m sure that’s because of the area it is in so we used our personal hotspot. I would definitely recommend this stay, it is one of the most reasonable prices and nicest places I have stayed in Cornwall. The lodge itself feels lovely and clean and any issues we had were sorted fast.

Thanks so much for the feedback Abigail. I can confirm there is an EV charger at this lodge, and we are glad your issue was resolved quickly. We are so happy you had a wonderful holiday and that you would recommend the stay! We hope you would come and stay with us again. Kind regards, Gemma - Charteroak Guest Services Property Owner

  • "Wow! We stayed at meadow retreat for two nights, and we were blown away by the lodge."

It was so clean, fantastic size, plenty of crockery, glassware etc, beds were comfortable. The hot tub was in perfect condition and you could look out to gorgeous views and it was so quiet there! My only negative feedback was that the electric car charging wasn't working HOWEVER tracey and a maintenance man (didnt catch his name unfortunately) were quick to respond and sorted the issue within the hour! We were so impressed as we thought we would be forgotten about but we weren't! So thankyou! 100% would recommend.

Thank you so much for your incredible feedback Georgia, I am so, so happy that you loved your stay with us at 23 Meadow Retreat and that your issue with the EV charger was sorted quickly. Thank you also for your recommendation , we really appreciate it. I hope that we will be able to welcome you back to see us again in the very near future! • "The instructions to gain entrance to the site and the property were simple and easy to follow."

There was a welcome box with some helpful bits (binbags, washing up liquid, sponge etc) inside which was a nice touch. A lovely spacious cottage with plenty of space to retreat and relax. The bed in the master bedroom felt a little too soft although a good night's sleep was still had. The showers seemed tempermental, the water was either freezing cold or scaldingg hot. This may have been due to the showers in different bathrooms being used at the same time and low water pressure. All in all an enjoyable short break away, thank you.

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback Ashleigh. We are so pleased that you had an incredible time and were able to relax at 23 Meadow Retreat. Thank you also for letting us know your thoughts on the bed and shower. These will be looked into for future guests. We hope to be able to welcome you back in the future.
