• "This is a fabulous property."

  Its location is perfect for immersing yourself in the charm of Looe. It is very comfortable and very nicely decorated and furnished. There were a couple of things which need addressing for future guests. There was a bulb out in the kitchen area, and a bedside lamp that was not working. We raised this with the caretaker, so it should be fixed. The coffee tables are very unstable and unusable. The lighting in the lounge area is very poor, and made it difficult to read. It could benefit from additional lighting in this area. Just a floor lamp would suffice. Otherwise, we found the property convenient, comfortable, clean and quiet. The on-site guest info was also very useful

• "The initial impression on turning into the lead up to the property was very disappinting."

  The lane was full of seagull feathers and poo. The gate, windows and entrance to the property were dismal (dirty). The level of cleanliness inside the flat was not of the expected standard: dirty drawers, sand on seats, sticky surfaces. The facilities and location were otherwise ok, I just think the level of cleanlines, especially initial approach/downstairs entrance certainly need improvement.

In relation to the lane leading to the property, unfortunately the cleanliness and upkeep of this area are outside of our control, as responsibility for maintaining the public roadway rests with the local council. We do, however, appreciate that this may have affected your initial impression on arrival. We were also disappointed to read your comments regarding the cleanliness of the property itself. The issues you have described are very much out of character, as the property regularly receives positive feedback from guests regarding its cleanliness and overall presentation. While this does not diminish your experience, it is certainly not the standard we aim to provide. Had these concerns been raised during your stay, we would have been more than happy to assist and arrange for any issues to be addressed promptly, giving us the opportunity to put things right and ensure you were able to enjoy the remainder of your holiday in comfort. • "This property was amazing."

  Brilliant location and so well set up. I have already recommended it to my parents. I would certainly come and again and book this apartment. It had everything we needed and we felt right at home there. (Only minor comment was about where we put the rubbish - I still wasn't sure if I was meant to leave it in the cupboard on bin day or put it out on the street. Maybe this needs some clarity, but certainly not an issue) Feel free to edit this last comment out before posting publicly.

• "Wow… What an amazing apartment!"

  With no exaggeration Beach Retreat was perfect in every way! The location next to the harbour and beach and easy access into the town is ideal. The apartment was extremely clean, tidy and comfortable. The overall feeling was one of luxury with the spacious, comfortable lounge and fabulous bathroom. All in all a fantastic experience, and one we would highly recommend. Well done, and thank you - we’ll definitely be back!

• "We had a wonderful weeks stay at Beach Retreat."

  The accommodation was perfect for us. We were a family of 3 adults and there was plenty of space for us all. We had a lovely surprise on arrival of a very tasty cream tea left for us, and some milk to make a well needed cup of tea after a long drive. The accommodation was very comfortable. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of storage. We loved the bathroom, very spacious and a lovely powerful rain shower - and a lovely bonus of under floor heating. There was plenty of seating in the lounge area, a comfy sofa with extra seating at the dining table and breakfast bar. The kitchen was very well equipped, with everything we needed. The apartment was very cosy with heating set on a timer, which was adequate for the weather we had, but there is an additional electric fire in the lounge if needed. We would not hesitate to stay again and to recommend to others. A wonderful stay. Thank you. The only tiny thing we would mention is that there was no fan, and we are a family that use a fan regularly.

• "Great modern property."

  Centrally located near the quayside. Very clean. Lovely welcome gift in the fridge on arrival. The nearby Indian restaurant was very good, along with Sarah’s Pasties and I would strongly recommend a visit to the Grog and Ale bar. All of the above are within a minute walk of the accommodation.
