"Had a fantastic time thank you"

"We got in touch with you reporting that on the day we arrived there was rubbish every where , in the back garden , in the shed which we had to take out as it was full of flys and maggots , we reported this to you and had to re bag all the rubbish ."
On the Monday we waited in for the recycling truck to turn up and apologise to them as it was not us who had left all the rubbish and recycling . This is really not how you expect a property to look when you arrive .
I am very disappointed to hear about the issues you encountered over rubbish and recycling. I have spoken to our property manager about the issue as we pride ourselves on the cleanliness of the property, which was our family home for twenty five years, and the facilities we provide to our guests. The problem lay with the previous guests who left excessive amounts of rubbish, which the local authority then refused to take. Our property manager dealt with the issue as soon as she was able and we paid a private company to have the waste removed. Having apologised for the problem and advised you how she was going to handle it, our property manager is surprised by the negative review above. She was under the impression that you were satisfied by the solution she provided. Apologies again if there was any misunderstanding. Property Owner

"Good location could walk into Dawlish Warren to beach and train station."
Parking one space behind gates possible 2 spaces on road outside, secure large garden. Large spacious house but unusual layout. We felt it was a bit unloved and needed a deep clean and some maintenance e.g. dinning chair kept coming apart, blinds were fragile, washing line rusty. Downstairs bedroom small and shower very tight, bedside lamp couldnt plug in. Games room could have been really good but hockey pucks missing and no table tennis balls, needed a general tidy. Missed a communal TV with terrestrial free TV the large TV was in the games room where there weren't any chairs. Kitchen was very well equipped and all the appliances were good. We have a good extended family holiday here with lovely weather.
Hi-glad you enjoyed your holiday in our house and appreciated the convenience of the location and the well-equipped kitchen. Sorry to hear you had some issues with the property. We live at a distance so I have checked some of the other points you raised with our local property manager. There is a large communal Freeview ready TV in the upstairs lounge which has plenty of seating, and the pieces for the games can be found in the storage unit in the games room. The property is thoroughly cleaned between visits and the downstairs bedroom is small but characterful owing to it being part of the original house which dates from the 17th century. There are plenty of photos on the website. Thank you Property Owner

"A beautiful cottage."
Plenty of space (and bathrooms) so nobody felt on top of each other. The kitchen was well equipped. The garden was beautiful too. We had a very enjoyable stay and a lovely family Christmas altogether.

"House was exactly as photos/description and was perfect for four siblings and our elderly parents revisiting the area where we holidayed as children."
Close to lots of amenities, shops, pubs and communication/instructions from Sykes were efficient and helpful. Good manuals at the house giving us all the information we needed about the house, appliances and local area. Nice garden space with furniture and cushions, kitchen had everything we needed including extras and we appreciated the goodies left for our arrival. Thank you for letting us stay we hope to return.

DAWLISH WARREN
Dartmoor 13 miles; Exeter 11 miles; Teignmouth 5 miles; Dawlish 2 miles.
A couple of miles north east of the town of Dawlish is Dawlish Warren, a mile-long sand beach at the mouth of the River Exe on the stretch of south Devon coastline known as the English Riviera. Dawlish Warren has a selection of shops selling essentials, a golf course and a 55-acre nature reserve, an area of international importance for wildlife, and a roosting site for huge numbers of wading birds and wildfowl that winter on the estuary. The Nature Reserve is also home to more than 450 species of flowering plants including the rare Warren or Sand Crocus. Guided tours around the Reserve are available in the summer season. The beach at Dawlish Warren is a sandy Blue Flag beach backed by sand dunes and small lakes and stretches for miles to reach the Exe Estuary in one direction and Dawlish town in the other. A safe beach, lifeguarded in summer, provides a perfect place for seaside fun, and has many free, open-air events, children's entertainers and spectacular firework and air displays during the summer season. Dawlish Warren has a railway station on the Exeter to Newton Abbot line, one of the most scenic railway journeys in the country. Nearby there is much to occupy the visitor along the English Riviera coastline including Paignton Zoo, the Dartmouth Steam Railway, the picturesque fishing harbour of Brixham and the long pier and promenade at Teignmouth.
