A cosy, clean, and well presented cottage.

With everything one could possibly need. There was even a decent frying pan. Which is almost as rare as rocking horse poo! Two miles down the road is a petrol station and a local shop. There is also The Old Wainhouse Inn which does meals after 5pm. Plus a Sunday carvery. The meal we had was acceptable but wouldn't qualify for a Michelin star.

A lovely property on the owners farm, Judith and John were so welcoming and the cornish cream tea waiting for us inside was such a great start to our stay.

The cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday with our two children.

We had a wonderful stay at Shepherds Rest and really enjoyed our time there.

The location is beautiful and peaceful, and the house itself was lovely, comfortable and very well looked after. Everything was clean, welcoming and thoughtfully prepared, which made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The surroundings were also fantastic and made it a great place to relax and get away from the usual routine. The owners were absolutely lovely. Friendly, welcoming and very helpful, which made the whole experience even better. We would definitely recommend Shepherds Rest to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would happily come back again.
