Lovely stay at the cosy Jasmine cottage.

Really nice to go somewhere where towels and basic like hand soap/washing up liquid are supplied. The only thing that would make it better is curtains at the bedroom window as the blinds let a lot of light in and bang if you leave the window ajar. We loved the area and enjoyed meals at both local pubs - our favourite was the Old Inn.

It was absolutely lovely.

All the furnishings were comfortable and beautiful, the kitchen was really well equipped and the choices of crockery and utensils etc enhanced the cottage feel. The wood burner was perfect. The nearby walks were idyllic. The guest book was full so I couldn’t leave any comments, I think a new one would be good as some of the comments in there worried me when I arrived but I had no problems with the neighbours or with parking so would rather have not read about that. Such friendly people to talk to around the village and great location for visiting beautiful places. Very warm. Frying pan handle is a bit wobbly and maybe put the oven instructions next to the hob diagram as I couldn’t get it to work but then realised you had to press the manual button ( you did say that in the instruction booklet). I could hear the neighbours music but I think that just comes of being in a terrace. I couldn’t find the black bin outside for my rubbish. I absolutely fell in love with Jasmine Cottage! Thank you so much. I will return.

Cosy, comfortable, clean and a good location for the coast.

Great location and cottage.

As is advertised, comfortable, clean and quaint. The only issues were only one front door key, and the outside front light was not working.

What a lively little cottage .

.... So cozy and in an amazing area for dog walking and beaches ...friendly pubs and cheap beer ... Had a beer in Beer .... My dog loved it too with so many lovely walks along beaches and forest walks . I'd go again

We felt at home the minute we walked into Jasmine Cottage.

We found it spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The log burner would be lovely on a cold evening, but we didn't need it because the cottage is so cosy. The village is quiet, and well placed for sight-seeing. It's worth booking a table for a delicious meal at the New Inn.

It's a lovely house, in a really nice village.

The local people were so friendly. The pub was great, very friendly landlords and locals, we enjoyed the beer garden as the weather was good. The house is presented well and we had everything we needed. It was clean and quiet, very relaxing. The only small issues were there's no privacy in the back garden and the garden furniture is broken, so we weren't able to sit outside. We had to park away from the house as no room near the house, but not a major issue for us, but it may be for some. We had a lovely week and the house is really well situated to visit the many beautiful beaches and places of interest, we especially enjoyed the donkey sanctuary! We would love to return soon.

cottage was comfortable and well equipped ,well located for travelling around .

internally was good,however externally not so good,finding parking space big problem,grass needed cut and garden table broken needs replaced.when arrived general waste bin was full to top and causing bad smell when sitting in garden

Jasmine Cottage is a lovely property and Kilmington residents are very friendly.

Comfy beds, seating and everything we needed from hairdryer to welcome pack. Lovely local walks for us and our Hearing Dogs for Deaf People puppy in training. Great friendly local pub, farm shop and the fabulous Khushi Kitchen for home cooked takeaway Indian food either frozen (or fresh on a Friday). Parking on the street was no problem. Would recommend to friends and family.

Arrived to find a lovely wreath on the door and a christmas tree beautifully lit up very nice welcome.

Settled down for a relaxing holiday. Unfortunately when we went to cook some food for dinner we found the plates, dishes and oven trays not cleaned properly plus bean sauce in microwave, so had to do a load of washing up before we started. After that we had a lovely time in a warm and comfortable cottage in a lovely area with lots of nice walks and a welcoming pub with great food and friendly people just down the road. We really hope to come again to enjoy what the cottage has to offer. Not a problem but so you are aware the bathroom light would not turn off and outdoor front light did not turn on.

Had a great week at Jasmine Cottage, fab base for exploring Devon and Dorset.

The cottage was cosy and clean, and the beds were so comfortable! Everything needed for a relaxing stay is supplied. Had a slight issue with the lamps on the first night but messaged the owner and it was quicky rectified. No parking at the cottage but never had a problem finding a spot a little further on the road. Great pub on the doorstep and the locals are incredibly friendly. Would highly recommend using the maps in the cottage to take in some walks around the village and the surrounding countryside and finish off with a visit to Millers farm shop for a late lunch. We'd definitely return to Kilmington and Jasmine Cottage.

Jasmine Cottage was wonderful, spotlessly clean and absolutely beautiful.

The bedding was fresh and smelled lovely. There was everything we needed in the cottage including a thoughtful hamper with gorgeous cream tea and chocolates. They had even left dog bowls, treats and biscuits in a cupboard which is a lovely thought. It was a bit chilly for the garden but it would be fab on a warmer day. The location is lovely and near some gorgeous interesting places such as Beer Quarry Caves and Lyme Regis. Parking was not an issue. We loved our time here, it was perfect and we will come back!

A comfortable, clean and cosy cottage ideally situated to explore East Devon.

The welcome pack, containing locally produced food, was a lovely touch. We enjoyed circular walks from the door and followed recommendations from friendly villagers to enhance our stay. Couldn't fit it all into a weekend so have booked to return in the spring!

Unfortunately when we arrived at the cottage it had not been cleaned.

Bedding and towels not changed. Although the owner sent in cleaners once notified, it put a dampener on our stay. Cottage pretty enough. Disappointing garden as is diagonally across from back of property. Kitchen window overlooks neighbours garden. Local pub very pretty but disappointing meal.

It's very clean and homely, the beds are comfortable . The welcome pack was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. One of the neighbours told my husband that the cottage was in an awful state but has had a lot of work done to it and you can definitely see that. The pub is a 2 minute walk away which is very friendly and serves very nice food. The cottage is a great place to make your base and explore the surrounding area.

This cottage is lovely.

When we arrived there was a welcome hamper with good quality food, all Tesco's finest, everything to get your holiday off to a good start. The cottage is decorated to a very high standard and extremely comfortable. The owners Kayleigh and Josh have done a wonderful job seeing as it's their first venture into holiday lets . New Inn pub is a 2min walk away, with good food reasonably priced and friendly staff . Would highly recommend this cottage. Thank you Kayleigh and Josh.

What a fantastic stay we had at Jazmine Cottage !

Lovely cosy homely comfortable property. The garden is perfect for a peaceful relax. Nice neighbours ! Ideal location to explore Beautiful surrounding area of East Devon and bordering Dorset coast. Local circular walks a must. Always a parking space to be found, never an issue. A good pub down the lane. This really is one of the best. Excellent value for a quality holiday ! Was a fabulous stay.

Lovely home. Beds comfy. Beautifully clean. Garden lovely and the unexpected BBQ was a bonus. Local farm shop was gorgeous. Lovely neighbours. No issue parking 3 nights out of 4 and then managed to park not too far away. Would have loved an extra tea towel for 4 nights but just bought one. Would absolutely book again.

Top quality bedding, & towels. The village is a beautiful gem everyone was friendly and welcoming loved it.

The property is lovely, we liked it very much.

Only a couple of small things were suggested to them in the visitor's book. The cottage is in a lovely village and we found so many friendly people chatted to us. There are very enjoyable local walks, and it is well situated for exploring the area, with lots to do. I would definitely go again.

Home from home.

A great place to return to at the end of the day. Every need had been met, even down to furry friends. The hamper gift was very welcome. Excellent base for exploring with plenty of places on the doorstep. The Grazing Cow on the way to Honiton is a lovely coffee shop with separate gift shop and small deli section. Worth a stop off. Would definitely return if holidaying in that area again. Thank you for making our holiday.

Beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable.

Generous supply of wood for the log burner and a lovely welcome hamper and milk on arrival. Towels provided are of a high quality and a fabulous size! Only a 15 minute drive to Lyme Regis or Seaton and the lovely Axe Valley Wildlife Park is also very close, as is a fabulous farm shop. Although parking is listed as 'first come, first served', we had no trouble finding a space all week. There are some beautiful walks around Kilmington and we also visited Exeter and the Donkey Sanctuary, neither of which took very long to get to. We would highly recommend Jasmine Cottage and hope to go back sometime soon.

Highly recommended.

This is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. If you want to stay in a cozy cottage, that is well furnished & decorated, this is worth considering. Close to idyllic coastal & inland villages within 5 - 20 miles. A very friendly Pub with friendly Owners, staff & locals. Drink & Food highly recommended. Local shop (Farm Shop) minutes away in car or 10 minutes walking is a place to visit. You can have breakfast, lunch as well as stock up with local produce 10/10. Friendly neighbours either side. With warmer days coming, if not arrived, the garden ideal to sit out & enjoy a cuppa/beverage in a peaceful environment. Negatives, well not for us, but it doesn’t have a bath, the shower is very good. Some of the places we visited, Exeter 25 miles, Seaton 6.5 miles, Lyme Regis 7 miles, Charmouth 7.5 miles, Branscombe 8.5 miles & Beer 8.5 miles away – Google Maps directions. So many others. My wife & I really enjoyed this cottage & village. Our dog also gives it 10/10. Robert

We enjoyed staying at Jasmine Cottage.

The owners have put a lot of thought into making it a comfortable base. It is located in a lovely village which is well positioned for lots of local seaside towns and is surrounded by stunning countryside. The bed linen and towels were of superior quality and much appreciated. There was also a very nice welcome pack of goodies. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom is very small and basic but the shower worked well and was hot. Unfortunately the garden was not dog proof, our little Jack Russell slipped through the picket fence with ease into next door’s garden! The neighbours were very nice but had Guinea pigs which Betsy was anxious to get hold of! Consequently we couldn’t let her in the garden unless on her lead which was a shame. The property did not have any logs or starter pack for the wood burner as advertised. This was disappointing as we had been looking forward to using this especially on a cool wet day. Finally, the property is advertised as having a washing machine but there is no laundry basket, pegs or washing line!

The cottage is well placed for trips around areas of Devon and Dorset.

It is very well equipped with all you could need and the welcome basket is a lovely addition and thoughtful touch. Parking is limited but you can park a few minutes walk away. Its hard to load and unload too as the road is very narrow so perhaps one to keep in mind if you will struggle with a walk carting your stuff. We managed it in a few trips but were certainly grateful it wasnt raining when we did

Mainly well equipped, very comfortable beds and quality linens. Cleaner does a great job. We loved the little welcome hamper and everything supplied for our dog ( quality bowls, treats, towels ) A few niggles : Great shower although the shower area lets it down, a screen would be more efficient than a cubicle. 13.5 tog duvets in summer

The Cottage is lovely, very clean and welcoming with some lovely homely extras.

The village setting is also great and just a few steps from a fab pub which served wonderful homecooked food. The Cottage is advertised as suitable for 4 people but the bed settee in the main living room is only really suitable for 1 or 2 nights max as the mattress is thin and uncomfortable so for me it is more ideal for 3. Unfortunately the property had had a leak so the wall in the single bedroom was damp and flaking. The external repair had taken place but the internal decoration was still to be completed. This was not ideal for us as one of our party suffers from severe Asma and therefore could not use this room. The back garden was enclosed and great for our dog. Prob worth noting you are very close to neighbours. This was not a problem for us but if you are looking for private garden or you have a noisy dog then this would not be fair on the neighbours.

A beautiful cottage and a very comfortable stay in a lovely, quiet village.

Furnished with everything we could need, the welcome basket was a lovely touch. We were staying with our baby and were very impressed with the travel cot and high chair provided. The cottage is located close to lots of great places and attractions. We had a wonderful time and couldn't praise the hosts enough.

Located in a quiet a welcoming environment. Local pub is 2 mins away and very welcoming and friendly. Local to attractions, farm shop and towns. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Enjoyed our second stay at Jasmine cottage despite the weather.

Some good meals and beer at The New Inn, explored the Devon and Dorset coasts in wild and stormy conditions, and best of all, we've adopted a dog from Honiton Greyhound Rescue! Will be back

Enjoyable week at the cottage, lots of work from the owners to give an excellent house and area booklet.

The location is great for visiting all along the Jurassic coast or great to be able to walk from the door staying off roads and you'll get a great welcome from the New Inn Pub with proper pub food. A place id like to return to thank you

Just one little thing, 1 toilet roll is not enough for 4 days and 2 people.

Lovely cottage.

It was in a great position for visiting the coast as well as inland exploring. We did lots of walking. Our dog enjoyed the garden. Well equipped, cosy, comfortable and plenty of hot water. Thankyou for the welcome bits too!

It was in a very quiet location and spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The owner was extremely helpful and literally went the extra mile to supply some batteries for the TV remote. Thank you.

A fabulous stay.

Everything I could have thought of was provided. Perfect for two people to have a comfortable and quiet break. Near plenty of amenities. I was particularly impressed that all suggestions made by previous guests had been acted on. Tip for other guests - take a torch, the lanes are very dark after dusk if walking to the pub!

Other reviews commented that the shower was poor but we had no issues you just need to use the controls correctly.

On arrival there was a welcome pack. Very thoughtful. The cottage was tastefully decorated. You could see that the owner has given this the necessary time and attention. The beds were neatly made with clean sheets. There were also plenty of clean sheets for the sofa bed. Furthermore there were lots of clean and new towels. The kitchen was fully equipped and everything was clean. The owner made a folder with what to do in the area. In short, everything was there to relax in a typical English cottage. We had the most amazing week at Jasmine cottage.

Kayleigh and Josh were incredible hosts and went the extra mile making their guests feel welcome and at home. We were greeted with a very generous welcome pack which had everything you could need to get started from milk, bread, strawberries, butter and delicious brownies! They also went above and beyond for their furry guests and supplied food + water bowls, poo bags and treats for our dog which was so thoughtful. The garden is lovely and perfect for basking in the afternoon sun after a day of exploring - we ate all our meals outside! The cottage is tastefully decorated and really felt like a home away from home. My only advice would be to not do what we did and order food online! The local farm shop (Millers) which is a short drive / walk down the road has everything you need and so much better than shopping at a supermarket. Highly recommend this cottage and could give high enough praise to the hosts!

Beautiful property and very comfortable.

A thoughtful welcome pack was much appreciated. The only thing missing for us was a full size wardrobe. Our clothes became bunched up due to lack if space and hanging height. Otherwise it was perfect.

Owners gone the extra mile to make it feel relaxing and charming, the gardens are also lovely. Plenty to do in the area, Sidmouth etc a short drive away. Would definitely go again.

We found Jasmine Cottage very comfortable and well equipped.

An ideal size for a couple or, like us, a family of three. We appreciated the thoughtful welcome pack of milk, butter and other goodies when we arrived. Parking is on road but we had no problem finding a spot within a few yards of the property. Kilmington is a nice quiet village which is an excellent base for exploring the area. Not on the coast but only a short drive from numerous beautiful beaches and surrounded by rolling countryside. There is an amazing farm shop nearby which sells pretty everything you might need during your stay. Highly recommended.

It is thoughtfully decorated , clean and fresh . The beds and bedding are good quality and the kitchen is well appointed with enough cutlery and crockery . There are nice touches like a small and large cafetière as well as a tea pot . There was a delightful welcome hamper of fresh produce . The village is beautiful.

Especially liked the big, comfy bed and little added extras - the owner has put a lot of thought into making this a perfect holiday home. The location is ideal for exploring both Devon and Dorset coasts and there are some lovely walks around the village too.

Super little cottage in a great location.

Comfortable, clean and welcoming. The only point we’d raise is that the shower was not particularly easy to use, it was quite tricky to arrange the delicate curtain into position, the water pressure was low and the temperature low. Nonetheless we had a great break and used both the friendly village pubs and it was ideally located to visit the local area.

Beautiful cottage in an idyllic village, with plenty of isolated country walks.

The owner had provided a comfort package of local produce and it was greatly appreciated; we visited the local farm shop and bought the same items to bring home with us. The cottage was well stocked and was the perfect home away from home….. only better.

When we arrived it was WOW from all 3 of us.

Beautiful cottage, surroundings & friendly neighbours. Felt very welcome with the surprising little hamper. Our dog was happy too & enjoyed being able to go out in the secure garden. Thank you we had a relaxing few days. Highly recommend.
