  • "Absolutely stunning house best we have stayed in."

Everything provided and beautifully presented.Only 2 little points could not use bedroom with tv in bed as there is a constant buzzing sound seems to come from the bathroom and the cistern constantly running. Also stair gate at the top of the stairs is a trip hazard if you forget about it.Other than that would highly recommend if you like a bit of luxury

  • "Had a wonderful stay at White Rock Court."

The property was very modern, comfortable and spacious. A great base from which to explore the area. Lovely and quiet location being in a cul-de-sac. The children’s playground noise did not bother us at all as it is located to the front of the property, over a hedge and the living area is to the rear of the property. We loved the games room, especially the pool and table tennis. The beach at Goodrington is fabulous and only a five minute car journey away. Very convenient for shops, if you self cater like us. There is a Lidl, Aldi, Asda and Sainsbury’s all located along the main road in. Found lots of places we had not been to before, plenty to do. If I am being super critical there could have been more oven/microwave containers in the kitchen. For the amount of wardrobe space we could have done with more coat hangers. As a couple in our late sixties and early seventies the furniture in the main living area was very low. We got around this by using the two leather armchairs from the bar area. None of these things spoiled our enjoyment though. We had an absolutely fantastic holiday here and looked forward to returning to White Rock Court each day after our adventures. If we return to Devon for future holidays we would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending it to family and friends.

  • "Nice spacious home."

I have a bad back and unfortunately I thought the beds would be boxspring, what I really like, but they weren''t. We have only one serious remarke. At the backside of the house are a lot of windows and the sun is there shining in the afternoon. But there are no curtains of sunscreens and the house becomes very warm.

Thank you for your feedback unfortunately we cannot cater for all ailments in terms of bedding. The mattresses are all relatively new memory foam technology. With regards the bifolds at the back of the house, the bifolds fully open and the reason for them is to allow more light into the house and to be used in the summer for opening and entry into the garden easily. The house is beautiful, we would deffo return , close to everything also for visiting other places, Very big , clean and everything you could possibly want from a property, just the one thing the dryer is still broke, luckily the weather was warn enough to dry the towels and clothes we washed but one will be needed in the winter

Thanks for the positive feedback, a new dryer was ordered and has now been fitted unfortunately not in time for your visit. Please visit again soon, we look forward to having you. Property Owner

  • "Spectacular modern house designer styled for photographic impact - bathrooms totally impractical - no hooks or rails for towels - single taps have to be full flow to get hot water - sinks too shallow."

Main bedroom mattress uncomfortable. Downstairs cloakroom tap difficult to pull up for “on”/- water gushes out at full flow. Only 4 hangers between two people in wardrobes. No bedside lights in main bedroom - no socket on one side - wardrobe lights only accessible from remote (should you sleep with it between you)? Lounge sofa too soft and low - other lay back cushions impractical. Kitchen ill equipped for actual cooking - two slice toaster inadequate for 6 guests. Tumble Dryer STILL NOT WORKING despite earlier reports - it switches on and shows a no. 2 setting but no other choices work nor switch “on” - there is no instruction booklet - assume deliberate so you can’t use it anyway!! Garden - fortunately the window cleaner (who had screwed to lock the store after a storm) happened to come when we arrived otherwise we would not have been able to access the cushions or gas bottle. There are NO emergency contact numbers in case of problems. Sykes phone contact gives a long recorded message which cuts off and leaves no facility to speak to anyone or leave a message. The email contact is slow to respond (no doubt because there are so many frustrated contacts from customers. If they phone you they are very rude and have no concept of customer service. Mainly because of this I will never book a Sykes holiday again.

Thank you for your feedback. The house is a second home of the owners who have tried their best to consider all people's comforts as well as their own, apologies if this didn’t meet your requirements but many if not all the previous guests have enjoyed the house with positive feedback. The main bedroom has controlled dimmer lighting by an electronic handset that controls lighting around the room. The toaster is a 4 slice toaster like most. Hangers get moved around wardrobes within the property there are approximately 30 hangers covering the 3 bedrooms. The dryer is due to be replaced and the user booklet is not available. The kitchen contains a microwave, 4 hobs and a grill and oven. Prestige Emergency number is available for guests and provided to them for Emergencies. We apologise for the service you received from Sykes, we do have a 24-hour phone service which provides on call facilities for when the main lines close, we also have WattsApp so guests can communicate directly, we cannot see that you used this facility. The comment you have made about staff is being taken up directly with their managers. Property Owner

  • "Excellent property, very comfortable and great amenities and very clean!"

Nice secluded spot for chilling out in the garden. Had a lovely relaxed week and very well located for access to Goodrington, Brixham, Torquay and Paignton, all only a short car ride away. Only minor issue is the tumble drier didn't work, I believe the main filter is blocked and not a big issue at all but the master bedroom doesn't have a TV, all other rooms do so would be a nice addition. All in all a fantastic choice and will definitely be back!

  • "Fantastic modern property, a short drive from Brixham, Paignton, Torquay and Dartmouth."

Across the road from supermarket and pub which is also handy. The house is generally modern in style with lots of lovely touches like a bar area, well equipped games room, utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer (although we couldn’t get the tumble dryer to work as there was a fault error) and underfloor heating. The garden is also small but has furniture to utilise in the warmer months. The main bedroom has the open plan walk in bathroom so not for everyone but fine for us. Lots of storage in here and great views over the surrounding fields. Bed was large and comfortable. The 2nd bedroom has a small en-suite and a bed with a built in tv, very cool! The 3rd bedroom (also a double) has a tv and wardrobe. Bedroom 2 & 3 are lacking bedside lamps which we would have found useful. Bedroom 1 also had no tv which we found odd and also no mirror positioned conveniently for doing hair etc. The living room is spacious but we found the sofa uncomfortable. Otherwise, great open plan living for families or groups alike. We noticed the carpets were heavily stained in some areas which could be cleaned easily with a carpet cleaner I’m guessing. Someone else also commented on the dripping noise when rain falls to the front of the house on the canopies. We also experienced this and it is very irritating! We could not get it to stop and unfortunately it rained for most of our 7 night stay

  • "This is a very well equipped modern house with excellent facilities."

It seems almost like a show home when you enter it for the first time. The position is also good, on a very quiet part of a new build development just outside Paignton. Although a little way out from the town centre, it's ideally placed to explore a number of other popular venues in South Devon. The house was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and there is a choice of 5-6 supermarkets within reasonable walking distance! Unfortunately there were a few practical issues with the house which became apparent - - the tumble drier didn't work. This was a problem for a family of four with washing to do and only an airer available for drying. We ended up taking the washing to a launderette to get it dry. We reported the problem early in our stay but unfortunately it wasn't fixed during the two weeks we were there. - The long flush on one of the loos didn't work - The gutter at the front of the property had a leak and dripped onto the porch, and this could be heard in the bedrooms at night - The grass was very long and had some very large weeds growing in it suggesting it had not been cut for some time. We did some weeding while we were there! It was also noticeable that the block paving outside had a lot of weed growth, rather giving the impression of neglect when you first arrive. None of these points should put someone off staying, as it is a lovely and comfortable house with excellent facilities. But a little more attention clearly needs to be given to maintaining the property to make it even better.

Thank you very much for your feedback, and we are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We are very sorry to hear of the issues reported and that they weren't rectified during your stay. We can assure you that these items will be looked into as a matter of urgency. We hope to see you again at the property, and thank you again. Property Owner

  • "We absolutely loved staying here, the property is gorgeous."

I always try and book somewhere just a nice or nicer than home and this property delivered .. The living room sofa is just the comfiest ever, as we’re the beds. Grateful to have the use of a washing machine and iron. The pool table was a major hit with my 2 boys and kept them entertained for hours. 2 tiny niggles, there are no bedside lamps in any of the bedrooms. It’s a struggle to sit at the bar stools as they are quite high and you struggle to fit your legs under, oh and there was no cheese grater

  • "We would love to give feed back on the property, as a family of 5 the size of the property was AMAZING!"

!! It was beautiful everything was there for us and was perfect with shops, beach, towns, park ect... So close. Off road parking right outside the house, bathrooms were lush, the bed in the master room was a bit hard for us but everyone has there own preference, would of loved a TV upstairs in that room aswell. And we would love to see a spa outside that would set it off. And we would love to use that property again if them things was added, only due to the price we would be looking for that next time as a added bonus. We have already told family and friends about it and took loads of pictures for memories. We did have a slight problem with the TVs we thought netflixs was already set up but the issue was sorted same day by the owners and we was very happy on how quick it was sorted and we appreciated the help. I would recommend this property to everyone who wants a peaceful time with the family and it's very kids friendly, our children was safe and that's what we wanted on our holiday, garden was all fenced in, child gate at the bottom of the stairs, could of done with another 1 at the top of the stairs, only due to having 2 small children. Instructions was available in a folder very easy to follow and understand, so our next holiday we will have you in mind and I do hope in future we can re visit again. We can only thank you for making our stay comfortable and safe. Many thanks.

The house is well equipped and has everything you need. Very high tech. The only let down was on arrival to see the front and rear gardens in need of attention. The grass is very long and many weeds. Would recommend this property to friends and perhaps in the future will be back.

Hi Sheila Glad you had a good time we have a gardener now that has cleaned up the weeds and will cut the grass every 2 weeks going forward. Cheers Property Owner
