Higher Norton Barn

The accommodation would be small for four people though it worked well for my husband and I.

There a lovely welcome pack of croissants and eggs, and the owner was very helpful when we struggled with the TV etc.

Everything about our stay was amazing!

The barn is just lovely. The owners had left us hot cross buns, butter, milk, jams, teabags etc. there were even some little dog treats. The whole place is so thoughtfully prepared (even dog towels are provided!). We loved the location (it’s very rural) and our dog loved the use of the field to run around in. The owners are so lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We cannot wait to come back for another visit. Thank you.

Easy enough to find.

Remote and Rural, which is exactly what we wanted. Keys easy to find. Croissants, butter, milk, jams, tea, sugar and dog biscuits, all complimentary in the kitchen was a lovely touch. John is a friendly, approachable man who welcomed us, and made a fuss of our dog Frank. He explained the bins and gave details of local facilities we might like. He also allowed us to use a spare secure field to walk our dog off lead (French bulldog =idiot!), which allowed us to take in the absolutely stunning views! Overall a great place to stay, with all our requirements met. We would definitely stay here again. Caroline, Tom & Frank Parsons x

We had a lovely 5 days at Higher Norton Barn very comfortable,clean and tidy nice walking area for us with our dog,the owner John was very nice and helpful and on call if we needed him ,also had a nice welcoming pack Milk etc all in all a big A+++

We arrive at the site and found that the owners had left a very good range of supplies for us.

Including Milk, Eggs and Croissants. We spoke to Jonathan the owner, who visited, to show us how to use the TV whilst the Satellite system was out of action after recent high winds. Very comfortable accommodation. Nicely located, once you get used to the narrow roads !!

Nice property in the south hams area, close to Dartmouth and Salcombe.

Nearest place for food etc is Kingsbridge. All within about 15min. Would take less but you know how the lanes are in Devon. Owner is very nice and helpful. Property is great, upstairs us particularly good with plenty of space. The bedrooms are quite small but perfectly adequate for our needs along with the shower room. All in all a good property, would definitely stay again.

Higher Norton Barn was a lovely place to stay.

Property was very well-presented and we met the owner on arrival. He was friendly and pleasant. He had left some milk, butter, eggs, tea bags and sugar for arrival as well as some towels and treats for the dog which was a nice touch. Overall the stay was very enjoyable and would recommend.

Very convenient to some beautiful villages and beaches like Blackpool sands, lovely quiet farm location too. Extremely well equipped property, very comfy bed and loved the very thoughtful touches like milk, eggs, jam and pastries left for our arrival! Thank you for making our holiday very enjoyable.

Had an incredibly nice and relaxing stay at Higher Norton Barn.

The owners are lovely people, and Mable the dog is extremely friendly. Not a single fault to be found in the cottage, the welcome pack of eggs, milk, croissants ect was very good. Will definitely return next year.

Lovely little barn cottage in a rural peaceful setting.

Contained everything we could want for our stay and was tastefully furnished. Host popped in to show us how TV worked and to set the heating. They had also left a welcome pack of items. Little garden was ideal for our dog to have early morning and late night wee, but there is a large field for a decent run with him. Only one small criticism, the main bedroom has a glass door to the outside with no key. There is no window to let in fresh air and the room smelled a little musty. The smell diminished once we had heated the room. It would not deter us from returning and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Thank you to our hosts.

Really lovely stay in this beautiful cottage which has all the facilities you would need and the owner was very welcoming and pleasant.

I would say my only few pieces of feedback would be more accuracy on locating the property as sat nav isn’t overly reliable, the track down to the property could do with some trimming back of overgrown hedges and some damp in the main bedroom might need to take a look at.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable, a lovely bolthole away from the busyness of everyday life, but not far away from towns and other facilities. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Had a thoroughly enjoyable week!

The TV did not work,the owner replaced it with another.

No signal in the replacement TV,the only TV we could watch was Limited to BBC I player, ITV X and Netflix for the whole week.

This is a lovely comfortable very well equipped cottage, spotlessly clean & well maintained with comfortable beds & excellent shower.

This is a fabulous high quality stone barn conversion set in lovely countryside.

It is very comfortable, well equipped and everywhere was immaculate. On arrival we found a very thoughtful welcome pack. The owner, a lovely man, came and introduced himself and made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend a stay here. Trudy and David Brown. Stayed 21st to 27th April.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was a very peaceful and relaxing location.

The cottage was lovely, everything was provided that was needed for a comfortable stay plus some very thoughtful extras. The dog friendly field that we were allowed to use was perfect for our two dogs and there was the bonus of fabulous views
