  • "This was a fantastic property."

    It had all modern amenities, well stocked kitchen, abundant space, and was clean and comfortable. The art work was captivating, we think the owner must be a very talented artist. Car parking was a real bonus as we had 2 cars and there was room for more. A stones throw from Dartmouth and easy access to everywhere in South Devon. We will be looking out for it's availability next year, it was a truly amazing find.

  • "This is a truly beautiful property, it is spacious, quiet, and really well kitted out ."

    The decor is lovely and enhanced with colour coordinated curtains, cushions, throws and pictures of high quality. There are blackout blinds to velux windows The decking to the rear is very private. Everything is even nicer than the photos.

  • "Fantastic accommodation, it was our second stay here and hoping to return."

    The property is really lovely, well equipped, extremely clean, with comfortable beds. The site is very peaceful, and the garden areas well maintained. There is also a good childrens playground just opposite, which we used regularly. We also used the tennis courts nearby on site (tennis rackets and balls thoughtfully supplied in the accommodation). The location is really good, in that it's very near Dartmouth, with 2 good supermarkets, Lidl and Sainsburys about 5 minutes drive away. The house is better than the photos; we really couldn't fault anything, which is rare.

  • "An amazing holiday home."

    As 2 excited children said when they saw that there was a TV in their bedroom, " the best holiday house ever". Everything about the house is amazing, including the peaceful location,and access to children's playground and tennis court. Inside, everything has been provided. The kitchen cupboards brimming with utensils etc, tennis racquets and balls, hairdryers, doll's house, even a 1000 piece jigsaw! etc etc. The house was ideal for a multi generation family holiday. Mum and Dad in the sanctuary of the top floor suite. The children, with the TV in their room and plenty of space for Nanna in the huge 3rd bedroom. We cannot fault anything and would love to visit again. Thank you Nick, for a beautiful holiday house.

  • "This stunning house is even better than it looks in the photographs."

    We (my husband, mum, brother and I) stayed for Christmas week, 2025, and had a sensational time. The kitchen is so well stocked with every utensil you could need, so make the most of the fabulous, spacious dining area and enjoy a dinner party. The owners are incredibly kind and thoughtful, even leaving us a turkey-tray and decorating their already beautiful home with a Christmas tree and ornaments. The house is done out to the highest specifications. Each shower is brilliant. Each room has its own thermostat. The beds are incredibly comfy. There’s lots of easy storage space. The views across the parkland and rolling Devonshire Hills are gorgeous. The lounge too is wonderfully comfortable, managing to be spacious, yet cozy. The holiday complex is peaceful and there’s lots of parking. It’s a very easy drive to Dartmouth and Blackpool Sands and there’s so much to explore in this area and you could stay for weeks and not get bored, but you will be relaxed. This is one of the best holiday homes I’ve ever stayed in. It’s filled with love! The owners are more diligent and helpful than Skyes themselves who have an unmanned out-of-hours number, but sadly letting agencies (even supposedly high-class ones like Skyes) lack vigour, but the owners and house mean I’d be delighted to stay here again in a heartbeat.

  • "First impressions…."

    What a lovely spot. Quiet, peaceful and a great place to explore. It was comfortable in all respects, well equipped and homely. Clean and tidy and very well presented. Ideal for couples, and families alike. We would certainly stay again.

  • "A really lovely and spacious property with very good facilities, we had a wonderful, quiet and very relaxing stay."

    One minor niggle, which I would like to point out though. The wifi signal was quite weak on the top floor, and video streaming services kept buffering quite a bit. It was absolutely fine downstairs, so I think the issue is with the wifi range, not the bandwidth. This did not however spoil our holiday and we had a great time, and would love to come back again.

  • "Beautiful holiday cottage, well furnished and equipped."

    Was more than comfortable for our family of 6 with lots of space for everyone. Hillfield is a good location for exploring and only a short drive to local supermarkets and pubs.

  • "Our sixth visit to Hillfield Village and we are so happy we booked 4 Court Terrace."

    We have stayed at some of the smaller properties onsite but now our children are a bit older, the additional space this property offers is just what we were looking for. The utility space was appreciated and well used and the property was equipped with everything we needed, actually a lot more so than other properties we have stayed at. Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the patio and furniture due to the weather but can imagine it to be lovely with the doors open in the summer and having the option to dine al fresco. Beds were super comfortable and the property was quiet. We really hope to be back!

  • "We have stayed at various Hillfield properties but this one is absolutely the best!"

    Beautifully decorated, spacious, well kitted out - there was absolutely everything you could need, from children's toys to a very useful wine chiller! Bedrooms were huge and luxurious, the upper floor was a suite in itself with stunning views. We were a party of 4 but the property could easily have accommodated more. The kitchen had everything you could ask for with a large dining table and access into a private garden with outdoor table and chairs, perfect for outdoor drinks or dinner, especially given that the weather was really hot during our stay. The playground opposite was so close we could watch the children from the window. Its an amazing location and the property could not have been any better on any front. We will be back, I'm sure several times over!

  • "A stunning property with plenty of space for the family."

    The house has everything you would need across 3 floors and large bedrooms. Loved that we could all socialise and sit together in the open plan Lou he and dining, playing games and making memories. Clean and well decorated - a real homely feel. Plenty of parking space behind the property. Close distance to Dartmouth and accessible to the ferry over to Brixham. Would recommend.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town.
