2 The Square

Lovely property.

Only 1 thing, could do with a blind in the shower room as people can see you having a shower. I had to put a bath towel to cover the window over. Otherwise I would definitely stay again.

We have had a lovely stay at no2 The Square at Hope Cove.

A very well equipped cottage in fact one of the best we have stayed in. You name it and it has it! A lovely cosy cottage. I loved being able to hear the sea with the window open. We got used to the towel rail!! And I struggled to open the top window vent in the bathroom but Martin managed it easily. It does have rather steep stairs which I think is mentioned but ok for us. Would we stay again? Definitely yes. We have been visiting Hope Cove for over 20 years and never get bored with it. The dogs love it too as it is very dog friendly with dog friendly beaches. Wonderful cliff walks and very nice eating places a short walk away so no need to drive out in the evenings should you be feeling tired. Sykes were in touch to make sure everything was as it should be and that should we find a problem at all to get in touch and they would sort it out. All in all a lovely holiday. Thank you.

Been to Hope Cove and the South Hams a few times and this cottage was perfectly positioned for our short break.

The cottage is beautiful with a picture perfect thatched roof. Inside our all the facilities you need with a modern kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom is a little cold as the radiator doesn’t heat up the room too well - fine for us. The two bedrooms upstairs are great and the cottage is warm. There is no WiFi and the phone signal is very limited but that meant it was a break from our phones as well. Next time we are down in South Devon we will definitely look to stay here again.

Cleaning not thorough, kitchen cupboards were a mess, frying pan put away greasy.

Otherwise a very charming little cottage with a nice feel. Surprised no WiFi but quite enjoyed it. Beds very comfy.

We had a wonderful holiday at 2HCTS.

Hope Cove is a beautiful gem of a village with just the right amount of buzz and stunning walks and beaches. The cottage is kept immaculately clean. The bed and linen was comfortable warm and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed. The living room is cosy and comfortable. We loved it and felt at home straight away. The only two small frustrations were the lack of internet connection and WiFi. We had to pay for two separate EE accesses for our phones. we were constantly dropping out and signing back in. Not a smooth process. And the bathroom radiator didn’t work well enough to warm the room. It was very cold in there. The shower worked well but the water leaked under the door into the kitchen.

Just a little observation Couldn’t work the oven, instructions would be good No idea when the bins were to be emptied, dates would be useful Internet, I know it didn’t list it on the details but I think in this day and age the property would have it But overall it was a lovely property I.

A beautiful setting

Getting the directions to the property beforehand was a great help as was the convenient key safe, unfortunately, when we arrived there was nowhere to park except several hundreds of metres away.

The background heating was good, except for one of the bedrooms and the towel rail refused all encouragement to warm up until the third day. The neighbours were friendly but we seriously missed the WiFi which was unknowingly absent. Not great but a pleasant place to stay in a lovely village and we eventually found a place for the car near to the property.

We were very impressed on arrival with the location of the cottage,nestled alongside similar looking cottages with just a couple of hundred yards to the seafront.

A lovely comfortable cottage which we wouldn't hesitate to visit again in the lovely Hope Cove which we also thoroughly enjoyed. Perhaps the only slight issue could be the parking in high season as there is no dedicated parking .
