A wonderful property, very clean and comfortable and in the perfect location to enjoy Hope Coves beaches

Fantastic apartment with lovely views over Hope Cove from the balcony.

Only a minutes walk to the beach. We had a wonderful two week here, our second stay at this property. Only negatives were that the master bed wasn't that comfortable and could do with some basic disinfectant cleaner for the kitchen.

Lovely well equipped flat, the cleanest we have EVER stayed in!

Only one house away from the sea and with views of the sea from living room,it is a wonderful place to stay. We had rain cold and wind our week but that's not the owner's fault! ( it DID cheer up on our departing day). Only two things not perfect: The grill doesn't work,does not get hot. The beaches are full of dogs not on leads,with both locals and tourists completely ignoring the signs,I actually witnessed three dogs using the beach as a loo,not picked up. We did not go on the beach again. Shame,we have been coming here since 1993,love it,but the dog problem,just no.

The accommodation is very well equipped, clean and cosy. The local cliff walks were stunning and it is a great spot to explore the area. We would definitely stay again!

A return visitor.

What a lovely place and great view. Close proximity to beach and pubs. What more could you want? Extremely clean and welcoming property. Just a couple of niggles though I’m sure the oven needs updating. It was cooking food unevenly, for example a tray of chips, one side of the tray cooked perfectly whilst the other side the chips were pasty looking and underdone. The second niggle is just my personal preference. I found the bed rather uncomfortable. I’m not sure what it was, perhaps the bedding? Or perhaps a change of mattress as I remember getting great sleep last time. I was either too hot or too cold which left me tossing and turning.

First impressions… Perfectly maintained and high cleanliness standards. The apartment has a fabulous view with a decent sized balcony, housing a small table and a couple of chairs, which makes the ideal place to settle with your favourite beverage after the day’s activities. We were fortunate with the weather, the balcony catches the sun all day. The apartment is on the top of the building, be prepared to climb steps! The views are totally worth it. This property is definitely not suitable for anyone with pushchairs or mobility issues. Many pluses, we are already booked to return. There are two 2 seater sofas, which were very comfortable, A foot stool would certainly add to the comfort. A large dining table/chairs, well equipped kitchen, and a pretty good shower in the on suite. An over bath shower would be a welcome addition in the family bathroom, as we all had to share the on suite shower bathroom. Comfortable beds, although I did find the pillows very firm.(just not my personal preference) Overall we had a problem free relaxing stay, A minor irritation with some workmen at the property below, but I guess work has to be done sometime! A welcome card and bottle of wine was a nice touch.

The accommodation was first class.

We loved everything about it very comfortable beds very clean modern and spacious . The icing on the cake was the fabulous view of the cove and sea. The only downside could be the number of steps to the flat. However I have had a hip and knee replacement , and currently waiting for a further knee replacement and I managed very well the handrails all the way up are very useful. If you are looking for a property near to the centre of the cove this is the one!!

A great property which was well equipped, clean and in a prime ocation close to the beach.

Having a car parking space is really good and the balcony is an e cellent place to sit and watch the world go by. This is our go to property when looking to book somewhere in Hope Cove.

I had requested the apartment was cleaned well as we were disappointed last year with the cleanliness of another apartment in the same block.

No 6 Chichester court was perfect. It was very well cleaned with a modern kitchen - hob, washing machine etc.. the oven was a little confusing to work so we avoided using it. One thing I would mention .. this apartment sleeps 5 .. but the 5th bed wasn't a sofa bed instead it was a small single metal foldable bed with a very thin mattress. This is probably fine if you have young children but my 22 year old couldn’t sleep on it.. if the apartment sleeps 5 then it should have been made clear that this is 5 adults and provide appropriate beds . You might want to bring an inflatable bed just in case! We were also disturbed by building work in the apartment below us - they were replacing their windows and this took all day so we couldn’t stay in the apartment when this was happening as it was too noisy and smelly with fumes. My husband is recovering from recent cancer treatment so this was annoying and exhausting having to stay out of the apartment all day without warning but out of our rental companies control I suppose (no compensation offered for this). I would still go back to this apartment again mainly because it is very clean and well positioned !

Having stayed at various properties in Hope Cove over many years, 6 Chichester Court was without a doubt the best.

The property was absolutely gorgeous beautiful furnished clean bright and very welcoming clear instructions for all appliances great well equipped kitchen stayed for 5 nights but wish it was longer !

Great views and easy parking Disappointed with only 2 toilet rolls for a 5 night stay and no washing machine detergent despite sending 2 messages to Sykes did not get any response !

Perfect proximity to village and beaches. Would highly recommend 6 Chichester Court. There are a lot of steps so this needs to be borne in mind for older or less able visitors. We really enjoyed our holiday and will return to Hope Cove

This is a fabulous apartment not far from the beach which you can see from the balcony.

It is light, spacious and airy with all the facilities and equipment you would wish for. It is on the 2nd floor therefore there are steps to get to it- 33 on the outside and about 7 or 8 inside. We had a lovely holiday in a beautiful part of the country. Thank you

Our 4th year in this lovely flat matched expectations - plenty of space, particularly for a couple wanting a relaxing stay.

Once you have got past the steps (external and internal) this is a lovely apartment, clean, light and spacious and very well equipped.

All the areas are of a good size and having both a bathroom and en-suite was very handy. The balcony, with table and seating for two, had good views into Hope Cove – nice on a sunny day. The electric heating didn’t seem particularly responsive and took some getting used to although the apartment wasn’t cold. The apartment is less than 100m from the Coast Path with good walks in either direction and although the roads into Hope Cove itself are narrow, Salcombe, Dartmouth and Plymouth were all within reasonably easy reach.

A lovely light, cosy flat with views from the living room.

Ideally close to beach & coastal path. Lots of steps up to it but that's clear in all photos. We had some great walks in mixed weather with enough space to relax and watch the weather on Bolt Tail when we weren't out in it. Would definitely stay here again when returning to Hope Cove.

Everything was excellent, comfortable, clean and a nice bottle of wine on arrival.

Great location minute to the sea and pub. We love Hope Cove coming here for 20 years now, always come in August with our family of 8 , will definitely stay at this property again for just the two of us. Couldn’t ask for more. Many thanks.

Great addition of new towels and bed linen since our last visit in June 2023.

Well maintained - a plumber was there replacing a valve when we arrived - and endless hot water throughout the week. The kitchen was clean and very well equipped. Another great week at Chichester Court. The only thing that would make our stay better is a TV in the master bedroom, but otherwise perfect.

We have stayed 3 times now and have loved our stays here.

The apartment is spacious, has a well equipped kitchen and the view from the window and balcony is wonderful. Sadly it will probably be our last stay for the time being as we now have a dog.

Lovely apartment very spacious with everything you need .

Only negative would be that the bedding and towels were in need of replacement . They had been changed from previous guests but they didn’t appear clean . Towels were stained and the bed linen didn’t look clean ! Amazing location very close to the beach and coastal path with stunning views . Lots of places to visit very near by .

Another brilliant week at Chichester court with our daughter and nearly 3 year old grandson.

One minor niggle was the bottom sheet on one of the twin beds was too old - no elasticity - and not deep enough, so every time you turned over in the night, the sheet came with you! Everything else was perfect and we are returning in September. We loved the close proximity of the beach and the 32 steps to the flat kept us fit.

The owners have clearly taken care to make their home welcoming for their guests.

The apartment is well maintained, the beds are comfortable, all the appliances were working and it was very clean. Plus it's in a great location with a pub, shop and eateries within a couple minutes walk and the beach is easily accessible.

Excellent as always this stay being our 3rd year running at 6 Chichester.

Really clean flat great view

We love this apartment and have visited it many times over the years.

It is smart, clean and comfortable. The owners keep improving it in different ways.

One needs to be careful using the hot water during the day if not going to top up but managed ok

Good location, great to be so near the beach.

Winding, at times narrow, road down to Hope Cove but you soon get used to this. Property is spacious, comfortable & very well equipped. We will definitely come back here for a future holiday.

We just had a lovely week in Hope Cove.

The apartment was clean and everything felt and looked new. It was even more spacious than expected and a stone's throw from the beaches and restaurants. Everything was provided and the sea view from the open balcony was lovely. We'd stayed in a house in Hope Cove before which was even closer to the beach, but preferred this apartment. The main bedroom was very spacious with an ensuite and a king size bed, lovely pillows. The second room is a twin room with 2 comfy beds and then a family bathroom with a bath right next to it. Lots of wardrobe space, with shelves too and hangers. There are 32 steps to climb to get to the front door, which was fine for us but elderly people might find this a bit tricky though this is clearly stated in the description and the pictures of the apartment. We visited Bigbury-on-Sea and Brixham as well as Salcombe, all fairly easily accessible from Hope Cove. Overall a very nice stay.

We have stayed at 6 Chichester a couple of times now and it remains as immaculate as ever.

The only criticism is there is no shower in the bath room, only the main bedroom en-suite. A shower attachment in the bathroom also would have been useful with 4 adults getting ready. As a family it wasn’t too bad for us but two couples may have found it difficult. The twin beds were very hard so perhaps think of replacing the mattresses?

This apartment was spacious, comfortable and well equipped with a lovely view over the cove and even better than we had expected from the description.

As it was Christmas time we were in the apartment quite a lot so it was even more appreciated, as as the lovely Xmas tree.

Everything was great other than very cheap , poor quality mattresses on beds .

Low quality duvets , pillows and bedding. We couldn’t get oven to heat up although the grill worked. Rest of flat other than bedding issues was great. Excellent location, nice furnishings ( other than bed) . Please be aware there’s lots of steps to flat but this gives really nice views from terrace.

This was our second stay here and we plan to come again.

The apartment is fully equipped, spotlessly clean very comfortable. As a bonus, the location is superb!

The property was really comfortable with all home comforts, we couldn't fault it.

There was just one thing which needs addressing which was an unattached earth bonding cable under the sink in the main bathroom, otherwise superb.

We have been visiting and staying in Hope Cove for nearly forty years.

We have stayed in many houses and pubs/hotels in that time but 6 Chichester Court has become our favourite self catering accommodation. We first stayed at 6 Chichester Court a couple of years ago and we were surprised and pleased that it was in the same excellent condition for our latest stay. As long as you don’t mind the many steps to the property it has everything you need and plenty of space and comfort for when the weather is not so good. The only problem is that in writing a good review it might make it more difficult to find availability in the future!

Despite the many steps, this apartment was perfect for us, without the steps there would be no view!

Very clean upon arrival and a welcoming bottle of wine - a nice touch would to have the wine chilling in the fridge. The balcony was wonderful as it had the sun for most of the day, and perfect for evening drinks and safe for our 15 month Grandson, who came to visit. A comfortable, well equipped flat, beautifully looked after. We will return!

We have lost count of the times we have stayed at 6 Chichester Court.

It is a brilliant apartment which is clean and comfortable. The owners seem to update something every year! We love it! The views towards the village and the sea are lovely. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The number of steps to climb to reach the flat might put some people off but it has yet to deter us - even at our age! Opening the Velux windows would be easier if a suitable telescopic pole was to be provided.

A perfect family holiday - having little ones meant this apartment was so convenient for going back an d forth to the beach.

Lovely and spacious with beautiful views from a child-safe balcony. The only advice id give parents taking young kids is to take some kind of carpet protection for under the dining table, as it's a pale carpet and thats the only table to eat at inside.

Lovely second floor apartment, just as described with everything you could wish for.

The furnishings were very comfortable, indeed it looked as though it had recently been decorated throughout. There was only one small observation worth mentioning and that was as we were removing the bed linen as requested on our departure we noticed that the mattress and pillow protectors were stained. Perhaps a change of protectors with each change over would be worth considering. We had a super holiday. Thank you.

Hi - communication with yourselves is challenging!

No email and no phone signal in Hope Cove! We had problems with the key safe both at the start and finish of our holiday which was challenging to resolve! We had our car valeted before we went away and on our first day the gardener mowed the lawn without a grass box which covered our car in grass both inside and out…. Not very happy

My husband has to take oxygen so the number of steps was a problem.

I think that is worth mentioning in the description. ALSO THE MASTER BEDROOM MATRESS IS LUMPY AND QUITE UNCOMFORTABLE. The apartment is lovely and location good.

Everything about the flat was very good, excellent location and the facilities and cleanliness were exceptionally good.

The only thing that we had not expected was the number of steps up to the property. As we are able bodied It was not a problem for us but had we had anyone more elderly or infirm it would have been a problem. The steps should be mentioned in the description.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. So handy to the town and beaches and with lovely views.

It was nice to see how clean the apartment was - especially due to the current circumstances - and it was nice to receive a welcome bottle of wine and an explanation regarding the problem with the patio doors.

The location is fantastic bring just a few minutes from the beach and the village itself.

Great to sit out on the balcony with a book and a glass of wine and admire the view of the ocean (and a few roof tops!)

Our only gripe is the amount of time for cleaning - 7 hours - is excessive!

When you have a five hour car journey with kids - you leave early to avoid traffic, not being able to check in until 5pm is a challenge. Please can you reflect upon this as we are returning for a weekend stay in October Many thanks

By far one of the best properties we have stayed in.

An exceptionally clean and comfortable apartment in a fantastic location.

The apartment was superb , very spacious , very clean and well appointed.

We were blessed with great weather , so made full use of the balcony . I had breakfast on the balcony and was happy reading my book in the morning. The only downside for me , was the bed was soft . I suffer with a bad back . The apartment is very close to the Cove and Hope and Anchor , so easy to stroll down at night for a meal and a drink . It was lovely to got out at night and listen to the sea lapping onto the shore. Car parking on site was easy as well Overall , a great apartment and a great holiday.

Superb accommodation and venue.

Weather was perfect which obviously made a difference. Steps up helped to keep us fit.

Impressed over standard of flat/apartment.

Everything one might need was there for use. Very good instructions for appliances which need to be read carefully. Also plenty of literature about the area and walks in the area and a very good WiFi speed.

The flat is excellent and there is always some new improvements each time we visit. It is clean and comfortable. the location is one of the best in the village. There were some minor niggles with equipment this time.

6 Chichester Court is an excellent apartment, very well equipped, a few yards from the shop, post office and pub in Outer Hope and with good sea views from its windows.

This is second time we have stayed. Took friends this time and had great time. No need to drive anywhere else, everything within walking distance. Local eating places very friendly. Hope to go again soon

Incredibly good view and close to the centre of the village. As it is the top floor(just be aware of this for lugging luggage). Well equipped and spacious. Would book again!

A really great apartment, ideal location with lovely views. Very well equipped and comfortable. As it's a top floor apartment, there are several steps, which some may find difficult, but once you've unloaded the luggage it wasn't a problem.

Our flat was very clean,spacious and well equipped.It was also quiet,with a good view and only a short walk from the beach.

A lovely top floor apartment with lovely views of the harbour and village. Everything spotlessly clean and in fact when we arrived someone from Coast and Country was there checking it had been cleaned properly.
