• "A lovely light, cosy flat with views from the living room."

  Ideally close to beach & coastal path. Lots of steps up to it but that's clear in all photos. We had some great walks in mixed weather with enough space to relax and watch the weather on Bolt Tail when we weren't out in it. Would definitely stay here again when returning to Hope Cove.

• "Great addition of new towels and bed linen since our last visit in June 2023."

  Well maintained - a plumber was there replacing a valve when we arrived - and endless hot water throughout the week. The kitchen was clean and very well equipped. Another great week at Chichester Court. The only thing that would make our stay better is a TV in the master bedroom, but otherwise perfect.

• "Lovely apartment very spacious with everything you need ."

  Only negative would be that the bedding and towels were in need of replacement . They had been changed from previous guests but they didn’t appear clean . Towels were stained and the bed linen didn’t look clean ! Amazing location very close to the beach and coastal path with stunning views . Lots of places to visit very near by .

• "Another brilliant week at Chichester court with our daughter and nearly 3 year old grandson."

  One minor niggle was the bottom sheet on one of the twin beds was too old - no elasticity - and not deep enough, so every time you turned over in the night, the sheet came with you! Everything else was perfect and we are returning in September. We loved the close proximity of the beach and the 32 steps to the flat kept us fit.

  The apartment is well maintained, the beds are comfortable, all the appliances were working and it was very clean. Plus it's in a great location with a pub, shop and eateries within a couple minutes walk and the beach is easily accessible.

  One needs to be careful using the hot water during the day if not going to top up but managed ok

  Winding, at times narrow, road down to Hope Cove but you soon get used to this. Property is spacious, comfortable & very well equipped. We will definitely come back here for a future holiday.

• "We just had a lovely week in Hope Cove."

  The apartment was clean and everything felt and looked new. It was even more spacious than expected and a stone's throw from the beaches and restaurants. Everything was provided and the sea view from the open balcony was lovely. We'd stayed in a house in Hope Cove before which was even closer to the beach, but preferred this apartment. The main bedroom was very spacious with an ensuite and a king size bed, lovely pillows. The second room is a twin room with 2 comfy beds and then a family bathroom with a bath right next to it. Lots of wardrobe space, with shelves too and hangers. There are 32 steps to climb to get to the front door, which was fine for us but elderly people might find this a bit tricky though this is clearly stated in the description and the pictures of the apartment. We visited Bigbury-on-Sea and Brixham as well as Salcombe, all fairly easily accessible from Hope Cove. Overall a very nice stay.

• "We have stayed at 6 Chichester a couple of times now and it remains as immaculate as ever."

  The only criticism is there is no shower in the bath room, only the main bedroom en-suite. A shower attachment in the bathroom also would have been useful with 4 adults getting ready. As a family it wasn’t too bad for us but two couples may have found it difficult. The twin beds were very hard so perhaps think of replacing the mattresses?

• "Everything was great other than very cheap , poor quality mattresses on beds ."

  Low quality duvets , pillows and bedding. We couldn’t get oven to heat up although the grill worked. Rest of flat other than bedding issues was great. Excellent location, nice furnishings ( other than bed) . Please be aware there’s lots of steps to flat but this gives really nice views from terrace.

• "We have been visiting and staying in Hope Cove for nearly forty years."

  We have stayed in many houses and pubs/hotels in that time but 6 Chichester Court has become our favourite self catering accommodation. We first stayed at 6 Chichester Court a couple of years ago and we were surprised and pleased that it was in the same excellent condition for our latest stay. As long as you don’t mind the many steps to the property it has everything you need and plenty of space and comfort for when the weather is not so good. The only problem is that in writing a good review it might make it more difficult to find availability in the future!

• "Despite the many steps, this apartment was perfect for us, without the steps there would be no view!"

  Very clean upon arrival and a welcoming bottle of wine - a nice touch would to have the wine chilling in the fridge. The balcony was wonderful as it had the sun for most of the day, and perfect for evening drinks and safe for our 15 month Grandson, who came to visit. A comfortable, well equipped flat, beautifully looked after. We will return!

• "We have lost count of the times we have stayed at 6 Chichester Court."

  It is a brilliant apartment which is clean and comfortable. The owners seem to update something every year! We love it! The views towards the village and the sea are lovely. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The number of steps to climb to reach the flat might put some people off but it has yet to deter us - even at our age! Opening the Velux windows would be easier if a suitable telescopic pole was to be provided.

• "Lovely second floor apartment, just as described with everything you could wish for."

  The furnishings were very comfortable, indeed it looked as though it had recently been decorated throughout. There was only one small observation worth mentioning and that was as we were removing the bed linen as requested on our departure we noticed that the mattress and pillow protectors were stained. Perhaps a change of protectors with each change over would be worth considering. We had a super holiday. Thank you.

• "A perfect family holiday - having little ones meant this apartment was so convenient for going back an d forth to the beach."

  Lovely and spacious with beautiful views from a child-safe balcony. The only advice id give parents taking young kids is to take some kind of carpet protection for under the dining table, as it's a pale carpet and thats the only table to eat at inside.

• "Hi - communication with yourselves is challenging!"

  No email and no phone signal in Hope Cove! We had problems with the key safe both at the start and finish of our holiday which was challenging to resolve! We had our car valeted before we went away and on our first day the gardener mowed the lawn without a grass box which covered our car in grass both inside and out…. Not very happy

We’re sorry to hear that you struggled to get hold of us; whilst we know that the mobile reception can be difficult in Hope Cove, there is Wi-Fi in the property for guests to use for emails or Wi-Fi calls. Unfortunately, your vehicle was not parked in the allocated space for the apartment and was prior to the check in time, when the gardener cuts the grass to avoid disturbing guests arriving in the afternoon. • "Everything about the flat was very good, excellent location and the facilities and cleanliness were exceptionally good."

  The only thing that we had not expected was the number of steps up to the property. As we are able bodied It was not a problem for us but had we had anyone more elderly or infirm it would have been a problem. The steps should be mentioned in the description.

• "The apartment was superb , very spacious , very clean and well appointed."

  We were blessed with great weather , so made full use of the balcony . I had breakfast on the balcony and was happy reading my book in the morning. The only downside for me , was the bed was soft . I suffer with a bad back . The apartment is very close to the Cove and Hope and Anchor , so easy to stroll down at night for a meal and a drink . It was lovely to got out at night and listen to the sea lapping onto the shore. Car parking on site was easy as well Overall , a great apartment and a great holiday.
