Outside, the garden becomes a highlight of the stay, with a patio for al fresco dining, a lawn for stretching out in the sunshine, and for evenings spent under the stars.
The charcoal barbecue invites leisurely meals, while a close by beach ensures that the sea is never far from your plans.
The surrounding area offers plenty to explore, with easy beach access, and good, local eateries right on your doorstep.
Kingsbridge, with its waterside cafés, independent shops, and scenic estuary walks, is a short journey away and ideal for relaxed days out.

Further afield, Dartmouth offers historic streets, riverside views, and a selection of eateries perfect for lingering over local seafood.

A beautifully located garden flat but a few things missing- coffee machine would be greatly appreciated.
Rusty baking trays need to be thrown out and we lost a lot of meat as it froze in the bottom compartments - even though not touching the back of the fridge… quite expensive loss! Mattresses in twin room v v soft but master bed fab. Did not use bunks .

The location is unbeatable — just a short stroll down to the beach and harbour at Hope Cove, with beautiful coastal walks right on the doorstep. As well as being within easy reach of Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Bigbury-on-sea. Waking up to sea views and the sound of gulls made the whole trip feel like a proper escape. The property itself was spotlessly clean from top to bottom, clearly very well looked after. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, and it was obvious a lot of care goes into preparing it for guests. It was well equipped too, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the beds were really comfortable after a day out exploring. Hope Cove itself is a gem — quiet, unspoiled, and full of character, with lovely local pubs and cafes within easy walking distance. Parking was straightforward, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free. We'd happily come back and would recommend Quay Sands to anyone looking for a relaxing seaside getaway in South Devon.
Overall a lovely apartment.
Arrival instructions were clear and the apartment very clean on arrival. Kitchen was well equipped, beds comfortable and lovely crisp bed linen! The only thing that could be made clearer is that the bathroom has a bath with hand held shower wand and does not have an overhead shower, which meant we all ended up using the wet room shower. Also, a mirror above the sink in the bathroom would have been a nice addition. Great location and easy walk on a footpath down to the cove and the beach.
