  • "Very spacious, comfortable accomadation."

Light and airy. Well equipped and perfect for our family of five. In a perfect location for exploring Ilfracombe and surrounding areas. Our host Brenden, was also very welcoming and communicated well from start to finish. Highly recommended

  • "Nice warm home close to shops, beach, walks, etc."

Parking can be tricky as on street parking soon fills up. TV is a bit small for family viewing and although Freeview works, the Apps stopped working after a couple of days - so no live streaming. Cooking facilities were good though fridge needed a clean, bathrooms were ok but bring your own toiletries, beds were comfortable but living room furniture is basic and not so comfortable. We went during Xmas week and sadly no Xmas tree or decorations which would have added a nice touch.

  • "Good location, within walking distance of shops and harbour."

Owner responded quickly to enquiries and was very helpful. Parking could be a bit tricky but always found somewhere nearby to park.

  • "Penryn is a lovely comfortable apartment well equipped and a great location for Ilfracombe."

We enjoyed a lovely relaxing two weeks stay here and would like to return next year if it’s available. Communication with the owner and his son was easy and they made every effort to ensure our stay was comfortable, which was most appreciated as the weather was inclement. They kindly put on the heating to allow us to dry wet clothing. The house is beautifully decorated with some attractive plants and wooden ornaments. Many thanks for enabling us to book this property. Highly recommended.

Very clean and the owners were very nice without being intrusive. Parking in the street was a problem at times but no big deal, overall a great stay.

  • "A very comfortable and well equipped apartment in a central position for the town, the supermarket, and all the interesting sites in Ilfracombe."

No private parking but we didn't ever have a problem parking either outside the house or very nearby. I highly recommend this lovely holiday home.

  • "The accommodation was spacious, occupying the top two floors of a Victorian terrace close to the coast."

The kitchen with large dining table seemed to have been recently fitted out and met all our needs. The communication with the owner and introductory tour of the property was excellent and the owner was very helpful. The entrance is shared with the owner who lives on the ground and lower ground floors, but the apartment has a lockable front door within the building. Parking can be difficult as the road is very central without any parking restrictions. However, we always found parking either in the road where the property is situated or in nearby roads suggested by the owner. We visited outside of school holidays in the 3rd week of September.

  • "The entrance isn't fantastic but ignore that and the flat is fine."

Well equipped, clean and spacious. Needs a light as soon as you go in the main house front door, the switch is a fair way in or a sensor light. Position is good, top of the road you are on the high street or walk along the front to the harbour. A Lidls across the road is convenient. Main issue is the difficulty with on street parking and the turning area at the top of the road. As there is no charge on the road it gets very busy. Owner keeps a space for day of arrival which is helpful but struggled to park some evenings. Not a lot that can be done about this though. An enjoyable stay and good flat

  • "The holiday accommodation was spacious and clean."

The kitchen was well equipped with ample crockery etc. It was lovely to be able to eat in the kitchen together and then relax in the lounge; we really appreciated having the living space separate to the kitchen. Having two bathrooms was also a great plus. The owner of the property was brilliant, phoning us beforehand to touch base about our arrival, calling the day before to check our final plans, happily moving his car so we could unload, chatting when we bumped into him on occasion. Overall, a great experience.

  • "Excellent holiday let - clean, good facilities and fantastic host."

The flat is really close to the tunnels beach and to town. Looking at other feedback we thought parking would be a nightmare but the host kindly moved his car so we could park when we got there, and we managed to get a space on the few occasions we took the car out. Would highly recommend Penryn for anyone looking for a holiday in Ilfracombe.

House is in a good location for Ilfracombe, however parking for the property is not easy, first come first served, but the street is often full and you may have to park in a different street. The apartment was very clean and had all that you needed if you wanted to eat in.

The owner lives underneath with the accommodation having its own entrance on the first floor. The owner is non-intrusive but also helpful and friendly. The 3 bedrooms, living area, kitchen and 2 bathrooms provided plenty of space for our family of 5. WiFi for the kids too! The apartment was exceptionally clean. The kitchen was very well equipped, even including condiments, cleaning materials etc. A washing machine was also handy for a particularly muddy day at an adventure park. We only had to buy food - Lidl is just down the road. Boardgames and plenty of linen was also much appreciated. The location of the apartment is excellent, 5 mins walk from tunnels beaches & 10/15 mins from the beautiful harbour. The Indian restaurant at the end of the road was also very nice. All in all a lovely apartment!
