Fabulous property, inside and out. Great location. We've had a wonderful family holiday.

The property was well appointed with great facilities.

Plenty of space for everyone to relax. Outside space was good although the garden furniture - recliner chairs were extremely dirty so didn’t use them. We had a great stay and would definitely book again.

Fantastic property, which was very comfortable and well equipped.

Plenty of room for the whole family. The hosts were extremely helpful and ensured that we had the perfect stay. The property does sit on a long steep hill, so walking down into Dartmouth was a lovely walk, but coming back up needed a little stamina.

Captains Lodge is a light and spacious property and conveniently located to explore Dartmouth and the surrounding areas.

We were greeted with a beautiful flower arrangement of garden flowers which added to a warm and homely feel. The house literally has 'everything' you need for a comfortable stay, even some unexpected surprises! The owners were really helpful and responded swiftly to any of our questions. You won't be disappointed with Captain's Lodge if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Dartmouth.

Captains lodge exceeded our expectations !

Everything was of a high standard and very comfortable with plenty of space for all. We’ve been coming to Dartmouth for many years and this is by far the best place we’ve stayed . We had our dog with us and did some lovely walks along the coastal path which is easy to access walking from the house and it’s a nice downhill walk to Dartmouth but a bit of a haul back up for the less mobile or fit . Thank you , we had a fabulous week and my grown up children have said they want to join us on holiday again and come back again next year !

Everything at the property was brilliant.

Lovely little touches everywhere, spacious and comfy. Our only issue was no-one informed us before we came about the road closure. We had decided it would be nice to come from Minehead by train, steam train and ferry, however due to 2 of our party not able to walk far, had we known we would have brought a car. It meant taxis for them, which added to the cost of the holiday

The property was first class!

The photos on the website do not do the property justice! For one all of the rooms are so spacious and easily could accomodate 8 persons. Great to have to have two bathrooms one with a bath and both with showers in. The living area is big and spacious and fitted the 6 of us and the dog with ease! Dining area and kitchen is also very spacious with all the utensils you need for cooking and dining. Fantastic decking area also which we used in the sun in October...... very warm abd nice to relax with a glass of wine. Also great for the dog as very enclosed and no chance of escaping. Location was good for me as I walked the dog into Dartmouth every morning - just over 1 mile downhill and obviously uphill coming back but for the non walkers you can park the car on the side of the road by Dartmouth castle to walk in. Very peaceful location and all you can hear is the birds in the morning - perfect. Will definitely be back and thank you so much.

The property was excellent, it was lovely and clean and had everything you needed, the owners were very helpful, we had a very lovely holiday and wouldn't hesitate to recommend, we will definitely go again.

Captains Lodge is situated in a very quiet valley and was easy to find from the directions provided.

It has off road parking for three cars and plenty of space to manoeuvre. The property itself is beautifully furnished with every need considered. A fully fitted and equipped kitchen, dinning and lounge area, that opens onto a private sheltered deck that is fully enclosed. Ideal for a large family group to socialise in. A perfect cottage to enjoy peace and quiet but in easy reach of Dartmouth, Balckpool Sands and beyond.

We LOVED staying at Captain’s Lodge.

It was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable with plenty of room for all of us. It had all the facilities we needed for an enjoyable stay, including amazingly comfy beds - we have never slept so well! The sunny patio with BBQ was great too! It was also within easy reach of the shops and attractions in Dartmouth town centre, as well as Stoke Fleming and the beach at Blackpool Sands. I would definitely stay at Captain’s Lodge again and would certainly recommend it!
