Great place, private, quiet.

Everything we expected and wanted for a relaxing summer break, cannot fault the breathtaking location and surroundings.

Tip - from us "townies from the suburbs" it would be of help for more specific directions to a secluded property. Thanks

The Linney was from it's description a very small property but as touring caravan owners of over 40 years, the size didn't worry us.

Once settled in and discovered all of its hidden facilities it proved to be a beautifully prepared let. Every thing was of the highest quality and very comfortable. The owners who lived close by were always available with plenty of friendly local knowledge. All in, a very pleasant stay.

Lovely relaxing feeling to be in the countryside and in reach of shops beaches and the Local Pub that was enjoyable after trips in the areas for a Great meal and drinks to relax in the pub Garden.

not pet friendly.even tough it says it is, and though there was an info .folder with waste disposal requirements indicating recycling boxes in woodshed,didn’t know where that was until our 6th day.All in all a very dissappointing week,a mistake I do not intend to make again.

Settee and cushions were a little tired but, that apart, cottage is very well appointed and would warrant another visit.

Lovely garden. Well equipped, we wanted for norhing. Good hosts. Littleham is a pretty village with very friendly residents, close to Bideford.

A lovely bolthole for the week.

Clean, compact, it had everything we needed for our stay. Cleaned to a high standard with well stocked kitchen utensils and tastefully decorated. The pub is a 5 min walk, they don't allow dogs inside though. Good doggie beaches at Westwood Ho!, Bideford a short drive away. The hosts were lovely, and the homemade cake yummy!

We had a lovely relaxing holiday and the Linney was the perfect base.

It was so peaceful staying at the Linney and our hosts were great.The pub was just up the road the crealock arms it was just a 10 minute walk and the food and atmosphere was perfect.The Linney was comfortable and so peaceful to relax after a busy day out and about.We would recommend staying at the Linney and if we were ever down there again we would go back.

The Linney is lovely, a comfortable holiday hideaway in a magical location.

Even in January we were nice and warm. Very quiet and peaceful. Very well equipped kitchen. Nice furnishings and well presented. Hosts very welcoming. Would definitely recommend this property for a peaceful break.

A wonderful stay!

This is a fabulous peaceful little cottage. With fresh flowers and homemade cake on arrival you know it going to go well. Everything is thought about, just take yourselves and your food. The one shame, but wasn't an issue for us, is that the pub which is 5 mins walk away is not dog friendly and so we were unable to go there to eat. In summer it will be fine as dogs are welcome outside. Would highly recommend and would love to return to this little haven of peace.

The cottage was lovely, just as advertised and just right for two, with everything we needed, and if we should have wanted anything else, we had only to ask.

It is within easy reach of Bideford and the ferry to Lundy, also to RHS Rosemoor, these being the reasons we chose to visit this part of North Devon. Peter and Vicky are the perfect hosts, so very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely stay at The Linney again.

In the past two years I have stayed in several holiday cottages and most had mixed reviews.

The Linney on the other hand had constant good reviews and I was delighted to see that they were correct. This little haven was comfy and quirky,and filled with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There were several walks locally, and the Tarka trail was accessed from 'Scratchface Lane' near the village hall. Although the lanes are narrow when driving, they aren't too busy. Many thanks to Vicki and Pete who made me and my dog feel very welcome.

We liked the quirky design and presentation of your warm and comfortable property. We were very happy with the convenient car parking space and the quiet, safe location. As a point of information not complaint, we felt that the shower curtain, fridge and TV would benefit from being renewed or upgraded before too long.

Beautifully decorated, very clean and a well-designed barn conversion. Although it was a smaller property, there was plenty of room for two to spread out. Parking right outside the door and a very quiet neighbourhood. Pete and Vicky were lovely hosts and it was a real pleasure to talk to them around the property. They were always available and helpful, but never intrusive. Thank you so much.

When we arrived at the property, we were met by the owner and they explained how things worked and where the bins were.

The property is stunning and even better when you go inside, its ideal for a medium sized dog and ample space and facilities for 2 people. Great set of maps and information to help you with fantastic walks in the area. in all a very pleasant stay and would recommend a visit here

The couple there were so welcoming, but let us enjoy our peaceful holiday. The eggs from the chickens were an added bonus, they were so tasty, best fried eggs l have ever tasted.

We lucked out with some amazing early June weather and ate outside every evening watching the sun set over the hills from the beautiful gardens.

Had a lovely time in The Linney. Easily accessible from Bideford and everything was made to make us feel welcome.

Quite a small place, ideal for one but two would need to be friendly.

Only two saucepans but otherwise well equipped. Warmed up quickly despite some cold weather. Easy to get to but a fair distance to wet weather attractions, lots of good places in reach for good weather days. Good size storage space for clothes. Two rooflights have no blinds so might be an issue in summer if you like a very dark bedroom. Quiet.

All the facilities you could wish for in such a small building, really nicely converted into a comfortable little place. We were made to feel really welcome by Vicki and Pete, (and Barney of course). Ideally located to visit all the local places of interest. We would definitely recommend staying here.

2nd time we have visited, perfect base for what we want to do in Devon.

This is a very well designed and tasteful property offering a great deal of comfort, very well appointed.

The area is delightful and I would recommend. The only downside for dog owners is that there is no safe area to release the dogs and they have to at all times remain on leads. This is inconvenient as they have to be accompanied at all times. Some dogs don’t respond to their toilet training while restrained.

weather was great for the time of year. owner greeted us on arrival. We had no problem finding it. We had a lovely time there.

The Linney is small but very cleverly fitted out to seem much larger.

All the facilities are spotlessly clean. A very comfortable little barn conversion ideal for two people plus dogs. The grounds are quite large and ideal for that first morning walk before breakfast. We were somewhat surprised to find towels and flannels were provided, not usually our experience. Definitely a plus there. The bed was supremely comfortable and warm. Kitchen facilities covered most requirements, however when on holiday we prefer not to cook but to eat out. Tea, coffee and toast was about our limit! Altogether a highly recommended holiday let.

The Linney is perfect and caters for all needs and is conveniently situated to all attractions and sites to visit.

A really great place to stay,with good access to all the the recreational places including Exmoor,beaches and golf courses.

Despite the restrictions Peter and Vicky provided a lovely and pet friendly place to stay.

The cottage is in lovely part of Devon and it’s great for exploring round N Devon and into Cornwall.

Beautiful cottage with excellent facilities in a small space, everything we needed and finished to a very high standard.

Very friendly and helpful owners on site. Quite location but not far to lots of places to visit and lovely pub close by . WiFi virtually non existent unless standing in the wood shed ! Dog friendly but no enclosed space , so dogs required to be on leads at all times . During covid restricted check in and out times made the holiday feel very short and having to provide our own towels and bed linen increased the amount of luggage we needed to take and washing when we got home ! Understandable during these difficult times .

! A real home from home with everything you could ever need under one roof. Received a warm welcome from the owner with fresh flowers on arrival and fresh eggs delivered to our door the next morning!! Would happily return to the Linney!!

The Linney is idyllic, spotlessly clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything you need, we stayed with 2 dogs and the only extra thing I did was to cover the sofa and bed with throws to prevent muddy paws all over the pristine white bedding!

!. It’s a shame that the local pub does not allow dogs but there are a couple within easy driving distance that do although after a days walking we were quite happy to return to the cottage and cook a quick meal with a glass of wine!. We had a lovely holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

The cottage was cosy, very comfortable with everything provided and set in a peaceful location.

Whilst dog friendly it was a shame that the only pub in the village wasn't dog friendly, which meant driving out of the village to eat at other dog friendly pubs.; otherwise perfect.

Lovely quiet clean village location.

Be aware that the access roads to Littleham are extremely narrow with passing places. The accommodation (The Linney) was excellent, clean , tidy and well equipped with everything that we needed for an excellent holiday week. The beach at Westward Ho is only a 10 minute drive away and the supermarkets on the outskirts of Bideford are only about 1 mile down Clovelly road just from the entrance to the narrow road which is about 2 miles into Littleham . Hoping to book again next year. Much to be recommended.

We were made to feel welcome from the moment of arrival,our host Peter showed us around the cottage pointing out all the amenities.

It was a lovely cottage which was perfect for us and our dog.

We enjoyed exploring the area and the fact that we were away from the towns/beaches meant that we explored more than we probably would have done otherwise. The owners thought of everything even providing a picnic basket and flasks for you to borrow should you wish and starting you off with things like washing up liquid and toilet paper. They were very friendly too and it was great to see chickens wandering about the place.
