"Road to Adipit a challenge for vehicles with lower ground clearance as there's a raised mound in the centre of the track, this should be mentioned in your literature."
Place wasn't cleaned well, cobwebs in drawers in the main room, high ceilings had cobwebs couldn't be reached. All outside windows were filthy. Outside was unkempt dirty.
Mould in 2 corners of the bedroom
Difficult to keep the place clean as we are 74 and a dustpan and brush no good. Needed long handled brush/swiffer or hoover especially for longer stays. Did ask but not provided.
Bedroom for storage only had Single wardrobe with single drawer underneath.
Needed set of drawers with dressing table there is plenty of room in the bedroom.
A washing machine would have been preferable to a dishwasher.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay. We are sorry to hear that some aspects did not meet your expectations.
We will pass on your comments about the cobwebs, windows, and outdoor areas to our cleaning team so they can be checked more carefully in future.
Regarding the road, this is maintained by the local council, and we have already asked them to improve the surface. We have not had other complaints about this.
We were glad to speak with you at the begining of your stay about providing additional cleaning equipment, but did not hear back from you, so we were unable to follow up.
As the property is advertised as not having a washing machine, guests looking for this facility may prefer to book a different property.
Thank you again for your feedback. We do appreciate guests letting us know their thoughts so that we can continue to provide a comfortable stay.
Kind regards,
Amanda

"The property is excellent."
The location is beautiful, but if you like walking, it is not practical to walk directly from the accommodation. That is a personal preference. Perhaps I should have done more research before hand. Appart from that as I say the property and beautiful Devon countryside is excellent. I shall return to Devon, as I have done for many years.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay ☺️

"The location is exactly as described - very peaceful and rural."
The lane from Monkleigh is to be avoided; the easiest way is via Buckland Brewer. As you walk in first impressions are clean and fresh. The accommodation was entirely adequate with a well-equipped kitchen. We particularly liked the pull out larder. The living area is generous and comfortable. The generously proportioned bathroom has a space-saving cubicle and tiny cloakroom basin. Why?

Cosy and warm with a well supplied kitchen with everything you would need.
Nice hot shower and a comfy bed to end the day.
Best of all we enjoyed the peace and quiet.

"Lovely modern, well equipped cottage in a beautiful peaceful location accessed by some very narrow country lanes."
A perfect base for exploring the amazing north Devon coastline.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. Yes, Devon does have some narrow lanes, they all add to the charm of North Devon. We hope to welcome you back again in the future.

"Lovely five nights stay in this out of the way cottage."
Very peaceful. Home from home. Enjoyed the bird song and watching the guinea fowl. Steep drive! Made it up and down on the electric bikes though. Thank you.

"Adipit lovely accommodation, should be advertised that stables is not easy on a easy access road just a very long track, very tricky for older drivers."
Would not have booked if was aware of this..
Thank you so much for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the stables. Unfortunately we can’t do anything about publicly maintained roads, but we do always report the potholes which do get fixed.

"Adipit is a lovely cottage full of light and great views."
However you should warn visitors about the very steep, narrow drive. Also there is no freezer or ice box - can't even freeze ice packs for a picnic. The bathroom has a tiny washbasin and the shower cubicle is very small. Not fit for purpose. Bedroom had no mirror for hair drying near a plug. Lot of waste space in that room.
Thank you so much for your feedback. We have taken on board your comments and have made some alterations to the stables. The fridge now has an icebox and the bedroom now has a full length mirror. We try our best to accommodate our guests with the resources we have. Unfortunately we can’t do anything about the drive but have made it wider for easier access at the bottom. North Devon is beautifully full of valleys and we are fortunate to live in one with a it’s beautiful views.

It is flooded with light from two sets of patio doors and is a perfect spot for bird and wildlife spotting.

"Being the first time we have spent a holiday in a cottage as normal hotels, we were very impressed with the whole cottage."
Very modern with all mod cons. Very isolated and an ideal place to spend a week away from the hassle of every day life. So relaxing with fantastic views of the Devon countryside yet within easy reach of the coast and visitor attractions. The sunshine and warmth was an added bonus for the beginning of October. Would definitely recommend Adipit Stables.
Thank you so so much for your wonderful feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay.

"A beautiful setting and the property is very well equipped with high quality furniture and fittings."
Having a lovely deck to sit out on is a bonus since you’re very close to nature and if you’re lucky might spot an owl or two or the odd hedgehog. We found it very peaceful and relaxing.
Finding Adepits was a bit of a challenge without Satnav since the single track lane down to the turning is unmarked so some kind of a sign at the top would be very helpful.
