  The Property was of a lovely setting But some things need to be changed (Bed) Was was much to hard and lumps found in the Mattress right hand side Shower Cubical very slippery ether a mat or non slip pads need to be applied also needs a Hand rail to be fitted as people of age dont feel secure without holding to steading them The living quarters mainly the lounge/dinning room smell of damp Possibly coming from the main large Rug in the cenre of the Room

Regarding the smell you mentioned in the lounge/dining room, we would like to reassure future guests that the chalet has never had any damp issues and there is no damp present in the property. As this concern has not been raised by previous guests, it is possible that the smell may have been caused by the rug having recently been cleaned. Nevertheless, we take all feedback seriously and will thoroughly investigate the matter to ensure the chalet remains fresh, comfortable and enjoyable for all our guests. We are arranging for a shower mat to be provided to improve comfort and safety in the shower area, and we will also be reviewing your comments regarding the mattress although recently a deep mattress topper was added for additional comfort. • "Stayed at Driftwood with our dog in June and thankfully because of its location close to a line of trees gave us some respite from the heatwave."

  The chalet was beautifully clean and comfortable and very well equipped. Perfectly located for Dartmouth and surrounding countryside and South Devon's beautiful beaches. The welcome pack was a nice touch, especially the generous supply of biscuits.

• "We had a very enjoyable stay in Driftwood."

  The property was very well-equipped and comfortable. Unfortunately the TV failed to work towards the beginning of our stay (oh dear this was during the World Cup) but the next day the property was fitted quickly and efficiently with a new TV. No hassle, in time for the England game. Super walk in shower and pleasant outlook.

• "Excellent south facing aspect."

  Comfortable overall, good kitchen and bathroom facilities. Too many cushions everywhere: sofas and bed. Excessive. Bed a bit hard and lumpy. Fridge a bit small, even for my limited requirements. Overall, enjoyed my stay.

  Thank you for your review and for highlighting the chalet’s sunny south-facing aspect, as well as the kitchen and bathroom facilities. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay overall. Guest comfort is very important to us, and while we have historically received excellent feedback regarding comfort and our beds, we will add deep mattress toppers during our next changeover clean. We appreciate that furnishings such as cushions are a matter of personal taste; many guests enjoy the cosy and welcoming feel they create, although they can easily be moved aside if preferred. With regard to the fridge, Driftwood is equipped with a standard under-counter fridge with freezer compartment, which is typical for a holiday chalet of this size and is generally well suited to accommodating the needs of up to four guests for short holidays. We are grateful for all feedback and continually look for ways to enhance the experience for future visitors. Property Owner

• "Lovely chalet with a surprising amount of room inside."

  Well thought out space wise with comfortable furniture. A lot of facilities. Could do with a pair of scissors apart from the set in the first aid kit but, apart from that, very well equipped.

• "My Mum and I had a fabulous time at Driftwood."

  It was beautifully clean and very well equipped. We visited several local beaches along with Dartmouth and Totnes and were lucky with the weather. So much right on the doorstep.

• "Everything was brilliant."

  From start to finish I would highly recommend Driftwood to anyone. We used as a base to explore local areas and beaches as we had our doggy with us. Dartmouth is very nice also. Would go again.

• "Driftwood is a lovely little getaway, charming in decor and very clean."

  The kitchen had everything we needed. It’s within easy reach of 2 supermarkets and not far from Dartmouth itself. Because we booked early Autumn, we used the heating and it was cosy and warm. We would definitely consider going back.

• "We enjoyed our stay and found the property clean and well looked after."

  The kitchen was also very well equipped. The shower was nice and warm and it was helpful having a heated towel rail.

• "Driftwood was very clean and well maintained."

  Towels, tea towels, toilet paper and bed linen were provided - as were coffee pods. There were clear instructions on how to use the heating and hot water system and the coffee machine. We were kept up to date when an electrical outage was due and for how long. I’m sure if we had brought the dog he would have enjoyed the area Driftwood was in. Very pleased with Driftwood accommodation.

• "A wonderful place to head out to the beautiful Dartmouth and it's surrounding picturesque villages."

  We stayed for four nights and it wasn't enough. Driftwood was immaculately clean and tidy, well decorated with all the facilities and more to make our stay seem special. It had a lovely welcoming charm about it and a personal touch which we loved. We couldn't fault it. We are keen to come back.

• "We had a really delightful stay at Driftwood!"

  !! We arrived to a newly-renovated chalet situated on the edge of the tranquil Norton Holiday Park just outside Dartmouth. All facilities within the chalet itself were spotless and in excellent working condition. We found that significant attention had been given to detail and were very grateful for the cleanliness of the accommodation. We further appreciated the Welcome Package you kindly put together for us (incl. coffee pods, tea and biscuits)! Overall, we were blessed with good weather and were therefore outdoors every day to take in the truly breathtaking surrounding area… what an amazing overall experience! We were very happy here and will consider returning next year
