  • Mrs Tooley

“We had a very enjoyable week at the Colmer Estate, a pretty secluded setting with an extra bonus of a heated outdoor pool.”

The cottage was very comfortable, and had everything we needed. A great base to explore the nearby beaches.

The property

The Colmer Estate is an exclusive collection of 20 holiday cottages set in 28 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds.

A range of year-round indoor and outdoor facilities will keep the whole family entertained whatever the weather and include both an indoor and outdoor pool, fitness room, games room, children’s play area and a hard tennis court (bring your own racquets and balls).

Nearby, are many sandy beaches, including Bigbury on Sea where you can cross the water by sea tractor to explore Burgh Island and its elegant art deco hotel.

The popular towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth are both just a short drive away.

The original Coach House is now a detached, single storey cottage.

A traditional stone building, the open plan living area is bright and contemporary as are the three comfortable bedrooms - a double, a twin and a children's bunk room.
