  • "A lovely property, with a homely and calm feel."

Very well equipped throughout and almost perfectly located. It is close enough to the front that it gives easy access, but far enough away that it remains very quiet and peaceful. We very much enjoyed our time there and intend to visit Exmouth again soon

  • "An extremely comfortable well appointed house in a good location for both beach and town centre."

The house was well maintained and clean throughout. Communication from the owners was excellent. We slept so well in the two weeks we were there and would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Delighted you enjoyed your time at Casalmare. Do come again. Property Owner

  • "Casalmare is a delightful property in a quiet, leafy location, but minutes from the beach."

We were impressed by the extremely well-equipped kitchen/ diner & really comfortable lounge. The master bedroom with en suite shower is particularly spacious, but the 2 other doubles were equally comfortable & the small single made a cosy bolt-hole for grandma! Everything was spotlessly clean. The garden was clearly well-maintained & would be lovely to relax in during warmer months. We made good use of the table tennis option in the garage, too. All in all we had a great week. Thank you.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your week and thank you for your kind comments. Property Owner

We were a party of 5 adults and a toddler and the layout of the rooms was ideal. Would stay at this property again.

  • "The property was lovely, definitely value for money and more than adequate accommodation for 4 adults and 3 children."

The 10minute walk to the beach was quite accurate - more than some other properties I have used in the past! The garden was safe and secure. The property is situated in a quiet road, with little light pollution, the night sky was beautiful. Ample parking for 2 large cars with lots of room to spare.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Casalmare."

The house was in a quiet location, a short walk from the sea and was well equipped - probably better equipped than the description implied. If we were to go to Exmouth again we would certainly choose the same house.

  • "Te house was very good and catered for all ur needs but we should have had wifi and did not have this facility all week despite promises."

Travel friday changeovers are a problem for travel and traffic was terrible in both directions resulting in significant delays please encourage your owners to revert to saturday changes to benefit clients

Unfortunately BT misled us by saying they would fix the wifi within 48 hours. Eventually an operative had to come out and he found that we had been cut off when they were laying new cable in the road. Many apologies on the behalf of BT. Due to the amount of traffic all over England we are not sure moving to Saturday would be any better. We will discuss with Sykes. Delighted that you enjoyed the house. Property Owner

  • "Casalmare is in a quiet peacefull area, we didn't hear any noise at night time."

It is a spacious holiday home, with plenty of room for 6 adults. The house is light and airy. The pleasant garden is a secluded place to relax and enjoy a meal. There is a cover to shelter from the weather, be it sun or drizzle. We had fun in the evenings playing table tennis. The walk into town is a good 15 minutes, longer coming back , as it's uphill. We found a good variety of places to eat in Exmouth. The lovely sandy beach is only a ten minute walk, but again uphill on the way back. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Casalmare.

  • "Excellent well equipped accommodation in a convenient location."

Our only reservation was that the front and back gardens open onto each other and the drive so are only secure if the front gate is closed. It is difficult to keep an eye on a toddler in this situation.

  • "Such a well equipped holiday cottage, loads of everything - crockery, cutlery, cleaning materials, seating."

Large house gave everyone plenty of space, bedrooms are lovely and main two have great views of the sea. Situated in a quiet street, about 10 mins from the beach and 20 mins from the main town area. The washing machine and games room are a real plus, and if only the weather had been better I'm sure we would have enjoyed sitting in the garden. Exmouth is a small town, with a variety of restaurants, plenty of transport links and many interesting places to visit. The coastal path is nearby. If we venture to Devon again this would be top of my list for accommodation.

Had been cleaned to a high standard before our arrival. Good location in Exmouth, being walking distance to the town and also the sea front and esplanade. Great walking from the property - easy to join the South West Coast Path & also the Exe Estuary trail (Exmouth to Topsham, return via bus).

  • "Although cleanliness was very good there were empty crisp packets behind a radiator, children's toys under the sofa, crumbs under sofa cushions and areas of the floor where covered by furniture had not been swept or cleaned."

Equipment in the kitchen was excellent although personally would like to have seen a cafetière. Use of a radio in the kitchen would also be good. There was also an absence of places to dry wet towels after showering. The shower/bathroom is in need of refurbishment and the shower control was difficult to use by a member of our party.

Thank you very much for your feedback. The cleaners will be informed of the issues you mentioned. There are in fact 3 Cafetierres in the kitchen, we are sorry that you didn't find the cupboard! There are radiators which can be switched on in the bathroom and there is a drier in the garage. Concerning the shower/bathroom, it is due to be refurbished in January. Sorry for the difficulty experienced by one of your party members. We do hope you enjoyed your stay overall. Property Owner

  • "The property was very comfortable and equipped to a high standard - better than we expected."

It was in a lovely quiet location, and we were able to walk to the sea front and Exmouth town. We used the local station to visit some beautiful attractions during our stay. The trains are regular, cheap and reliable, and we hardly needed to use the car. I felt that Sykes were there if we needed any support or help during our stay. The booking process was easy and communication leading up to our holiday really was excellent. The Sykes app is very useful indeed.
