  • "South Holm is perfectly situated for reaching all popular destinations in Devon."

    It is comfortable and clean and we would highly recommend it. We are hoping to return as it was so convenient for us, and reasonably priced too. It is unusual for us to find a property where everything works as it should (plumbing, TV, heating, WiFi etc) and it all did at South Holm!

  • "South Holm was just right for us."

    We arrived during a storm so there was no view at all, just grey fog and wind but woke the next morning to sunshine and a lovely view from the house. The garden was grass and fenced in so perfect for our Lab. The house was spotless, the bed (we only slept in the king bed downstairs though) was comfortable. The owners were friendly and helpful. The kitchen is small, only 2 rings on the hob but there is a microwave combi oven (we didn't use it) and a bbq and pizza oven by the backdoor (we didn't use them either) - we managed very happily with the hob. Milk was in the fridge and frozen pizza dough but please note only tea, coffee and sugar are provided so make sure you bring your own salt, pepper, oil etc. The house is furnished to a very high standard - a beautiful place to have a holiday - we recommend it

  • "Took my elderly and mobility limited parents."

    Accomodation accessible and we found it comfortable. Owners very helpful and welcoming. Beautiful views from living room. Well placed geographically for trips out, and we were able to find places nearby with disabled parking or easy drop off at door places. Roads locally are narrow, added to the holiday adventure.

  • "South Holm is in a beautiful location, amazing views all around."

    Private garden, sheltered area for barbecue and pizza oven - which we really enjoyed and was very inspiring to have at home. The beds and sofas were very comfortable. Good showers and a well equipped kitchen (a little small, but I guess most people eat out when away). We had a great time in Devon and again each evening when we returned to this lovely property. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful. Always there if you needed them, but not in your face and gave us privacy. We loved it and would recommend staying here and would stay again.

  • "South Holm is in a beautiful location."

    Peaceful and tranquil. Breathtaking views during the day and spectacular sky at night. Not far from local coastal towns such as Dartmouth, Plymouth, Torquay, Salconbe etc. Hosts were super helpful and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • "We had a lovely 5 day break at South Holm, with a warm welcome from Tina, David and the dogs."

    It is a lovely property and one of the nicest we have stayed in and was perfect for exploring Dartmouth, Totnes, Brixham etc. which were all only a short drive away. A short break was not long enough, we will return.

  • "A lovely, clean and comfortable house with panoramic views of the rolling countryside."

    The owners, David and Tina live next next and are very helpful with tips about places to visit and gave us some fresh eggs from their chickens. We were fortunate to stay during a spell of heatwave weather and had hot sunny weather for most of our 2 week stay. The house was very comfortable during the hot weather, keeping cool and comfortable with a modern air flow system. A lovely enclosed garden with spectacular views and safe for our dog. Very peaceful location and a short driving distance to many places of interest and local walks. We loved the outdoor kitchen and used the gas BBQ and pizza oven a lot

    Spectacular views from the rear of the property and Dave, the host, available to help and with good tips and recommendations. Would have liked a bit more Devon sunshine!, but overall a very pleasant stay.

  • "Perfect stay."

    Eco-friendly, warm, dust-mite free house with newest technology to experience. We will recommend to everyone. Peaceful retreat from busy live in a beautiful Devon. The pictures of the sunrise seen online are taken from that location, we believe. David and Tina are most friendly hosts you can imagine, loving nature and animals. Our boys enjoyed pizza oven very much. And tea tastes so nice with soft water too. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. We will be back.

    The house was lovely, perfect for us the kitchen was on the small size but the outdoor kitchen with pizza oven and barbecue was excellent. The owners were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, beautiful views from the property grandson loved it here the owner had horses and some chickens so we had fresh eggs.we had such a wonderful time that that we didn't want to come home

Alongside this, you will find a snug kingsize bedroom (can be made into twin beds) and a separate shower room, ensuring ample space for everyone to prepare for their day.

Moreleigh is a picturesque countryside hamlet between Totnes, Dartmouth and Kingsbridge in South Hams Devon. This friendly farming hamlet is a great base for enjoying nature and exploring both the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Dartmoor National Park. Take a scenic stroll through the surrounding countryside, heading for the nearby Avon Valley woods where you can wild swim or paddle in the river - look out for Kingfishers, Dippers and otters. Dining options include the New Inn, an unspoilt village pub serving famous steaks and a traditional British menu. You can stock up on essentials at the nearby Spar convenience store or purchase farm fresh eggs, free-range chicken and duck at Stanborough farm. Moreleigh is within easy reach of the towns of Totnes, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Salcombe where you can find more attractions and amenities. Why not leave the car and take the bus, a regular service runs from Halwell 7 days a week. With the Dartmoor National Park on its doorstep, you can hike up Western Beacon, wild swim in the upper river Dart or visit the animals at Dartmoor Zoo.
