"Lovely comfortable cottage."
Good equipment and facilities. And fantastic information on the area and things to do. Smaller en suite shower didn’t always stay on when the on button was pressed but did after a bit of fiddling and toilet seat slides about a bit. One gas ring on the cooker not working but overall had a lovely stay and would definitely come again. Had a bit of trouble making the key safe stay closed when we left but managed it in the end. May need checking but May have just been us!

"We absolutely loved Seal Cottage and the surrounding area."
We stayed for 5 nights but needed 7 in order to do all the walks and activities we had planned. The cottage had lots of helpful maps and information. We enjoyed the board games and the facilities were outstanding, comfy beds, well appointed bathrooms and kitchen. It was lovely and warm, clean and comfortable. The coast path in both directions is stunning with massive cliffs dropping vertically to the sea.We definitely hope to return in future.
Thank you for the lovely feedback. We do hope you return to Seal Cottage one day. Property Owner

"Seal cottage feels more like a home than a holiday cottage."
It was very well appointed and the views from the front of the cottage were fabulous. The rear courtyard we didn’t use as the sun wasn’t in there when we visited and it’s small. There are a number of steps to the property so anyone with mobility problems could struggle but it was fine for us. There are three bedrooms but these all vary greatly size but in truth you don’t spend your time upstairs. Really enjoyed our stay the fabulous weather helped.

"This holiday home is very well equipped."
The knives and scissor’s are nice and sharp. The general cleanness and comfort was good. It is great for a family holiday, if you have buggies or a mobility problem there are steps up to the property. Very good for a walking holiday but limited for buggy use. However, we have holidayed in Mortehoe and Woolacombe many times and knew how steep and narrow it is. It was a brilliant holiday for a family. Thank you to the owner’s and cleaning staff.

"We have had a lovely fortnight at Seal cottage."
There is a lovely view of the sea over a few rooftops at the front which we enjoyed constantly from the outside bench and from the living room.
Seal cottage is very well equipped and surprisingly spacious. Really comfy beds, quality kitchen equipment and lovely new bathrooms. There has been a lot of care and money spent on this house.
There are 20 steps up to the property and parking is 50 yards down the lane so only good for fit family members.
But we loved it nevertheless.. a real home from home.

"The house was much more spacious than we had realised and so brilliantly equipped- everything we could possibly think of was in the kitchen."
Lacked in a nice outside space but did not affect our stay at all and would not stop us rebooking. Mortehoe was lovely and we were really lucky to have a week of glorious weather

"Fantastic accommodation, plenty of room for everyone and nice view of the sea."
We liked that there were some toys in the cupboard for little ones and enough room to get the highchairs around the table. Shops and restaurants an easy walkable distance
Location is great for exploring and we would be happy to stay again

"Seal Cottage was ideal for us in everyway."
Plenty of room, extremely well equipped, 3 bathrooms and 4 toilets. and so easy to keep clean and tidy.
Very good location wise as well, we were able to walk to Woolacombe , the coastal walk on the way back was so good. We droves to Ilfracombe, Lynton. Lee Beach and Exmoor Zoo all within easy reach. The walks to Rockham Beach and the lighthouse started on the doorstep.
The only negative thing I can say about our holiday was the lack of places to go out to eat, but that is probably more due to Covid 19 restrictions having to book in advance and not really knowing where eating places were.
We did use the FIsh and Chip shop in the village twice which was very good, lots of options and the take away next door Rockham House. I had the Thai fish curry which was amazing. If you don't mind cooking whilst on holiday Tesco in Ilfracombe is quite a big store only a 15mins drive and has everything.

"Seal Cottage is a perfect holiday rental in every way."
The furnishings and equipment are top quality and everything you can possibly need has been thought of. The beds are extremely comfortable which was most appreciated. The location of the property is great. It is a 5 min walk to the village amenities and there are lots of walks from the cottage doorstep including the easily accessible coastal path. What a glorious coastline which we could fully enjoy given the great weather we had.

"We love Seal cottage."
The owner has thought of everything you might need and makes it such a comfortable stay. For some the steps might be too much as you can’t unload directly from your car, but a minor thing and is clear in the description.

"Seal Cottage is a lovely little gem in this part of Devon."
We visited Woolacombe some 25 years ago for several holidays and wanted to return to this beautiful part of Devon for a long weekend. We stayed at Seal Cottage, it is lovely, it had sea views from the lounge and upstairs main bedroom. All three bedrooms were doubles with the most comfortable beds and two bedrooms were en-suite. The owners had thought of everything, you wanted for nothing. We had our own holiday home in Lanzarote for 11 years before selling it two years ago so we know what it is like to rent property and our feedback was always 'like home from home' and this is exactly what Seal Cottage is, a 'home from home'. Although we went into Woolacombe each day, we could not wait to return to the cottage for a lovely relaxing family time together just chilling and watching some films. It was so quiet and the owners had on supply for you games, freeview TV and if you wanted a picnic the cooler bag and plastic cups etc were there for you to use. Everything from the kitchen equipment to the bed linen were top quality. We will certainly be returning to this little haven we have found. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

"The house is well situated, in a lovely quiet spot, pretty village and delightful area."
There are steep steps to get up to the front door, which might be tricky for some. Good directions to the parking area, for which we were grateful.
Beautiful views from front of the house, and lovely walks nearby. Most rooms well furnished and comfortable; the third bedroom has less storage facilities than the others, and no mirror or dressing table. The other bedrooms are very good, clean, with excellent en-suites.
The kitchen is well stocked, with good quality kitchen wear, everything one could need.
Sadly, the mobile telephone signal is appalling and it was rare that we could communicate with family, from within the cottage. There is a landline, to which we needed to resort and the honesty box is a nice idea.
The cottage was booked, quite clearly for 3 people, and a confirmation email sent to this effect, however, there were only sufficient towels for 2 people. We did contact the owner/caretaker on the number provided who rectified this omission immediately.
The Devonshire cream tea supplied as a complimentary welcome gift was also only for 2 people.

"What an amazing cottage to spend a winter break in."
The views from the cottage are wonderful and with the place being so well equipped and comfortable it provided the ideal place to relax in with the family. There's something for everyone no matter their age from a cosy log burner, family games, toys, Netflix, WiFi and portable Bluetooth speaker, not to mention the excellently equipped kitchen and bathrooms and the clean comfy bedrooms. Amazing value for money!
