Chalet 29 is a lovely holiday chalet situated in the charming coastal town of Brixham, Devon. Ideal for couples, families, friends and dog owners, this pet-friendly property sleeps four across two bedrooms and enjoys a prime coastal position close to the South West Coast Path and within walking distance of St Mary’s Bay beach, making it a great choice for those keen to explore the South Devon coastline. With pebbled coves, secluded bays and scenic coastal walks close by, it is perfect for walkers and beach lovers alike. Step into the open-plan living space, where a leather sofa invites you to unwind with a film on the TV after a day of adventures. The well-equipped kitchen provides everything you need to cook up a storm or bake your favourite treats, which can be enjoyed outside on the front lawn or while soaking up the fresh sea air when the sun is shining. Gather around the dining table to toast to a memorable break or settle in for a relaxed games night with loved ones. When it’s time to rest, freshen up with a steamy shower before heading to one of the two welcoming bedrooms, comprising a double and a twin, offering comfortable accommodation for all. A short walk brings you to Berry Head Nature Reserve, home to exceptional coastal views, a lighthouse, historic Napoleonic fort and the popular Guardhouse Café, while nearby Brixham offers a bustling harbour, fresh seafood and a fantastic choice of places to eat, drink and shop. There is a children’s play area onsite, and guests also have access to the excellent facilities at the sister park, Riviera Bay Coastal Retreat (just 0.8 miles away), including a swimming pool (open 1 May – 20 September 2026), changing rooms, a fitness suite, and a bar café serving light bites.

Good points: mattresses were comfortable.

Facilities on sister park were very nice but you have to drive there or a 20minute walk. Improving points: cottage is in need of refurbishment urgently. Kitchen drawers falling apart, cupboards old and damaged. Everything really old.1small Frying pan old, bent and burnt. Electric hob very old and used. Sofas very uncomfortable. Swimming pool being repaired on school holiday period? Very bad timing. Pool table broken. No darts available even though there is a dart target on the wall. Games room smells bad. Comparing to some of the other cottages that look more cared for this one is definitely a must not! Listing here on Sykes says towels are available, but no towels provided because these cottages are not entitled. Poor service. No free WiFi. 12£ for 4 days. When you already pay over 500£ for the stay minimum is towels and WiFi...
