  • "We had a lovely week at this sweet little cottage, although small it had everything we needed."

The courtyard garden was a real sun trap & very pretty, it was also very private, & the communal areas were very well maintained. A perfect place to come back to after a busy day.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Nightingale Cottage."

Very well equips and clean. The cottage is in a great location for exploring different parts of Cornwall. We would happily stay at Nightingale again. The only thing we did find was still bring March, during our stay, at times it was a little on the cool side in the cottage.

Evening There are extra modern heaters on the wall in both bedroom and lounge area it is all listed in the handover folder if you got chilly....also wood burning stove in bedroom.... but i'm surprised as it's on control set at 21 so it should always be warm with the underfloor heating. i will check the controls to make sure no one has fiddled with them.., see you again hopefully glad you enjoyed our little cottage .... thank you Property Owner

  • "We had such a beautiful time in Cornwall and Nightingale Cottage was a big part of that!"

So comfortable, welcoming and incredibly well equipped. A very warm welcome when we arrived, directions were spot on too, definitely don’t follow sat nav. Loved the decoration, was just perfect. We ate at the cottage every evening and didn’t want for anything in the kitchen. My only suggestion would be some more ideas on restaurants/take away in the local area, we did want a take away one evening but didn’t know where was best. The folder left in the cottage had lots of great information about walks and places to visit too. Thank you so much!!

Thank you for your lovely comments I take on board all comments and will look into adding some takeaways restaurants in and around the area To the folder at the cottage Thank Karen Property Owner

  • "What a find this little gem is."

There is nothing that has not been thought of. Immaculate - if you are a 'neat-freak' then this is one place you will be able to relax in, it is cleaned to a very high standard. A comfortable 'firm' mattress, and nice bedding & towels that smell delightful. Quality furnishings and the added bonus of a washing machine and dishwasher - detergents included. Lashings of hot water and great rain-head shower. Located in an ideal spot - 20 mins to a beach by car. This is a quiet spot and is surrounded by the beautiful Cornish countryside. Highly recommend you give this lil gem a try.

Thank you I work hard to make all my guests feel comfortable , glad you had a lovely stay see you again next year hopefully........ Karen Property Owner

Lovely little hamper for us and our dog too. But there was no toilet roll or hand towel in the bathroom when we arrived.

Good morning Toilet roll always left on toilet seat, I clean them myself so I know it was there, also I leave bath sheets small towels have been used for dogs in the past so no small hand towels left now....just bath sheets...... Enjoy your summer Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage."

Had a wonderful time. Lovely welcome pack of local produce. Very minor problem was several heating systems and the underfloor heating never seemed to activate, this was not a major problem as we were very comfortable. All in all a wonderful cottage and a fabulous stay.

Thank you for your feed back, the underfloor CH system is pre set at a comfortable 20 degrees. You will appreciate that our rental fees are calculated around the price of electricity and that if the ambient is greater then 20degrees the CH will not activate Hope this answers your comment.... The bed was extremely comfortable , The furnishings and fixtures were very well selected, the only missing item as far as I could find was the absence of a plate draining rack on the kitchen sink, which was only a minor drawback

  • "Great location, excellent cottage well equipped, quiet, plenty of space for two plus dog, king bed and good size en-suite, excellent shower."

Well laid out, everything we needed, lovely location, nice outside space with table and chairs, lots of games, books and dvds if needed. Central for going to the south coast or north, and the various attractions. Everything worked without a problem, booking, communication, arrival with key box on the door, contact point (although didn’t need). Had a great time, would return again. Only thing I’d add to change would be some wedges under the coffee table to stop rolling about, as on wheels, but a small thing.

Thank you so much for a lovely positive feedback Yes we will look at the coffee table point taken. Hopefully see you again Have a great summer Property Owner

One tiny, tiny suggestion for improvement would be tissues and hand soap, and one other minor point, the temp of hot water was scolding hot.

Glad you enjoyed your stay at nightingale cottage. We supply toilet roll, kitchen roll, and liquid soap at both sinks......... Have checked water temp and it is fine? Doesn’t appear to be a Scoulding....... Have a lovely summer Property Owner
