A beautiful cottage in an area of outstanding beauty.

Thank you for all the supplies such as washing up liquid, dishwashing tablets. The walks are fabulous and great pub next door. Parking very difficult, but we were aware it might be tricky. There were 4 of us with 2 dogs and we had a lovely stay, if you want beautiful landscape and a stunning home, this is it

Enjoyed a short break in this lovely old cottage.

This was our third visit and that should indicate how much we enjoy Annette's fabulous cottage!

It is just wonderful, so well equipped, everything you could ever need and more is there. The cottage is beautiful inside and out and we hope to return again for visit number 4. We really cannot fault the cottage at all and being next door to the Journey's End is a bonus too. All I can say is thank you!

Beautiful cottage in perfect location very well stocked by owners didn’t need to take anything with us even left us some lovely biscuits and milk in fridge on arrival

The cottage is very comfortable and cosy.

There is everything you need. The surroundings are beautiful. There are many things to explore. We will surely come back.

Really lovely cottage in a picturesque location.

A very well equipped kitchen. Attractive throughout and very clean. Liked the small outside space to sit in. There is limited parking but we had no problems finding a space. A short walk of 15 mins takes you to a small cove and the surrounding areas are really pretty. The pub next door is wonderful! The only thing was the bed though comfy was very squeaky probably needs screws tightening or something. Would definitely recommend.

Good standard throughout.

A little confusing to work out location at first but generally ok. Nice village with friendly locals. Plenty to do walking etc. Maybe a few too many signs saying what not to do etc .

The cottage is lovely and just how the pictures show.

Perfect location for country and beach walks with a very friendly pub next door. Lots of extra items available in the cottage such as hairdryers, slow cooker and picnic baskets for the summer months. A great welcome hamper was much appreciated too. Small courtyard garden which is very pretty and fully enclosed. Great communication with the owners. We had a fab winter break over New Years and would definitely visit again.

An incredible stay at a beautiful location.

Could not have asked for more - staying at 4 Cumberland Cottages truly made for a magical Christmas time. The cottage was extremely comfortable and cosy throughout, brilliantly located and was exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed for our stay.

I would highly recommend 4 Cumberland Cottages- it’s a beautiful old property full of character and the decor/home comforts were amazing.

Everything was thought of, from kitchen utensils down to little torches in the bedroom to light the way if needed in the night. Also nice touches like soaps, condiments etc were there and felt generous and kind. Thank you. Everything was delightful and it’s in a great private setting despite being on the end of a row. It was quiet , peaceful and had no traffic passing the door. The walks in the area were easy to find and within 20 mins gentle stroll you could be on a beautiful wild beach (Arymer Cove). There were also nearby little short walks to get to quickly for a dog walk early morning or last thing. The dogs loved it. The music/study was cosy as was the lounge, and the kitchen was practical and sociable. We also sat out in the courtyard one starry night until the chill set in. It really couldn’t have been better and I hope to go for longer next time, I didn’t want to leave . St Ann’s Chapel shop was well stocked for provisions and the pub next door was cosy and very friendly( as all recommended in the information pack left by the owners) Thank you, it was magical.

It is a beautifully presented cottage, with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and welcoming under floor heating on a gloomy November weekend. Great walks from the door.

This is fantastic cottage, everything you need from a great pub next door to the Cove just a short walk away.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful, charming cottage in the heart of Ringmore.

The space is carefully laid out with genuine attention to detail — everything we would have wanted was provided — and the host gave clear, helpful information so check-in was effortless. Ringmore itself is picturesque and peaceful, just a short walk to one of our favourite Devon beaches and the lovely towns of Modbury and Kingsbridge were within easy striking distance in a car. The pub nearby is amazing; great food and atmosphere. We’d happily book again.

Absolutely perfect cottage.

Everything we needed and more. So beautiful, loved the interior design, the comfy beds and lovely courtyard seating. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Cannot wait to return.

Picture perfect cottage in a beautiful village with a hidden gem of a pub next door, just exactly what we were looking for with all the quirky little things but modern touches where needed.

Lots of nearby places to visit and walks too, then to return to the cottage start up the fire and cosy up with a nice bottle of red. Bed is comfortable, kitchen has all you need, for the fire best place for wood and kindling is the nearby village shop at St Ann’s Chapel as it’s cheaper than anywhere we found. The pub next door serves amazing food and ales, wine was good too however do book in advance as it is very popular but very worth it in our opinion after having the fillet steak. The pub is very dog friendly and our dog was welcome in most places nearby too. We would love to make this somewhere to return to annually as we really enjoyed the break and the scenery. lovely pub next door and beautiful walks too the beach would highly recommend. The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed.

Good location.

Two bedrooms, one bed was very uncomfortable and caused backache, the other bed was good. The rest of the cottage was great. Good neighbour at No.3, pleasant and friendly.

4 Cumberland Cottages, This cottage is in a fantastic location, idilic.

Great food at the pub next door. Our trip wasn't the best to the cottage and upon arrival it was beautiful. To the eye!! Great location. Very well equipped kitchen. The smell of damp & mould hit us straight away but we ignored this, as old (previously flooded according to a local in the pub) houses do suffer with this issue. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. (We let the owner and a note for the cleaner to let them know) No sqeedgy to wipe down after a shower and very little bathroom item space. If you were a party of 4, very annoying. Showers were quick so as not to use limited hot water. The upstairs smelt very strongly of mould and damp. Could almost feel it in the hard, hessian type carpet. Stairs are quite steep with a lethal "blind" step into the back bedroom If you have allergies or asthma would avoid staying here. All the cushions and pillows are goose/duck feather. Awful , toxic to dogs, stick scent bottles everywhere (to mask the stale damp smell we would imagine). The Henry hoover smelt horrific of old previous wet dogs. The courtyard could definitely do with some attention! Slippery cobbles, (weather is not the owners fault) and very green from moisture. The dog in the row of cottages which was a residence dog. Howled alot. During sitting trying to relax, which set our own dog off The owner was aware of this as when we told them, they assured us the dog was loved. That's as maybe. Sounded quite distressed not to mention annoying. We get you get the odd cobweb in old places, but think the cleaners could make more of an effort on this front The bathroom was covered in them. It is a nice looking cottage, and as previously stated , we'll equipped kitchen. Although the skylight in kitchen has a cracked window with plants growing through it from outside. I would say if you don't mind damp and have no allergies. Go for it

A beautiful cottage , quality furnishing and in taste with the property .

We had an amazing 7 day stay . Plenty to see and do , and the Journeys End pub next door to have a relaxing drink at the end of a day , but book before hand as they are very popular, the food is out standing !! We have nothing to complain about , parking was fine just up the road a 5 min walk , the exercise did me good. Thank you for a peaceful holiday , it was hard to leave .

Having a pub next door was a bonus. Would definitely stay again

It was lovely, well equipped and good quality, we struggled with the stairs a bit as we are older and live in a bungalow!

The meals we had in The Journeys End were delicious.

No car parking space, garden and sitting area over grown and lots of weeds so we couldn’t sit outside, outside furniture was dirty.

We wasn’t told that the pub next door beer garden was directly our view from our sitting room so we had to keep windows and curtains closed.

Was a lovely cottage, well situated with everything we need .

If you want a pretty cottage, and do not mind only downstairs bathroom well situated and a beautiful village with lovely walks around next to a great pub - that is the cottage for you . We were very happy and pleased .

Lovely cottage with lots of character, lovely comfortable beds, kitchen had everything we needed, in a great location for coastal path.

We loved the unspoilt cove just a short walk away. The pub next door had great charm however was fully booked all week for food so only able to have a drink. A little confusing with having supplies in fridge as we used some milk then read in a folder it was not to use. We replaced it but perhaps a note on the shelf would be better as we didn't read folder until next day. Then we worried if the lemon drizzle cake was for us, it was delicious! Thank you. The designated parking was not available, maybe because of pub being busy. Overall we had a lovely stay and would return, Thank you.
