  • "We had a fantastic week and the cottage was perfectly located for us, having teenage children."

The view from the sitting room is spectacular and it was lovely to sit out on the balcony.

  • "Outside bin was full upon our arrival and smelt badly by day two."

Various glass rubbish items left on kitchen counter. Otherwise everything was clean and tidy. Couldn’t get the tumble dryer to work.

  • "Loved it! Had everything we needed and an amazingly stunning view."

Very clean and comfortable with up to date tv which really helped with the younger ones x The younger ones would have liked a lock on the bathroom door but that’s the only suggestion we can recommend x Thank you for sharing your lovely property and we will definitely recommend you lovely property to others.

  • "This was our third time at 1d, and it works really well for us, being clean, well-equipped and centrally located."

The only real issue is that the main double bed is uncomfortably soft - as it always has been.

Many thanks for your feedback. We are so pleased you love staying at 1D Harbour view. We have passed your comments onto the owner who has now replaced bed. We do hope that we can welcome you back again soon. Property Owner

  • "Lovely stay, clean and well accomodated."

Mostly in the kitchen where there is plenty coming equipment and plates/glassware. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and the view is absolutely superb! A great stay.

  • "Yes, I think it would be a good idea to provide more than one set of keys as one key is certainly not enough if there are two couples."

It’s not even enough for one. Also the WiFi code was not obvious, it should be with the instructions, not in the visitor book.

  • "The flat was in a perfect location so close to all amenities in Salcombe."

The view from the living area and balcony is amazing !! I would highly recommend this property for comfort and it was exactly as described if not better. There were a couple of things to feedback however as follows. Dripping kitchen tap requires attention and there were also a number of little flies in the property - we are not sure why as were there as we arrived so not food related. Also be aware that parking especially at weekends is challenging and you are unlikely to be able to park outside the property at all. We were aware of this and you just need to factor in a long walk up the hill to find parking!

  • "Equipment needs clearcut instructions."

Otherwise it can't be used. I had to ask for help with the cooker.towel rail and operating systems for the two showers. I had problems trying to get through to the Salcombe office and eventually had to walk down in pouring rain. Generally I deplore widespread use of recorded messages and said so at the time! Unloading and loading were very tricky as there is of course no allocated parking. Parking generally in Salcombe is a problem.

  • "The location of this property is great, just a short walk from the waterfront and shops."

It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The view from the lounge is wonderful. Having no parking space outside requires a bit of planning but it was no great inconvenience and there were spaces outside when needed for unloading and loading luggage.
