  • "The overall quality of the accommodation was very good and comfortable internally."

    The garden was (as advertised) fully secure. The only difficulty was the parking arrangements outside the property, It was difficult to park a large car in the space designated, partly due to there being plant pots in front of the building. These couldn't be seen when reversing. I would not recommend this property for anyone not fully fit, since it is at the top of town up a very steep hill, and there is very limited parking in the town, both in terms of spaces and maximum length of stay allowed.

While the property offers comfortable accommodation and a secure garden, we appreciate your comments about the parking and steep access.     Everything you would need is there and the furniture, furnishings are top notch. Garden gorgeous and parking is a real bonus. We had a brilliant time in Salcombe but the accommodation really made it

  • "Lovely house in Salcombe ."

    Comfortable and very well equipped with a lovely courtyard garden . V convenient for town and North Sands as long as you are ok with hills . It was perfect with us and our Labrador . Thank you .

    It's a very good spot for both Salcombe and the beach which the dogs love, particularly at low tide. As you say - also if you like hills. But Devon has a lot of those! Thank you for your feedback. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful week's stay at Bonadventure Close in early May."

    The property was welcoming, clean, comfortable, well equipped and the perfect base for our family holiday. We particularly loved using the little outside courtyard garden and BBQ area and the fact the mattresses on the beds were very comfortable. I would not hesitate to return to stay there and recommend to friends and family. Parking was limited for more than one car, however the listing clearly stated this, so we were well prepared. We also noted that it was located near to top of the hill in Salcombe town and managed the hilly walks back and forth most days. All in all a brilliant trip and lovely place to stay - many thanks!

  • "Was a wonderfully clean and delightful place to stay."

    The facilities were excellent and the views were breathtaking. There really is only one space for a car though and when the neighbour parks his boat next to it (as his right) it was a tight squeeze but then we did have a bit of a tour bus (don’t get me started on the narrow lanes down to Salcombe in that haha). But the cottage was delightful and had all the things to make your stay most comfortable : dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier etc. My kids loved the rather large bath in the family bathroom and my Mum and Dad appreciated the walk in shower. Book it - you won’t regret it :)

  • "3 Bonaventure Close was perfect for our 3 night stay in October."

    The house was comfortable, stylishly furnished, warm and cosy. We only needed to use the 2 double bedrooms, which were both very comfortable. It is a 5-10 minute walk into town and the walk is quite steep (the same everywhere in Salcombe unless you stay right in the centre). Also, the driveway into Bonaventure Close is quite steep. This wasn't a problem for us, but may be for others. We would happily recommend and stay there again.

  • "Very well furnished, spotlessly clean and very comfortable."

    Plenty of storage. Kitchen equipment and extras well above the usual standard of holiday homes we have used. Consumables like liquid soap, kitchen foil etc were provided and much appreciated. The garden was well designed and maintained and was secure for the dog.

    Garden compact but beautiful Hill to the property from town is not too bad Driveway steep and turning around can be awkward if other vehicles are on the shared drive.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay."

    Excellent location and comfortable, clean ,well equipped accommodation. Everything in walking distance, including a children’s park, spar shop. Salcombe town centre (albeit a hilly walk) itself has everything you can possible need - a good selection of shops, places to eat, coffee and ice cream etc… A longer walk to north sands is also highly recommended too. Hope to come back soon, thank you!

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
