Beautiful apartment , amazing views , top quality appliances which makes a difference, feels like you are thought about not just another guest , would definitely recommend you would not be disappointed .

An excellent apartment with stunning views of the estuary.

Excellent facilities and very comfortable. We used the balcony in the twin room for morning coffee and evening drinks. Very comfortable beds and living room furniture. On sit parking which was a bonus a 10 minute walk into Salcombe where there are excellent shops and eateries. Hoping to go back next year.

Everything perfect as on every visit to this property (which has private parking).

Given we were there during a heatwave, this year we particularly appreciated having access to our terrace at ground floor level with the umbrella providing additional shade. A light bulb over the mirror in the ensuite failed soon after our arrival and this was immediately replaced when we reported it to Coast & Country Cottages in Island St.

We loved the balcony and the views from the living room. Parking was an added bonus. Bedding was good quality and towels large, super white and fluffy. The shower in the en suite was excellent. Wi-Fi worked well. Thoughtful welcome pack with tea and milk. An interesting selection of books. Everything we needed for our stay.

A lovely clean, bright and airy property with fantastic views across the estuary.

Everything you could need was there, topped off with a parking space. Yes, it's on a fairly steep hill, but if you want the views, you need to be up there!

Fabulous place to stay!

The apartment is well placed to walk into Salcombe and also to the beaches, quite a steep hill, but manageable. The views are amazing, especially from the balcony, we loved spending time up there. So well equipped too, everything you could need, and a powerful shower in the en-suite. Highly recommended.

Extractor fan in kitchen area needs blocking off.

The living room was quite chilly during windy weather due to the draught blowing in through it. Apart from that, the property was very comfortable and well positioned.

We very much enjoyed our stay at 4 Blue View in Salcombe.

The accommodation was very spacious,comfortable and contained everything you need for a lovely holiday. The kitchen was very well equipped too. We also liked the fact that pets were not allowed in the accommodation and that it had a dedicated parking space. If you want spectacular views of Salcombe then this is the property for you - the outlook over the water was wonderful.

Lovely apartment with fantastic views of the estuary from several locations.

It was very clean, everything worked and was in a quiet location. The balcony was particularly nice, being enclosed it was sheltered from the weather - great for a coffee or glass of wine! The main bedroom was a good size with plenty of storage with an en-suite shower which, for some reason, is not mentioned in the details.

The outside deck mis-leading as the listing makes it seem part of the property.

It is a separate area on a lower level. The property should have more and varied glasses for 4. Eg: wine glasses, prosecco glasses. No large cutting knives. Bed comfortable, cooker includes integral microwave this was a good feature. Dishwasher handy. A nice property, Comfortable double bed. Excellent powerful en suite shower.

We have stayed in blue view for at least 5 times .

This was the repeat of a regular visit to Blue View.

As always, it lived up to our expectations.

The flat is perfect for views and all the windows make it bright and airy, even on a grey day.

We particularly enjoyed the upper balcony in the morning sunshine and it also shelters from wind and rain, depending on direction, of course. The flat is tastefully furnished, comfortable and well-equipped with good quality appliances, crockery etc. as well as comfortable sofas and beds. Good to have control of the heating too. The parking space itself is a real bonus and is easily large enough for our estate car, although care needed getting in and out. The flat is a great base for accessing Salcombe’s beaches and also walking both Bolt Head and Bolt Tail and further afield Hope Cove etc. Be prepared for the uphill walk back from town.

Great property.

Parking space a bonus, not easy to get in or out of depending on residents or size of car. Not sure this was clear in the listing details. Had a great stay Salcombe is beautiful and the flat had everything you needed and more.

This is now the third year that we’ve stayed at 4 Blue View.

The property is easy to locate, including accessing the key on arrival. The views are incredible and access to the town is very convenient. We did have an issue with the balcony door which we raised with the office and they swiftly came back with next steps. Would certainly recommended the property for anyone with 4 person to stay here.

A fantastic stay, superb property, much better than expected.

Beautiful holiday home, amazing views and convenient location.

We loved our stay at this property and would highly recommend. We were worried about the parking being tight but it’s actually a very generous space for our estate car, and so great to have in Salcombe. We would love to return. Don’t hesitate to book! Only suggestion is to have a little microwave please.

Our second visit to blue view and will not be our last,excellent facilities all round,cleanliness,location,first rate.

We loved our stay at blue view.

The kids loved their bedroom with their own little balcony. It was well equipped and had everything we needed. We loved it.

This apartment is beautifully kept, extremely comfortable, well equipped & wonderful views.

Some nice touches like decent reading lamps, Roberts radios, Dyson fan. There is some work being carried out next door but didn’t bother us as we were out & about daytime. Would stay again.

A faint landing light on the upper floor may prevent someone falling down the stairs when going to the toilet in the middle of the night.

We have stayed in 4 Blue View at least ten times and always love staying there, we spend a lot of time looking at the amazing views!

The apartment is looking very good, it has new flooring and a new kitchen.

Had a lovely stay at 4 blue view, only a couple of issues the door lock on the apartment was difficult to open from the inside not sure if it is the key or the lock, it took us nearly 5 minutes before we could get out one time, although it was fine getting into the apartment.

We think it would also benefit from a extractor fan to stop the cupboards getting wet. We have stayed at 4 blue view many times over the years and have loved the views, it was nice to see the new kitchen and lounge sofas.

Lovely flat with great views of the estuary.

Clean, comfortable and well equipped. There was an issue with the lock on the door which I reported, and hopefully that has been addressed. The vertical sash windows in the lounge are very drafty, and probably need the brush pile seals replacing. It was fine in April, but in the winter it would be freezing. These are only little niggles, and I would definitely book the property again.

We had a great week at Blue View.

It was spotlessly clean, the furniture and fittings were top class, as was the bedding. We slept like logs. The only comment would be that the refuse information was unclear. It said there was one bin day a week but we weren’t sure what day. We put our glass and cardboard into a recycling crate but we weren’t sure if it belonged to the property. The only other criticism would be to say the patio needs some TLC. The chairs were rusty and the flagstones needed a clean. Other than that, it’s a fabulous apartment with some of the best views we’ve ever had from an apartment in Salcombe.

The property would benefit from clear information about refuse collection.

We arrived to find the bin full and although we left it out all week, it was never emptied. Spoke to the bin men, who declined to empty it on the basis of it being trade waste (rental property). They couldn’t advise who would empty it or when. Thankfully Sykes Cottages arranged a private collection to save me a trip to the tip! A minor point and don’t let it deter you, because this is a lovely, well appointed, clean and comfortable flat, with excellent views. This was our second stay and we throughly enjoyed our week (regardless of the full Bin!)

Clean, comfortable and well equipped apartment, with commanding views across the estuary.

The allocated parking is a bonus (although access is rather tight). A few minor maintenance issues (poor shower flow), but nothing major. During our stay renovation works started on the building next door, which involved heavy machinery. This didn’t spoil our enjoyment as we were out each day, but anyone intending to spend more time in the apartment may experience some noise. Overall, an enjoyable week!

Overall very good, small point in that the wok was dirty and worn so I just used the frying pan instead.

On site parking makes up for minor negatives. Shame the washing machine was out of order that was a pain but minor issues and overall very positive. Our second time stopping at this property. Fantastic views and close to the centre.

Our stay in 4 Blue View was our first holiday without the children and was just perfect!

We have also never been to Devon before, the property was in a great location and has the most fabulous views of the estuary, only a 5 minute walk down into Salcombe with all it has to offer, pubs, cafes and lots of shops. The parking space was definitely an added bonus too. The property was spotless, very comfortable and well appointed. At the time of our stay the washing machine was out of order, which was a little inconvenient but I had received an email and small refund in way of apology prior to our arrival. Would definitely recommend!

We have already recorded our reaction to the lack of a washer/dryer during our recent stay.

However, to be clear; We booked this property ( again, many previous stays) as it is a great base, We arrived to find the washing machine not working. We spent quite some time googling the error code etc to try to fix it and called the office on the morning of Monday 9th May. We were told that an email had been sent to us. We later found this in our junk Mail. The email was dated 24 April, almost 2 weeks before our arrival. It stated that the washing machine would be “ unavailable” during our stay. We would like to know; What steps were taken in those two working weeks to either; 1. Repair the machine. 2. Replace the machine. It is not, from our perspective acceptable to declare the facility “unavailable”a poor choice of words at best. It was in the flat, it was available but was not working. No one, to our knowledge, visited the flat during our stay so we assume that the next customers will face the same inconvenience. We were looking at rebooking this flat in August for one week prior to our booking with you at 3 Church Hill flats in Salcombe but will not do so unless we are assured that this facility will be “available”. We work hard and look forward to our holidays. We are active people, swimming, running and so on when in Salcombe. It was a huge inconvenience not to have the machine working and the suggestion from the local office that we use the launderette in town was not acceptable. Did they seriously suggest that we walked down to town each morning to wash and they wait to dry our laundry? I would like your assurance that this reply is seen by the owners as we would be interested in their reaction to your handling of the situation. We appreciate that there are some situations when a problem may arise during a rental and a few days may elapse before a full repair or replacement is possible. However, this was not the case and we assume that you have removed the washing machine/ dryer from your website listing for this property so as not to mislead anyone looking to book it now. 4 Blue View is a lovely apartment with great views.

Definitely would stay there again.

We had a great time.

The property is well situated and was clean and tidy, The living room and upstairs bedroom have lovely views, there is off road parking and it is easy to get to the main shopping street. The bedrooms are both nice, although it would be handy if the upstairs bath had a shower. Whilst the information says to bring oven gloves there are now lots of pairs! Do also watch out for the foil used to line the oven blocking the fan - this can considerably increase cooking times!

Overall excellent.

If I was going to be ultra critical the shower door was faulty, the shower head needs replacing, the radiator in the lounge was too small and the mattress on the double bed was too soft, but these are minor points the property was lovely, great views, fantastic location location and well equipped, would gladly stop there again. Superb.

The flat was spotlessly clean with excellent facilities.

Couldn’t fault it. The views from the flat are superb and being blessed with excellent weather we particularly liked the upstairs balcony and also the outside patio space. Parking space below was particularly useful. Excellent views have their downside - It is located half way up a steep hill and is a bit of a slog back up from Salcombe.

Another wonderful week in Salcombe and staying at 4 Blue View was perfect.

It had everything that you’d need, great views and super comfy beds and linen. We will definitely book this apartment again.

Unfortunately when we arrived at 4 Blue View at 3.

15 pm it was very disappointing to find the apartment had not been cleaned, the beds were not made and there was no sign of the cleaners. After a short period the cleaners turned up and did apologise for not having had time to clean the apartment. The lady said she had had to clean six places already that day. I'm afraid I was not a happy bunny and did say I expected to be able to access a cleaned and covid-19 prevention ready apartment upon arrival. My husband and I agreed to leave the property whilst it was cleaned but knew it would take quite some time to ensure it had been cleaned thoroughly. Whilst waiting in the car we saw both cleaners throw the dirty linen into the boot of their car and drive off! There was no explanation given. We went back to the apartment and I proceeded to clean it myself. I had just finished vacuuming and had started to make the bed when two ladies arrived from the office in Salcombe. They had been told, presumably by the cleaning ladies that "there was a problem" and these staff members from the office had been sent to make the apartment suitable for us "new arrivals". These members of staff were very apologetic and could see I was upset by the circumstances which had arisen. If only we had received a message via telephone or email, letting us know the property was not going to be available at the time stated, we would have delayed our arrival and the whole experience could have been avoided. It was disappointing as we had an especially long journey only to find that during the covid-19 virus, our apartment was not presented as it should have been. 4 Blue View itself is a lovely, well appointed property and we had an enjoyable week stay there.

The flat was spotlessly clean as usual.

We came with our daughter and 4 month old Grandson, and there was plenty of room for all his baby equipment and travel cot. We had 3 glorious days of Devon sunshine, warm enough for shorts on the balcony. It really was a tonic after a difficult year, and set us all up for Lockdown 2. We’ve booked again for March 2021.

Apartment very clean.

On arrival.Comfy bed and lovely shower.Sofas need to be replaced as becoming uncomfortable.Lovely views.Parking is very tight.But great to have parking.Salcombe is a lovely place.There is a steep climb back up from town, but a handy place to sit and enjoy the view halfway up.But be aware door to building can trap fingers when closing.Would recommend staying here.

Blue View is in a perfect position!

The views from the apartment are stunning and Salcombe is easily accessible - just a short walk into town. The apartment itself is clean, spacious, very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Absolutely loved the little balcony on the top level and we really appreciated the 2 pairs of binoculars that were available so we could watch the activities on the water. We would love to return! One small piece of feedback - the en-suite bathroom would benefit from a shelf or cabinet on the wall as we had nowhere to place our washbag items.

This was our third holiday in 4 Blue View.

This property has the most amazing views of the Ria and from the top balcony the sea. We can spend hours watching the boats below us. The apartment is very comfortable and an easy distance to walk down into Salcombe for dinner. We love it and have already booked the same week next year!

4 Blue View was a delightful apartment to stay in.

It was well equipped and had wonderful views of the estuary. A couple of problems we had, were addressed very quickly by staff at Coast and Country Cottages. The staff we had dealings with in the office were extremely helpful and friendly. We have already paid a deposit on the property for next year!

Yet another fantastic week in Blue View 4.

We are always amazed by the views, and there are additional details to pick out each time we visit. Flat very comfortable and well equipped, will be returning in November as Blue View 4 is completely booked up until the end of September - that says it all.

A fabulously positioned apartment with views that just keep on giving. Loved the upstairs balcony which is a great breakfast spot. We used the patio area, probably good if you are a family, but much preferred the balcony. A great addition. Easy to walk down to Fore street and all the eateries bit uphill back but that walks off pudding! Great walking from the doorstep and good weather meant no driving just heading off to local beaches. Negatives some of the doors needed a clean where fingers had been but that's a minor thing. Overall

Love the balcony . Windows need a bit of attention they are a bit stiff when trying to open and shut

This is our 11th visit to the Blue View building and we have never been disappointed. Another brilliant week in these well equipped flats with stunning views.

Another excellent flat in the Blue View building and stunning views. The flat was well equipped and the best duvets we have had in a rental property. We are returning in October.

Modern apartment in walking distance to town centre but high enough to have superb views up and down the estuary. Undercover parking goes with it..Excellent value for money. Also within comfortable drive to surrounding villages and the moors. We have rented holiday accommodation in UK often and this is the best so far.

Lack of coat hooks in hall, no shelf for soap/shampoo in shower and badly placed ceiling lampshade in upper bedroom (not needed as there are ceiling spots fitted)
