  • "The apartment has a beautiful view overlooking North Sands beach which was buzzing with body boarders, swimmers and walkers."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stayed in this very spacious, well equipped apartment.

  • "Roomy and lovely setting."

Will book again but hope that flat will have been upgraded by then. It is tired looking and smells musty. A bit like a student let is probably the best description with the two bean bags not looking out of place . Presumably they are there for the owners pets, as they certainly don’t provide any useful purpose for guests. The settee and cushions need upgrading and probably the carpets as well. With just a little bit of care and attention it could be perfect.

  • "The front bathroom is obviously new but there was no shower mat on the slippery shower floor."

no shelf in the shower for products and no grab rail.....my wife is 85 and not too steady on her feet. also the spring operated wash basin plug didnt hold water and the loo flush was difficult to operate. also no spare waste bin liners for bathroom or kitchen bins. re the kitchen , the waste didnt seem to be functional on the sink and the sink itself was a little tired and scratched.having said all that we enjoyed our stay but the four star category you gave this property compared to the 5 star number 9 we stayed in was probably a true reflection of things

  • "There was no toilet roll or hand soap in one of the bathrooms."

The EV charger information wasn't very clear and contradictory. Apart from these two points, it was a nice apartment, excellent view and great pool!

  • "Spacious apartment in a great location walkable to beach and town."

Heated swimming pool was a plus. Interior decor is a little tired and dated, but reflected in the price. There are 2 inaccuracies in the listing, which were material to us: firstly there is no Superking size bed as described. There is an en-suite master bedroom with king bed, a 2nd room with a king bed and a single bed, then a 3rd room with bunks. The second error in the listing is stating that there are 2 EV car charging points. There ARE, but as there is no mobile signal in the carpark we found them impossible to use. The chargers are also unmarked, unclear and the info pack is not up to date. We fed this back to the agent, who were very communicative, so hopefully this will be resolved.

Tried twice totalling 40 minutes and your booking page didn’t have the facility to change names

Many thanks for your feedback. We can only apologise that you had trouble when you tried to contact us initially. We understand you visited the office and from then on the lines of communication were open. We do not permit change of name on the booking page due to security reasons, we understand this can be frustrating, however we feel this is for the good of the customer. We do hope you had lovely holiday and enjoyed all Salcombe has to offer. Property Owner

  • "The apartment was superb and there was nothing that could have been improved."

Spacious, comfortable and extremely well equipped. Views from large balcony stunning, location just perfect and heated swimming pool a real bonus. One of the best properties we have stayed in.

  • "This is a spacious apartment with beautiful views of North Sands."

However, the apartment was clearly advertised as "no pets" and this was an important factor in our choice on booking. We were extremely disappointed on entering the apartment as we were met by the smell of of stale dogs, not helped by photo pictures of presumably the owner's dogs on the walls. Because of this we wouldn't book the apartment again because we expected and wanted an apartment that was pet free.

Many thanks for your comments and we have raised your concerns with the cleaners and managing agents. No pets have been at the property for over 2 years so it is very unlikely that any smells were pet related. Property Owner

  • "The accommodation was well equipped, comfortable and clean with outstanding views of North Sands."

However, we did have a couple of niggles. Firstly, we had to pick up our keys from a separate location. On a busy Saturday through narrow streets we could not park anywhere so went back to the park at the appartment to walk instead. A 3 mile round trip after driving 6 hours!! Only one set of keys for 2 couples. This caused problems which would have easily been solved by having a key safe at the apartment. The other annoyance was not being given an access combination code for the swimming pool. There were 2 scribbled numbers on post it notes in the apartment neither of which were correct. The current code needs to be given on the first day, not several days later! We only managed to access the pool for half of our holiday.
