The cottage is situated perfectly the fact it was not clean paint marked floor dirty and under the cushions on the suite had not been cleaned and the shower was tired the silicone around the base was full of black mould If these things had been cleaned properly it would have been great The fridge was not working but the office in Salcombe quickly brought another fridge The iron was missing

  • "Lovely property, great location and suited us down to the ground."

Only a couple of very minor gripes, the cleaning had not been done terribly well on arrival - the carpet was not very clean and the shower smelt a bit musty. Whilst the dishwasher is a very nice touch, it is not big enough to be effective and we did not use it at all. Also the fridge needs to be bigger, we really struggled with it and the freezer compartment is virtually useless due its size and being completely iced up. That said, it did not detract from a great week. Advise anyone booking this location to bring earplugs for nightime if you want to have an open window, Island street is very noisy at night - we knew this already and slept well in the very comfortable beds.

  • "The accommodation was wonderful."

The sofas and beds extremely comfortable. The furnishings were high quality and the kitchen was very well equipped (apart from no ice tray which, when reported to Sykes Cottages office, they delivered two ice trays the next morning.) Our only real criticism was that the television was placed far too high on the wall which caused us discomfort and have cricked necks when trying to watch Wimbledon. In the end we had to move the sofas further back towards the end of the sitting room. We would have given the cottage 5 stars if the TV had been at a lower level on the wall. Apart from that the cottage was fabulous.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Apologies for the TV height - I blame my brother-in-law for that!! We’ll look to get it lowered later this year and sorry it affected your Wimbledon viewing! I’m pleased you enjoyed your stay otherwise. O&B Property Owner

  • "Lovely stay at Quay cottage."

Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed the coffee machine and pods provided. Great location, easy walk to shops, restaurants and a little further to the beaches. Would have appreciated some specific info such as: hairdryer provided, you can drop off outside for a few mins with your luggage. Recommend Creek car park for easy access, long stay parking.

Many thanks for taking the time to submit a review. We are delighted that you had such a great stay and we have asked Coast & Country to ensure that more specific info is provided. O&B Property Owner

  • "Loved our stay in this cute, cosy cottage."

Being right in the heart of Salcombe meant we could walk to the local beaches, catch the ferry and were steps away from the great shops, bars & bakery without using the car at all! We choose to use JustPark to park on a local driveway. The cottage was spotless and the beds and linen were so comfy. We enjoyed playing the games provided in the lounge. Despite the bathroom being tiny it was still easy to use. All the cleaning products were there, which is always a bonus. Great to have a coffee machine and be left teabags, thanks. If you’re looking to experience the bustle and beauty of Salcombe on your doorstep this is the perfect place.
