    We shall definitely be re booking. My only criticism is the ability to contact you. We found this very frustrating and would wait an average of 15 minutes on hold to a main UK line number before being able to ask questions and then being put on hold whilst they spoke to the Salcombe office. We were given a number for the Salcombe office but this never worked (there was no option 4 to select) and we were always put to the ‘call centre’. It seemed unnecessary always speaking to a third party seeing as there was an office locally with lovely people in it who were willing to help, if only we could have contacted them!

With picturesque Salcombe's waterfront on the doorstep, this is an ideal position from which to explore the beautiful coastline by boat, hop on the small passenger ferry to discover unspoilt sandy beaches and hidden coves, or wander around the stylish boutiques and art galleries of this popular sailing town. Hidden behind large entrance gates directly off Fore Street, Quayside could not be more conveniently located in the heart of the town, but still offers seclusion, with private access and a driveway with parking for 3 cars. About the location

SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
