  • "Sunvale is a lovely cottage."

We really enjoyed our week here and made use of the garage during our stay. A 5-10 minute walk from the town centre, pubs, shops and the sea front. Our favourite places for lunch were The Blue Hut and Nourish. Can recommend the walk to Dawlish on a sunny day, we caught the train back. Take the ferry boat to Shaldon and visit Smugglers Tunnel and Ness Cove Beach. Teignmouth Museum is also worth a visit. The cottage has everything you need for your stay, very clean, comfortable and homely. Thank you for having us!

  • "A lovely property with everything you would want for a comfortable stay."

The property is spotlessly clean, the beds are extremely comfortable and the living accommodation modern and comfortable. The location is great for the town centre a short walk away. We used public transport to get around to other resorts so no driving was required. Parking can be a slight problem in the evening but we took advantage of the garage which is across the road from the property and cost £25 per week arranged directly with Christine, the owner, through Sykes cottage. There are lots of places to eat in Teignmouth and our favourites were The Crab Shack, The Jolly Sailor and the L’Invidia Italian restaurant. Remember to book as these places are very popular. We do not hesitate to recommend Sunvale, a lovely stay in a lovely home.

It was very clean and a pleasure to say in. There could have been more blankets, though, as it was a little cold at night. However, all the facilities were good. We would like to return one day soon.

Very pleased that you found the property to be of high standard. On street parking can sometimes be tricky, however, we can now offer access to a garage by the property which you can request use of at a cost of £25 per week. So always guaranteed a place to park. Property Owner

  • "Neighbours both sides were very noisy."

Downside to the information that parking outside on the road was available the fact that most days we went out and about and when we returned we could not park outside the property and we had to park way up the road was not helpful. The holiday was booked on the basis of personal parking space so will not be booking this property again. Location was good as we went to many local places with a good variety of options to enjoy.

Thank you for your comments. Sykes, Booking.com and other third party advert websites for our property advise in the text that it is 'on road' parking. We do also provide helpful information on arrival at the property regarding local parking facilities. We have not had any previous customer concerns re local noise and if we or Sykes had known at the time, would of course have helped you-, we do provide our owner contact number pre arrival and Sykes also currently has a dedicated team for assisting guests during their stay and an out of hours contact for any guest issues if you ring them outside office hours. We are however glad that overall you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner
