Springwell Lodge

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting Hot tub was a bonus.

Owners very generously gave us members passes to the devon county show, very enjoyable day. Would definitely recommend this accommodation

We had a lovely stay at Springwell lodge we had scones cream and jam on arrival in the fridge with milk which was a nice touch.

We met Kelly and Aron they were very friendly and any help we needed nothing was a problem. The rooms were clean fresh and a nice size. Nice views over the stables watching the horses. Plenty of space for parking. We will definitely stay there again.

Our stay was lovely and relaxing.

This was our second visit and it was just as nice. The hot tub was amazing and everything was clean and inviting. Thank you.

The covered hot tub is a real game changer that so many others should offer so you can enjoy what you are paying extra for whatever the weather . Kelly was absolutely lovely.

She made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and was very attentive throughout my stay. The place was spotless, comfortable, cozy and well equipped, and the scones on arrival were a lovely touch. Thank you so much — I’d love to come again!

We absolutely loved our stay.

The scones were delicious. Lots of little extra touches which showed a lot of thought had gone into making guests feel at home. The hot tub - wow, the best I’ve been in and wanted to bring it home with me. Directions were spot on. We didn’t actually see our hosts, but knew they were there if we needed anything. I just wished the Lodge was closer for more regular stays. Perfect.

A very secure garden for our dog! And a lovely big field next to the property that we could walk the dogs in too! Scones jam and cream were a very tasty welcome from the lovely owners !

We had a lovely stay at Springwell Lodge.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed — the owner, Kelly, had thoughtfully left us fresh scones, jam, butter, and milk, which was such a nice touch. Kelly herself is incredibly friendly and attentive, always available if we needed anything. The cottage was spotlessly clean and in excellent condition. It’s in a great location too — peaceful and perfect for dog walks, while still being very close to Exeter. One of the highlights was the hot tub in the garden — a fantastic way to relax at the end of the day! The only downside was the heat. During our stay, it reached 32°C and, unfortunately, there’s no air conditioning. There was one fan provided, but it struggled with the temperature, and the windows have restrictors and only one blind in the bedroom. I imagine it would be absolutely perfect in more typical weather, though. All in all, a charming and well-kept place with a great host. We’d definitely love to return — maybe just not during a heatwave! Kelly, thanks again!

We loved our stay.

Everything in the coach house was finished to a high standard. And the hot tub was excellent. Then garden was just right for our dog. Very happy

We stayed for 4 nights and felt so at home, modern and clean inside with everything you need (the scones on arrival were really appreciated).

Have to say the hot tub was amazing, we've stayed at quite a few self catering lodges/cottages and this was definitely the best hot tub to relax after being out for the day. While we were enjoying the hot tub our little dog was perfectly safe in the enclosed garden. Would recommend to all couples for a break away. Thanks to Kelly and Arron, we hope to come back xx

What a breath of fresh air,a perfect little retreat spotless accommodation modern and comfortable,well kept garden great for the family dog, great for relaxing in the jacuzzi which was spotless and hot can't say a bad word scones were delicious

The lodge is warm and welcoming and so clean and bright,plus the hot tub is amazing! There is everything you could possibly need and more and the welcome scones on arrival were a lovely touch. The hosts were easily contactable if you needed anything and the surroundings were green, lush and peaceful. Highly recommended for a relaxing break.

Gorgeous property, everything you need for a lovely little break.

The place was so clean and presentable. Had a lovely home from home vibe and was just perfect for a long weekend of relaxing. The hot tub is a very welcome addition to the property with some lovely views. Comfy bed, perfect shower, kitchen has all the amenities you need, decent size fridge/freezer. Could not fault the property one bit and will definitely hope to return one day. Thank you to Kelly and Arron for a fabulous stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Springwell Lodge.

The holiday let was clean & modern with grassed garden, patio table with chairs and a hot tub. The owners contacted us before our stay to ensure we could locate the property and to ask if we'd like the hot tub really upon arrival. When we entered the property we found hot cross buns, milk and butter which demonstrates the owners genuinely care that guests feel welcomed. I would highly recommend a visit to The Huntsman's pub in Ide (10 min walk) which has a lovely garden and amazing food! We will definitely return to this property again in the future. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a wonderful stay at Springwell Lodge.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and the property itself was perfect - very comfortable and well stocked with most things you could want for a week away. The hot cross buns on arrival were a lovely treat! The hot tub was excellent, very clean and having stayed at lots of properties with hot tubs, one of the best we have used and the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. We would love to come and stay again!

Wonderful property, exactly as shown on the images.

Everything is well kept and clean, the bed is also very comfortable! Really convenient location and although its on a busy-ish road I didn't notice a lot of road noise at all. The hot tub is wonderful and the covering and sheltered position means you can use it in almost any weather. The owners are easy to contact if you need them. Overall a great stay and I would absolutely return :)

what an enjoyable stay!

! totally better than what you see in the photos!! on arrival we were left jam and cream scones, the place was extremely clean and very cosy!! the hosts thought of absolutely everything!!! , tea cofee sugar, right down to plastic cups to use in the hot tub, washing up liquid, you name it, the hosts provided it,!!! towels and bath robes for the hot tub which was clean and so very warm, we really enjoyed our stay and definitely return, Thank you so much love Martyn and Karen

So beautifully kept and comfortable! Loved the hot tub , and the enclosed garden was perfect for the dog! As was the big field behind it for dog playtime! Thank you Kelly and Aaron and your family for a lovely friendly place to stay! The welcome scones were also very much appreciated ! We hope to be back soon !

The place was really lovely, I would stay there again if I came to Exeter another time.

Only minor issue was that half of the hot tub didn’t work. (But enough for 2) Other than that it’s pretty perfect for a get away!

The lodge has everything you need, location is amazing, wether it be a day at the coast or a city trip, it’s situated perfectly. The owners greeted us on arrival, really welcoming, attentive always there if you need anything. At the same time, they respect your privacy and leave you too it. Highly recommend and will be back in the near future. Thank you, so much!

If I could have stayed longer I would have!

!! We had the loveliest long weekend and will 1000% be rebooking. I was unsure at first as I knew the lodge was on the owners property and when you book time away you want privacy, but don’t let that put you off. We crossed paths once and that was it but even if we had seen them more it wouldn’t change my opinion :) The owners are lovely and have made the lodge a home from home. Lovely decor and hot tub is a massive plus. Defo a location that you need a car as about 30 mins away from beaches and activities!! Already recommended to friends & family x

Enjoyed a lovely three night stay at Springwell lodge.

When we arrived we were greeted with a lovely cream tea which we weren’t expecting and all the facilities/amenities had been well thought out! The location is fab as it’s just off the bypass so you’re able to easily access anywhere. When we weren’t out and about exploring, the lodge was the perfect little place to come back to. The hot tub was an amazing addition after a heavy day of walking. The garden is also completely secure so the fur baby was safe and not able to roam where he shouldn’t! Also great communication with Kelly and Arron as to where we pick the keys up etc. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! Thank you! Fran and Jono x

What a lovely place to stay, just what was needed for us, was far enough away from neighbours but close enough to shops for us to get supplies, so lovely to sit outside and listen to all the birds singing away, fantastic host couldn't have asked for more, very much recommended, thank you

The lodge was perfect.

Privacy and out of the way, whilst also being local to local pubs, shops and the seaside. The lodge itself was very clean & there were thoughtful touches throughout by the owners, including scones and an information pack with local amenities. The hot tub was great, even in the cold weather and was a great finishing touch. Would highly recommend & we will definitely be back here!
