On arrival I discovered although there is a parking space at the back of the house it was fairly difficult to get into without turning into a nearby neighbours driveway as the back lane is extremely narrow.

The steps down to the house are very steep when unloading luggage etc. Parking at the front of the house is impossible with double yellow lines and nowhere to park although there is access through the front door. Once inside the house it is wonderful! Spotless, bright, light and airy and very welcoming. It has everything you may need and feels like a home. The garden is lovely, front and back and fully enclosed if bringing a dog. Stoke Gabriel is a gorgeous, beautiful village and the local store has fresh produce and probably everything you may need.

We had a lovely stay at 2 Dart which was very comfortable, well equipped and a perfect base to explore the area.

Our Dog enjoyed his early morning walks through the orchard down to the river Dart and the locals are very friendly and helpful. The gardens front and back are very well maintained, and secure. The BBQ was a nice touch, although unfortunately there wasn't any gas. This didn't stop us enjoying eating alfresco as we used disposable BBQ trays instead. We had a very comfortable night sleep and our dog was very grateful for the fan as the weather was very hot. The only slight criticism, is this was the first cottage we've stayed at that didn't include a small welcome pack i.e pint of milk.

The cottage is lovely, this is our second year at 2 Dart and there seemed to be improvements to both bathrooms.

Just a simple request, there is nowhere to put your shampoo or soap in the showers a simple tray would resolve that issue. Also, in the summer, early afternoon the sun shines directly into the lounge area, a retractable blind would resolve this issue. Other than those small issues it is a lovely place to stay and we thougherly enjoyed our visit
