We and the dog had a very happy week wandering around the Talaton park and countryside.The perfect place to regain sanity…as long as you keep away from the narrow Devon lanes!

We couldn't fault it - the cottage is just perfect and so well equipped with everything you could possibly think of for efficient self-catering. The grounds of Talaton House are beautifully maintained. The fields and large grass areas are ideal for exercising dogs, walking, and for children to run and play in a safe environment. Diana is an exceptional host. Wonderfully pleasant and accommodating yet discreet and unimposing. She is always available and happy to help with anything and everything, or not to be seen at all! We loved the serene location and proximity to walks, beaches, excellent pubs, farm shops, and supermarkets. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

"The Gardener's Cottage was perfect for our family holiday to Devon."
The cottage itself was spotless, well equiped, and very comfortable. The grounds are spacious and provided endless opportunities for exploration and entertainment for our two young children. The owner was responded to questions quickly and was welcoming throughout the stay. We could have easily stayed another week without worry.

"Absolutely amazing property."
Owners were lovely. Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxury holiday. The finishing touches were of an extremely high standard and there wasn’t anything extra to be needed. All cooking implements were there and a bbq available with their implements as well. Just so pleased with the whole booking and experience. We will be visiting again!

"Gardeners cottage was a beautiful holiday home set in an idyllic location."
Near enough to get to many of the attractions we wanted to visit yet felt wonderfully remote from all the hustle and bustle we wanted to escape from for a few days.
The cottage itself was furnished in a high end contemporary designand was immaculately clean.
The fact that the cottages are dog friendly was what interested me to start with and it offered plenty of space for our energetic dog both inside and outside.
I would highly recommend the cottages.

The care and attention the owners have gone to are second to none! The property is beautifully designed and we had everything we needed. My dog was also remembered with a bag of treats and a bowl. Diana the owner was incredibly helpful and did everything she could to ensure that we felt welcome and had a pleasant stay. I cannot recommend Gardener's cottage highly enough, it is set in the most beautiful grounds of Talaton house with lovely walks just on the doorstep, a very friendly village shop and the lovely beaches such as Branscombe only a short drive away. We look forward to returning again in the future. Thank you Diana for making our first visit to East Devon so special.
