  • "Kitchen is quite tired when compared to photos, but well equipped and clean (facilities marked down for lack of outside space and limited comfortable seating downstairs)."

    Dog blankets were clean and parking was organised on request. Bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate and super comfortable beds. Busy little street up a hill from seafront but incredibly quiet in the evenings and friendly neighbours - we'd stay again.

  • "The property was fine but there need to be better instructions of how to reach it, particularly if coming by train and public transport."

    There were no useful instructions. Also there was no mention that there was a steep hill to walk up to eventually reach the property, For those of us of a certain age and with some mobility issues that was a problem. It restricted us in walking into town. Also it would have been helpful for information to be included in the property information pack about local buses. There was no information about where to catch buses and where they went to. Perhaps even a local street map. It seems that everything was geared for those with a car. Given that we are being encouraged to use public transport to help the environment this needs to be re thought.

Enjoy sea glimpses from the second-floor bedroom, and resting paces away from the beach and a hub of activity, 27 Exeter Street offers a well-equipped, characterful base for a family of six and their furry companion.

Park up in a nearby public car park, before making your way to your new lodgings.

Step indoors to be met by the homely sitting room, complete with a Smart TV and plush seating, along with a sofa bed to accommodate further guests.

Continue into the dining room, where mealtimes can be enjoyed together.

The kitchen is well-equipped with all the appliances for a self-catered stay and features a lovely sunroom, flooding the space with natural light.

About the location

TEIGNMOUTH

Dartmoor National Park 12 miles; Torbay 13 miles; Exeter 15 miles.

The historic, seaside town of Teignmouth is situated in South Devon on the mouth of the Teign estuary and boasts a working harbour, sandy beach, Victorian pier, sailing club, diving centre and sea activity centre. The seaward side of the town is known as ‘the Den’ and has elegant Georgian buildings, a large public area with lawns, play areas, tennis courts, a bowling green, and a miniature lighthouse. On the opposite side of Teignmouth are fishing boats and beach huts, plus views of the village of Shaldon and the hills of Dartmoor can be seen. Teignmouth also hosts folk and jazz festivals each year, whilst both the town and Shaldon hold annual carnivals and water regattas. If you decide to venture further afield, there is plenty to see and do close to Teignmouth including; the stunning Dartmoor National Park, the city of Exeter, plus the nearby harbour towns are well worth exploring.
